We visited Huntington state park and Brookgreen. Both places were outstanding. We had some great seafood and some soft ice cream. All located in close proximity

It was a great stay we really enjoyed ourselves. We had car trouble and they refer to a good mechanic everything worked out well. They are very good people.

Not only was this a great place for me and my boyfriend to stay, but a great place for the dogs too. We had rented this place not know it had a fence for the dogs and when the host told us we were thrilled that our fur babies could have a place to run around and play. The host was amazing with any questions we had and would always answer the phone if we called. I recommend this place to anyone who needs a cozy place for them and their pups!!

The place was beautiful, impeccably clean and so very comfy! All of the gorgeous decor was made by Shug or other local artists. Shug was just warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. We were a little leery because the pics were dated 2013 but it was even better than pics. We were close enough to all the action yet had a nice quiet place to come back to and relax at the end of the day or even for a little nap. We will be back and look forward to staying at Shug shack again.

Huntington Beach State Park is minutes away and so are amazing restaurants and activities. Everything was clean and comfortable. We hope to visit again!

Shug’s Shack had everything we needed, conveniently located, easy in& out. Loved sitting on the patio in the mornings with coffee. Our day at Huntington State Park Beach was so nice. Whenever we need another “beach-fix”, we’ll check on this again!

I came up for the Carolina country music festival from Charleston. shugs shack is the perfect spot away from downtown Myrtle busyness, but close enough to drive to the festivities. The actual location was very clean, cute and quiet. I absolutely loved the unique sea shell decor. We will 100% be visiting this VRBO again. Thank you Shug!!

My wife and I were really excited about our stay. There was some bad weather coming in (bad enough to shut down Myrtle Beach) so we made the choice to unfortunately not go. We reached out through VRBO to the owner and never heard a word back. Not even a "We stand firm with our cancelation policy and don't allow date changes". We rated the stay a 3 because we did not stay and it would not allow me to leave them blank. If it looks anything like the pictures then i have no doubt that it is a beautiful place to stay. Communication is very underrated and goes a long way. Try communicating back with the people who communicate with you.

The place is very nice and cozy. They knew we were riding down on a motorcycle in the rain and made sure the garage door was open so we could roll in. Super nice and will stay here again

We spent a few days in the area scouting for location to move to maybe. We enjoyed the location of this property. It was easy to get to and get to other places along the coast. Definitely would recommend staying here. Our dogs enjoyed it as well.

We loved this cozy and relaxing unit. Eclectic and artsy, comfortable bed, great outdoor area to sit and enjoy dinner and a drink or two. The owner is super friendly and supplied us with treats and you can use their pass for Huntington Beach State park nearby. Great getaway, and it is dog-friendly. Highly recommended.

Stayed 2 days/nights - wonderful host, very clean and spacious space! Highly recommend when you are in Murrells Inlet!

Quiet, comfortable & well appointed accommodations conveniently located to all Murrell's Inlet has to offer. Hosts were friendly, hospitable and welcoming to our entire party (including our 9 month old puppy) but respected our privacy. A welcome & refreshing alternative to the hustle of Myrtle Beach that allows you to truly enjoy the 'Salt Life' at it's finest. Perfect fit for our vacation goals. Highly recommend.

We loved returning to Shug’s with our pups to enjoy delicious seafood that is very close by and Huntington Beach State Park, also just minutes away. Cindy thinks of everything! Love the new fence for the dogs too! Thanks for another great stay! We look forward to returning in the future!

The property was spotlessly clean which we greatly appreciated. It was beautifully decorated. We relaxed, felt totally at peace. We would recommend Shug Shack to anyone who needs to get away from the “rush of life” & relax.

Booked 4 nights to house hunt in area. Shug's was exactly what we needed. Great location, close to many restaurants and bars. Owners were super attentive to any questions or needs. Next time I come down to Murrell's, Shugs Shack will be top of my list.

Very nice ground level space under the main dwelling. Location is short drive to Huntington Beach State Park, Huntington Sculpture Gardens, and local restaurants.

We had a wonderful trip. Property and host was exceptional. Shug was great to check on us and quick to respond. We traveled with a small pet and the location was great to walk and yard was fenced. We will definitely stay there again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Shug’s place. They provided everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable and the sofa in the living room area was also. Everything was very clean and neat and definitely decorated to my taste! There is lots to see and do in the area and lots of great restaurants nearby. Our trip was to explore and relax and we did just that… We would definitely stay here again!

Everything we needed was supplied, spacious and fenced in yard for our dog. Forgot our hair dryer and was supplied on minutes. Didn't need anything else, Everything was there. Will stay again!!

We totally enjoyed our stay at Shug’s Vacation Getaway. It is comfortable & full of beach-inspired art pieces ( most created by Cindy …Shug …herself!) . There is an inviting side porch with grill open to your use plus outside refrigerator for extra food & drinks. A free pass to Huntington Beach State Park is provided & we thoroughly enjoyed our visits to this historic site along with its beautiful beach. There are countless fantastic restaurants within walking distance and yet the neighborhood feels very safe - Check out the Marsh Walk! Shug is an artist- her one of a kind jewelry is amazing - check it out in her nearby shop. She is an exuberant, welcoming host! Dogs are welcome - you no doubt will hear the upstairs pups romping around above you so yours can have fun too!

This property is wonderful for our pups, they have even put up a fence. Convenient to dining, shopping and beaches. We had a great time. Thank you Shug and Mac for everything. Teri & Matt
