About this house rental

Check-in 2: P M or later. Check-out 11:00 AM. or earlier. The "Hill Cottage" has a fully stocked kitchen, large back deck, with table and chairs for outdoor smoking and dining outdoors. Pets? Yes- $20. fee.
Mediteranium deep tub with glass tiles, triple shower heads, one being a large "rainshower". It has skylight windows, a newer pillowtop memory foam queen size mattress, and gleaming white faux marble ceramic floors. Completely private, quiet, restful, the perfectly clean place to relax and explore the delights of the Hill. Extra sheets and towels, blankets, a large walk-in closet to hang your clothes and store your suitcases out of sight. A huge T V. , Wifi, easy key entry, self check-in. Best privacy. Lush with plants, flowers, and greenery. Host available next door if you need help with anything. Plus we have "instant book" and we're moderate
with easy cancellations. There is a laundromat 2 blocks away. If you are pressed for time I could wash and dry and put your clothes on hangers for you.
Park on the street in the front of the brick-front house or nearby.
To enter the cottage, just walk up the short, lighted driveway and through the unlocked chain length small gate. At that point you can see the cottage. We like to briefly welcome new guests, but we also accommodate self check-in . If you choose to check yourself in, the key will be on the doorknob,. There is a lockbox on the gate providing a spare in case you lose your key or lock yourself out. (Code provided after booking, along with ph.#. ) wifi code is posted inside. Pay owner for pet fees- 20. per pet per night. Please bring cash and pay on arrival. Less for longer-term stays. See John, Mary, or Aimee. Welcome to "The Hill"!

Host was very helpful and friendly. Coming from someone who travels a lot and struggles being comfortable in new places, this cottage was very clean and comfortable. Ill definitely be back.

It was a great studio with a deck. The bed was soft so for older folks, like us 😊 There is a futon no couch or chair. Kitchen and bathroom were good. WiFi would not work on deck which we like to sit outside. Everything was very clean and convenient. Restaurants everywhere in walking distance. Great neighborhood.

The cottage was small but very clean. The hot water was sketchy. The host was very helpful and friendly. The ad said there was a hot tub and we were very disappointed that was not correct. We enjoyed being on ‘The Hill’ and being close to several attractions.

The only negative is that the window air conditioner had trouble keeping up with the heat outside. Late afternoon/evening found us warmer than we liked inside. Cottage is clean, comfortable, private, and within walking of amazing Italian eateries. The Hill is a fun place to stay and this cottage didn’t disappoint. There was a fenced yard which was very convenient for relieving our two small dogs! Dumpster in the alley allowed us to dispose of dog waste conveniently. Would likely stay again.

Our stay at the cottage was pretty short, but it was lovely! The property owners are very nice (including their little mascot) and the cottage itself is cute and functional. It’s in very good condition. I highly recommend staying if you’re looking for a nice property to stay.

Clean, small cottage in a quiet neighborhood with several restaurants and taverns within walking distance. We never had trouble with on-street parking. The yard and patio were perfect for our dog.

We loved that parking was easy and the neighborhood was very walkable. It may be too far away for some folks, but we were able to walk to the Botanic Garden and have a nice outing. Everything about the stay was easy and we appreciated that the hosts had things set up to meet our needs when we arrived.

This is our second stay at the Cottage on the Hill and we look forward to staying here again. It is a quaint, clean studio style cottage. Authentic Italian Cuisine awaits less than a block away. This was a fabulous place for an overnight stay with our 2 small dogs. We will be back!

They provided snacks and were welcoming and friendly. Cute neighborhood with good places to eat within a block or two and very close to the parks! My only note is that it smelled a little off and it may have been to do with the AC being in a window near the dumpsters behind the property? Not sure because the house was spotless! Maybe a glade plug in or such to keep it smelling fresh?

Loved this spot! I flew out by myself to pick up a new family member (new puppy!!). I went over Mother’s Day weekend. Great spot right in the Italian district. I got great food all walking distance. Place was super cute! Was even cuter in person. Loved all the crystals they had around the property. They let me use a bike to ride around town since I didn’t rent a car. The hosts were great. Great communication. Felt very welcomed. I love visiting St. Louis. When I come back, I’ll want to stay at this spot again.

Host met us when we arrived. He was very nice. Took the time to show us everything and answer our questions. First VRBO. It was a pleasant experience. Our host John stocked our kitchen with drinks, fresh fruit and coffee pods. Plenty of corner dining spots near by. We would stay again!! Thanks John and Mary for a good stay!

We enjoyed our stay on the hill. The property had everything we needed. The back deck area was very peaceful, too. I enjoyed quite a bit of coffee out there. Within a two block walk we were able to enjoy an amazing Italian dinner, grab a deli sandwich across the street and hit the Missouri Baking Co. Would definitely stay there again when visiting St. Louis.

We stayed for a night on our way home from a camping road trip. John was kind and attentive. The cottage had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood during our short and rainy stay.

A quiet and comfortable place in a walkable neighborhood. We were there during a cold snap, and the cottage stayed toasty warm. We like to cook our own meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed (including a teapot, nice). Our hosts were always available. Thanks John and Mary.

Due to a death in the family, we were unable to stay this time. Have stayed here before and it is a lovely little cottage close to some great food choices, and perfect for staying in with my little dog. This will always be the first place I check when I want to overnight in STL.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Cottage on the Hill and we fell in love with the neighborhood. We were in the heart of the Italian Hill. The smell of amazing food permeated the air as we were unloading our car. Fantastic restaurants, bakery, and local coffee roastery were all within walking distance. Our host was very kind and helpful. The cottage was simple, immaculate, and just what we needed. We will be staying here again.

Beautiful little cottage. The owners were very accommodating . The rental had most everything we needed for our stay. They even left complimentary snacks and drinks for us. Great area however parking in evenings was tricky, with limited space due to customers going to nearby restaurants and bakeries. Very walkable. Close to quite a few parks. We very much enjoyed this lovely cottage on The Hill. The host was awesome and took care of the small details. The path to the cottage is lit well with led lights and the inside of the cottage was cozy and welcoming. Centrally located on The Hill with a wonderful deli across the street and an easy walk to all The Hill has to offer.
