It's the little things...
Nicely decorated, comfortable beds
It's the little things. We decided to book a cabin with Condotel for my husband's birthday as a short getaway for the weekend. I called the morning of check-in to ask if we were able to check in early. The woman that answered the phone said that would be no problem, and that they'd leave our packet outside in the box, since their office was closed. Here is problem #1: We arrived around 2pm. It was very windy, and cold. I got out to grab our packet from the after hours check-in box, but it was nowhere to be found. I called the office and explained how our packet wasn't there and she said " Yes.....check-in isn't until 4pm so it won't be there." I explained how I called and asked and blah, blah, blah, and she said with a bit of an attitude "What's the name on the reservation?" I give it, and she says "Oh, you know what? That one is ready. I'll be right out with your packet." PROBLEM 2: We arrived at our cabin about 10 minutes later. It's begun to snow a little bit, and has definitely gotten colder. They give a packet with instructions and information that also provides a door code. That door code did not work. You're supposed to enter the door code, then hit the checkmark to open the deadbolt. We tried multiple times, to no avail. We called the office, again, and the woman was very confused. Kept on asking if we were doing it right and if we were at the right cabin. Instead of sending someone out to fix the issue, they gave us a different code that finally worked. PROBLEM 3: We started to prep dinner and were planning on grilling up some things really quick, but the propane was out. Had to call the front office, yet again, and have them bring us a new tank. PROBLEM 4: The heater bathroom randomly comes on and sounds like all of your childhood nightmares of the creepy sounds in the basement coming to life. It's unbelievably loud and vibrates uncontrollably.

Run from this place!!
RUN FROM THIS CABIN/MOTEL!!!! The cabin was not even heated for our arrival and it was 30 degrees, When we pointed this out to the staff, they couldnt figure out how to operated the heaters in the cabin. They brought 2 coil heaters to warm the cabin, it barely warmed up the cabin. We shivered all night. THEY DID NOT ALLOW US TO USE THE OUTSIDE FIREPLACE DUE TO FIREWATCH.
We told them one of our party has COVID and maybe we should not stay in the cabin. They told us no problem, you can still come! I just hope they sanatize the cabin properly for future guests, or lots of people will be getting COVID from this place! There is only one bathroom downstairs with 2 doors, jack and jill style. So one person at a time can only use the bathroom. The bedrooms are TINY, no place to even store your luggage. Would not recommend for a party of 4 adults. Other guests cars surrounding the cabin so as if you are in a parking lot. The small stream, is behind a barrier and a dirt road. Not worth your time and money to stay here.
