Lovely hotel that was warm and friendly.

As we were attending a wedding in the village the location was perfect. The beds were comfy and the evening meal and breakfast were very good with excellent choices. The gardens and grounds were absolutely lovely but due to rain only got a short window to explore them. The hosts were excellent and ready to help in any way they could.

Beautiful property and area.

It was a fantastic experience. I never stayed in the castle before. The reception was very welcoming and made us feel special. We had our dinner in the castle restaurant. The gentleman who served us was very skilled and made everything very smooth. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. My husband had a stake with a delicious mustard sauce, chips and steamed vegetables. I had a delightful duck best, which I had never had before because I'm not fond of chicken breast, but this was so different. I will have it again in the future. I am planning to come back in the future. PS I loved the cat I meet on the property 🐯🐈😊

Not as the Booking.com pictures and beware the road if you have off lead dogs.

Hosts lovely couldn't do enough for us. Food good for evening meal and breakfast.

Understand massively up keep of old buildings but little things like paint work , bathroom ,windows etc including signage and hotel entrance need attention. This hotel is located on a very busy road.

Brilliant family run hotel, very friendly helpful and breakfast delicious

Stayed for a local family wedding couldn’t fault the stay everybody was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great Brrakfast and service.

Great food and welcome in this small stunning historic hotel

Our second visit to this historic hotel which is full of character and run by charming owners, Elena & Alex. We had a delicious meal in the dining room and the breakfast was equally good. Comfortable and quiet room meant a great night’s sleep.

Beautiful friendly hotel in a fabulous setting

It is as beautiful in reality as shown in the photos. Ellie and Alex are so helpful, accommodating, and friendly. A comfortable, stunning location, comfy beds, large rooms, big bathrooms. Fabulous food. It was a lovely 2-day break in the middle of a week's walk. Good pub and beer down the road.

Hotel not a pub, so although wine, whisky, and bottled beers are available, the real ale is a 5 minute walk away

Everything perferct from the rooms and the service.we ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.breakfast was really good as well,had a full english and there was also a good selection of fruit.there was also breakfast bars n cereal,would highly recomend a stay here

We attended nearby wedding. Stayed 2 nights. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet with lovely clean room and good breakfast.

Stunning place

The owners are fabulous 🙂 the building is so gorgeous and old

The music at 8am coming through our bedroom floor and the cleaning cupboard door been constantly banged

Welcoming, warm and relaxing stay.

Ran by a family who live onsite. Very Very welcoming and helpful. Gorgeous room, clean and heating on full, which was needed as it was -5 outside. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast delicious, great choice and served hot. Had forgotten safety pins, garter arm bands etc, of course the receptionist (mother) had everything, very impressed.

We - along with our dog - received such a lovely welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, and the castle is gorgeous. We were equally as comfortable in our spacious bedroom as we were in the lounge with its wood burner, comfy sofas, books and games. We didn't spend much time in the garden because of the time of year but they were very spacious and great for sitting out in during warmer weather.
