Located in the highly coveted historic Brinkerhoff district step back into time relax and enjoy in our landmark home. Graced with a covered street side porch this pedestrian friendly home offers a welcoming invitation to travelers. Upon entering our home you will be greeted with 10’ ceilings, a myriad of warm luminous sunlight that fills every room. Our home has been thoughtfully renewed with great attention to details. While respecting the historic roots of the home new modern conveniences have been introduced.
Our gourmet kitchen features Viking and subzero appliances, solid surface quartz countertops, ice maker, and is fully equipped with quality pans, pots, bakeware, bowls, serving dishes, cooking utensils, flatware and many more surprises for the cooking enthusiast. A coffee & Tea station that is equipped with a bean grinder, French press, cold brew carafe system, conventional coffeemaker, tea infuser as well as gourmet whole bean coffee and loose teas.
Our home offers on-site secure parking, has 2 bathrooms (no bath tubs), 3 private sunlit bedrooms with queen beds quality lines, warm soft blankets, two types of pillows (soft and firmer), feather duvets with throw blankets to insure a comfy stay. We also offer a queen soft bed for the unexpected guest. There is a professional washer and dryer and we include premium laundry soap, fabric softeners, dryer sheets, ironing board and iron and lint remover roll. The interior furnishings and color palette were professional designed by Restoration Hardware with comfort and transitional design elements.
The exterior space has layered landscape with magnolia, olive, and Australian bottle trees, strawberry fig, avocado, persimmon fruit trees are shared with our neighbors and hydrangea, boxwood, roses, and more help to finish off the historic landscape.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was beautiful and sparkling clean. Beds were comfy, as was the living room furniture. We enjoyed the covered front porch even in the rain (rare for Santa Barbara!). The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with coffee and tea and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

I own two STR's in other states and when I stay in SB...It will be in this home for sure. I could not find the HotTub when I was there but I didn't look that hard.

We went to celebrate my birthday, 3 couples. The house was convenient to everything- shops, restaurants, beach. The house itself was immaculate and plenty of space for 6 adults. The communication with our host was excellent, he made everything very easy. If we make it back to Santa Barbara we will definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect for us. It was close to restaurants, shops and the beach as well as serving as a staging area for several wine tasting trips. The house is beautifully appointed impeccably cared for and extremely clean. Michael has provided everything that you will need for your trip whether it be in the kitchen with Viking appliances or the technology embedded throughout the house. I highly recommend this home for your vacation.

I was in for a wedding with and couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Close to everything but on a quiet block this bungalow is beautifully appointed and clean. Michael was so accommodating and helpful. I couldn’t ask for more . It made my weekends for sure. Can’t wait to be back !!

My family and I spent the week between Christmas and new years at this wonderful house. What a surprising gem… well equipped-everything high end and immaculate. We felt very very comfortable there. Michael checked in with me several times to make sure we didn’t need anything and if we had any special requests… we really didn’t need a thing because everything was already in place. The house is located close to State street where we walked to Starbucks every morning and hung out at Joes cafe for several meals. Many thanks to the owner-we will definitely be back and highly recommend this wonderful home!!

We were a group of adults in town for concert at Santa Barbara Bowl. Such a cute place and so well equipped for walking to all the great restaurants and the Funk Zone.

We absolutely loved the ambiance of the Seaglass Bungalow. This house exceeded our expectations!!! The attention to detail did not go unnoticed… from the decor to the Aqua water at each bedside table. We actually didn’t want to leave the house to explore SB 🤣 Michael is the best host… he suggested The Palace restaurant which is walking distance. Our family had the best time! We will definitely stay here again!!!

Amazing accommodations

Best property in Santa Barbara
There are so many “best” things about this home. Michael and Kelly are great hosts and very responsive. Loved the gas grill and side patio. The front porch is great for morning coffee and we spent a lot of time out there. House is completely renovated with a great kitchen. You won’t be disappointed on every aspect. Easily walk to many restaurants and shops.

Lovely spot in SB
Our family had a wonderful time in SB. The house in lived up to the photos and descriptions of all the rooms. Each room also had fresh flowers! The Christmas tree added a nice touch to our stay. We really enjoyed the tea and coffee selection and the local wine. Check in and check out were easy and the property location is stellar.

Wonderful Experience
Wow this place was such a fantastic location. Clean. Well styled. Parking. In the heart of Santa Barbara. Well stocked (towels, robes, makeup wipes, tea, and more). We are more than happy with our stay and can really tell that Michael puts in a lot of work to keep this home at a standard of excellence for his guests. The communication between Michael and I was a simple text away. Our family/friends came in for a wedding from Tennessee and New York and was blown away by the Victorian style architecture and dark wood in the home. The furniture was intentionally purchased, nothing cheap. The chandelier was an eye catcher and the whole stay over all was a full 5 stars. It was so wonderful to experience the wedding coming from out of town and staying in a place like this. Highly recommend. Thank you Michael for a wonderful experience. Would love to come back in the future.

Amazing property in perfect location
This place could not have been any better. The house was beautiful just a few blocks from downtown Santa Barbara. We were able to Uber from the airport in less than 20 minutes and were greeted by the most comfortable beds to sleep in. The host was incredibly accommodating and provided great local recommendations. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Incredible experience
Michael was the perfect host. The home is beautifully renovated and decorated. Something you would expect to see in a designer magazine. Very comfortable with everything you would ever need for your stay. Near to some excellent shops and restaurants but it’s quiet and private. We will return in January.

Spectacular Home in Santa Barbara
Believe the reviews -- this home is unbelievable!
We (3 generations of family) are thrilled with our experience renting this home to celebrate our daughter's late-pandemic-era graduation from UC Santa Barbara.
This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is thoughtfully designed and immaculately maintained. Furnishings and decor are stately and elegant (reminding me of a Brooklyn brownstone), but also warm and welcoming. Everything, i.e., appliances and smart home technology like Alexa and Nest, looks and feels new and works well.
The location cannot be beat. We were just 2 blocks from State Street, so those of us who wanted to stretch our legs, go window shopping or do errands had easy access by foot or car to all that Santa Barbara has to offer, while others of us could sit on the front or back porch in the sun or shade reading all day long.
But maybe best of all, since traveling always involves being away from the comforts of home, Michael and Kelly did everything they possibly could to ensure our comfort. They accommodated our request for early check-in, had an iPad set up with ideas for places to eat and things to do, stocked all kitchen and bathroom items and left us numerous celebratory goodies. They were incredibly responsive both before and during our stay, eliminating all travel stress.
We would definitely stay in this home again and, if we had the option, would put Michael and Kelly in charge of all future VRBO's we stay at!

Best property ever
One of the best properties we have stayed at in the past 5 years. The house is perfectly positioned re walks to the beach and main street. The side garden is a lovely spot for relaxing, and the house is beautifully decorated. Perhaps what stood out the most though was all the little touches. Flowers on arrival, Valentine's Day package and wonderful finishes throughout. Would recommend without question.

Very comfortable and hard to leave
If you are deciding whether or not to book this property, I can highly recommend it without hesitation. We were lucky to stay here over Christmas break. The hosts made our stay extra special -- including a gorgeous tree with personalized, hand-painted ornaments as family keepsakes. This is a comfy and exceptional rental experience. A class act in every way. Also, in my husband's words, "Best shower ever."

Beautiful home, great location!
We have stayed in many vacation rentals, but this incredible, tasteful historic home exceeded our expectations on so many levels. It was the perfect house for a long weekend getaway to enjoy family. The location is great, a quick stroll to State Street and downtown, and a 6 block walk to the beach. The house is beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, luxurious linens and towels, and a brand new kitchen with top of the line appliances. Our hosts Michael and Kelly were extremely attentive and saw to our every need. I had mentioned that we would be cooking a special dinner while there, and was so pleasantly surprised to be greeted with wine, fresh fruit, stunning floral arrangements, and a beautifully set table!! It truly was a dream vacation for us and we will definitely be coming back to Sea Glass Bungalow.

I’ve been to Santa Barbara several times and stayed in many
VRBOs. This property was the best furnished of all! Four Seasons quality bedding, towels, and appliances. One block to State St makes it an easy walk to all the restaurants and attractions. We could not have been more pleased!
