About this cottage rental
This year-round cottage has it all and sleeps 6 with a first floor bathroom. This cottage was just purchased and has been totally remodeled. It even has a fenced in yard for your favorite dog! Just a couple minutes walk to the lake with very nice public dock access less than a block away. Also available at the dock is a boat launch, free of charge. Directly across the street from the launch is a large parking lot so you can easily park your trailer overnight, again at no cost.
The cottage sits on a large lot that provides ample space to park your car or your boat trailer if you'd rather park it there. Either way, you can pull a boat trailer in and out with no problem, easy access. PRIME location right near Lakewood Community Park, Lakewood Dog Park, The Rod & Gun Club, and all of the amenities on Fairmount Ave., which are all right around the corner.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and a dinner table that seats 6. An outside seating area with wicker furniture and a copper fire pit is a fun way to enjoy cool summer nights. Just pick up some firewood and you are good to go! A propane grill is also included to make your stay more enjoyable. In addition, there is a quaint front porch where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or tea.
Dogs welcome! (2 dogs max) If you would like to bring your dog with you, please let me know what kind of dog you have when making your reservation. Your dog will enjoy the fenced in yard. He/she will also enjoy the DOG PARK that is directly across the street from the cottage. Just walk across the street and you are all set to play with your favorite friend! We do charge a pet fee (per dog) due to the additional cleanings animals often require. Thank you in advance for following our rules!
There is a new washer and dryer in the cottage for your use as well. Just bring your preferred laundry detergent.
The cottage is close to Jamestown Ice Arena, Peek 'n Peek and Holiday Valley Ski Resorts, Seneca Casino, Panama Rocks and local bars/pubs. It's also only 5 minutes from Lakewood which has almost anything you would need. A 15 minute drive (10 minute boat ride) to Bemus Point and only a 10 minute drive to the Chautauqua Institute. There is little you will be missing during your stay! Enjoy a quiet vacation in a clean and totally updated cottage with all of the modern amenities!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Karen’s cottage! The space was perfect for the four of us - cozy, clean, and welcoming. We were in town for the eclipse, and the outdoor space and fire pit were a perfect place for us to hang out and watch it! The cottage had everything we needed, and it’s close to many places to shop, eat, and play. Karen was an excellent host! If we’re back in the area, we would definitely stay here again!

Owner very responsive to questions about the property. Great location near the lake and close to Southern Tier Brewery and Peak and Peak. The unit had pretty much everything we needed. The only drawbacks the one and only TV in the living room is very small. It appears a previous renter ripped the cable connection out of the TV. The only option was to use the apps like Netflix. The Internet score from our children was A+ for speed. The instructions to open and lock the entrance keypad were incorrect. To open simply type in the four digit code provided. There is no need to hit the check button in the lower right corner. To lock the keypad simply hit the button with a lock on it. It took us several minutes to figure it out. The other things to point out was the unit smelled musty, the bathroom sink dripped the whole time, the furnace is very very loud when running. The bed in the master room is very small. The listing is for a queen I would say it's more of a double. The last suggestion for the owner is to provide additional bedding for the couch in the living room.

Property is in a good location, good size and has convenient fenced in yard. The floors were very clean but it did have cob webs and smelled a little musty. It is however very close to the lake so we expected some of the smell and a couple spiders. If you have toddlers it may not be the best place just because the doors are easily opened and the stairs are steep, but we bought a baby gate and just kept and eye on the doors. Communication was great and the house is set up well. Furniture is comfortable and neighbor hood is quiet.

Karen was awesome at accommodating our special requests which we appreciated immensely! The beds were comfy and my son enjoyed fishing at the lake too! Thank you Karen for everything!!!

Overall this is a nice rental. A couple of items that kept me from giving it 5 stars. The teapot on the stove needs to be replaced... it had rust spots on the bottom. I drink tea every night, so a big deal for me!
Also, the house did smell musty when I arrived. I get this can happen in between stays. I hope the host could "air out " the house for a day or so prior to a guest arriving. With a bit of Fabreeze and the heat going, the smell was gone.

The house was just as advertised and conveniently located for our adventures to Griffis Sculpture Park, Jamestown Audubon and the National Comedy Museum.

We had a lovely stay here. The property is well maintained, very clean and conveniently located. We made good use of the kitchen for many of our meals. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet, safe and pleasant for walking, just a short distance to the boat launch. Recommend highly!

Great home away from home. Includes all the amenities you need for your stay. The outdoor patio is a great place to hang out fireside or with your dog. It has a large umbrella that came in handy on the sunny days. The location is convenient. You can get to most "tourist" sites in under 30 min. Great washer and dryer for those needing to do laundry. Wonderful people at the dog park across the street and at the boat launch down the block. The boat launch/park is a great place to see the sunrise or sunset over the lake. We really enjoyed this area of NY and plan to visit again. PS: Checkout the Comedy Center when you are in town. 10/10 museum.

House was clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great fenced back porch area. Easy access to boat ramp on South end of the lake right down the street. The ramp is really shallow would recommend using the State Park ramp at Longpoint for a deeper ramp for bigger boats.

We just needed enough space for our two adult kids and myself, along with our small pooch. The space is comfortable and very clean, beds were fine, decor is lovely, kitchen has all one could want. Convenient fenced-in area off the side door to let dog out if needed. Nice area to walk in - the block is right at the lake; you can't walk right in front of the lake but on the road the houses that face the lake are on. Didn't use the dog park but saw several dogs there w/their owners. Nice community park w/picnic tables close by, at the lake itself. Dock is very close by, maybe 10 houses down the road.
Anything one needs for shopping/outings is also close by, though it's not "in your face" or in earshot either. Just a short walk or drive away.
Karen was super responsive with any/all questions! It doesn't get better than this as far as communication goes :-).
We came in mid-January and very much enjoyed our getaway, even with the cold. I imagine it's glorious in the summer! Highly recommend.

Cute and Cozy Cottage
We were in town for the Thanksgiving holiday! This cottage was the perfect place for our family of 4 and our dog! The place was clean and well supplied with everything we needed, towels, paper products and soaps as well as a shovel and rock salt for the snow we had during our visit!! Karen was quick to respond to any questions and allowed us to check in around 1pm when we arrived into town! We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Cottage
We had a great stay at this cottage. The place is nicely decorated and the owner is super-friendly and was easy to reach when contacted. We also found the location to be convenient to local marinas for boat rentals which we took advantage of during our visit.

Very Nice Place
The house was just the right size for our family and was convienently located to the Lake and many activities. The fenced yard was a real bonus for our young grandchildren. Karen, the property owner, was very responsive, and available throughout the week. We would stay here again.

Lovely Lake Cottage
Perfect for family stay- well equipped for all our needs. We found lots to do, even on rainy days! Appreciated the games provided as well as smart tv. We went boating and tubing on the lake, walked the trails at Long Point, and visited the shops at Bemis Point- enjoyed them all.

The house was just as pictured and quite adorable! Enjoyed our coffee on the front porch and a cocktail by the backyard fire pit! Only complaint - with 3 women in the house - needed another/larger mirror in the bedrooms! Would definitely book this again!

Summer fun
We enjoyed our stay at this cottage, It was very clean and had everything you need. The owner of the cottage, Karen,was more than helpful, we had a little trouble with the TV and she worked on it till is was resolved. The owners go out of their way to help!! Would highly recommend renting from them.

Great week at the lake!
We had a great week at the lake. We enjoyed it so much that we are looking to buy a property in the area! The home was clean, well equipped and on a nice quiet street. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. It was very close to the water and also close to stores/restaurants/boat launch. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
