The house and it’s location are truly something special. The town of Ocean Grove is quite unique and charming. So much to do and see within walking distance of this grand Victorian house.

Roomy & beautiful home. Porch was perfect. Cool breezes no matter the temperature. Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed this home. It has been taken care of with love. All this within walking distance to restaurants & shops. And the beach was right out the front door.

Great place to stay right on the beach. Beautiful historic house with a massive porch plenty of room for all the family and kids. Definitely recommend for a large family to enjoy a week at the beach .

My now wife (she said YES!) and I rented this beachfront mansion to host our wedding and reception in mid September 2018. The property and property manager could not have been better. The historic Victorian mansion is very well kept and was extremely spacious. There were 6+ bedrooms that comfortably fit all of our family and even some additional friends. The covered porch space is expansive and served as good cover from the sun as well as a good back-up plan if we had any inclement weather. Our original plan was to have our wedding ceremony on the beach, but we ended up doing it on the north end of the yard as it was more private and the logistics were easier. Nancy, the property manager, was great to work with and provided top notch service. It had rained the previous few days leading up to our ceremony and Nancy went the extra distance to have the property landscaped the day before the ceremony to ensure everything was PERFECT! I would highly recommend this property.

My wife and I were married at the Strandvue in late September. We stayed in the house with our wedding party for three nights and hosted all of the events there, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony/reception, and Sunday brunch. It's a very spacious home with stellar views of the beach and ocean. Our guests were amazed by the ambiance of the home, the architectural features, and decor. It was the perfect setting for a perfect wedding (FYI, less than 100 guests). Catered by Marilyn Slossbach in AP (shout out!). Nancy, the property manager, was helpful and communicative the entire way. We met twice at the house in the months before our wedding to do a walk-through. She was even honest about a particularly fussy neighbor, and so will I. If you're looking to have an event here, keep in mind it is Ocean Grove. Sound ordinance is strictly kept and there is a neighbor who will call it in (very early). Police did arrive and we were asked to be wrapped up by 10pm. And so we ended the dance party at 9:30 to keep the peace. All & all, this home was our dream for three days! And we highly recommend it.

My family spent almost two weeks at Strandvue and had a wonderful time being together under the same roof, however, there was so much deferred maintenance in this house that I wouldn't recommend it - especially for a family with small children.

Beautiful home with lots of living space, plenty of bedrooms and nice bathrooms. Located right across from the beach and just 2 blocks from town, so we walked everywhere. Perfect for our large family group. The host was very responsive to inquiries. We would definitely stay again.

A great place for a get together of family or friends. It is a lovely presentation but the property does need some work on the inside. The rooms could use some updating, but the bathrooms are lovely. Everything is kept very clean and the appliances are in good working order. The location is fantastic and our contact person was very easy and pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend it as long as you were not looking for a fancy bed-and-breakfast level furnishing.

My daughters bridal party used the Strandvue for the weekend of her wedding. The wedding was the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Nancy couldn't have been more accommodating. The girls were able to get in early Friday morning after Nancy was able to rearrange cleaning crew. She answered all our questions immediately. The house was clean. It was a wonderful experience and Nancy was great to deal with!

A thoroughly comfortable place to stay. The house is just as it appears in the photos. Manager was very responsive, although I can't say that we ran into any problems. This is no one's home, it is an income property, with the usual upsides (you don't have to worry about disarranging or mangling anyone's personal stuff ) and downsides of a house that no one actually lives in. A very comfortable place for a group holiday.

Boxes of flooring in the living room upon arrival.. Property manager traveling. My husband had to move the heavy boxes. Cleaning crew walked in with a key while we still had another night in the house. My daughter was alone and because it was three men it frightened her.

We loved the old historic house that just keeps on going. You feel like you are stepping back in time. You fall asleep to the waves at the beach across the street. It was a perfect pre-wedding location and makes for great pictures. Nancy who we coordinated with is excellent and lives really close. She was a pleasure to deal with. As a historic home no central air but the window units do the trick. Very special memories and great old charming town.

OK where do I start, from the exterior look at the Strandvue to the spacious front porch to the abundant room inside everything was just amazing! We had our engagement party here with over 70 people and even though there was plenty of space inside we chose to do it on the front porch. With the food drinks and dessert inside the front porch allowed us plenty of space for tables and chairs, it looked amazing. The weather was perfect and having the beach directly across the street with an amazing view was a highlight to everyone who attended. The manager Nancy was very helpful during the whole process. We are eagerly waiting to come back to the Strandvue for our rehearsal dinner!

This was the most perfect place to hold our wedding for 110 people. We had many family members from around the country stay with us and in the many surrounding bed and breakfasts. The house is made for absolute fun. The front porch alone could be the where you spend the entire time you are there. The house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. There are plenty of towels, soft sheets and coffee mugs! The manager Nancy is wonderful. She is very helpful and accomodating. Town is a short walk and the ocean is across the street. Made for a dreamy, funfilled week of celebration. We all loved it and look forward to the next time we are able to spend time there again!

Unbelievable home, lots of spacious rooms, extremely large covered front porch overlooking the ocean. The location is perfect for all occasions, walk to shops, beach, restaurants and night life. Home sits on a beautiful lot directly in front of the ocean and a gorgeous beach in an Historic Jersey shore community. Every activity you would want is steps away yet this home provides privacy and roominess for all. Perfect for family vacation, a wedding or event, or a weekend getaway to the shore. We loved it!

We spent a week at impressive Strandvue in early June. Our family loved it! Many extras with house [in addition to 4 full bathrooms and a powder room]: plenty of bath towels, beach towels, linens, a car booster seat, spices in the kitchen cabinets, numerous TV sets and three sets of tables and chairs on the huge front porch. Two new airbeds [plus several that tended to deflate during the night], and at least two sofas that could serve as a single bed. Master suite is accessed by a single door and includes a king bed in the main room [full bath en suite] with a double bed [and balcony] in a separate room off the main bedroom. Sun room and laundry room/powder room are also off the main bedroom of the master suite. Property manager Nancy was most helpful and gracious throughout the entire rental process. Stroll across the street to Ocean Grove beach, or go north on the boardwalk to Asbury Park or south to Bradley Beach - all an easy walk. Ocean Grove is a delightful Victorian town to explore on foot; shops and restaurants are about a block away from Strandvue. Chilly, windy weather did not affect our enjoyment - some people went into the water anyway - and the 2nd floor sun room and the first floor sun room [which adjoins the large dining room] allowed us to bask in sheltered comfort when we weren't outside. This was a splendid occasion and we are very happy we were able to secure a reservation at Strandvue.

In April 2015 I had a welcome home party for my son returning from the Navy, I had 125 guests attend the party, many from out of state & a few from over seas. It was a beautiful charming house that comfortably slept 20 guests. Every bedroom had a beautiful water view, clean sheets clean towels. A fully equipped kitchen. Very well maintained & cared for by a lovely Property Manager, Nancy. She was amazing & helpful with suggestions & recommendations, very knowledgeable of the area, things to do & places to eat. Although it was a huge house on the water it felt very cozy, warm & comfortable, The area very much reminded me of Martha's Vineyard with beautiful little unique shops & restaurants. I would highly rate & recommend this property and the Property Manager Nancy who helped me flawlessly plan a surprise welcome home party for my son.

My group of about 15 friends and spouses rented this amazing house for our 18th annual Euchre card tournament this September. Everybody raved about the house, the location, and the town. Also, the manager, Nancy, was a tremendous help both before and throughout or stay. First, the location is spectacular. Ocean Grove is a wonderful town with lots of charm, and the house sits right on the beach, directly across from the boardwalk, fronting an entire block. Probably the best location in town. It really is as good as it looks. I grew up in NJ and have been coming to various shore towns from Wildwood to Long Branch since I was a kid. Ocean Grove is special. And it's only an hour from Newark airport, which was great for our out of state people. Close for travelers, but it feels like another world from NYC, in the best possible way. Second, the house, while a bit quirky in the bed and bathroom department, is incredible. Best of all is the gigantic front porch. We spent as much time as possible here, in daylight hours and at night. The view is unbeatable and the atmosphere is wonderful. There is a grill and you can grill on one end of the deck without smoke bothering people on the other end. There are three large tables and chairs and we routinely sat a dozen people there with room to spare. The house is also HUGE and charming. A real antique, built in 1880 if I recall correctly. We slept 15 people without trouble, and during the days we didn't feel like we were on top of each other either. And staying in a place with so much evident personality was a real bonus. One caveat: The Master Bedroom has a railroad bedroom off of it (not counted in the 5 listed rooms--that would make it six) and these rooms share a private bath, which itself is divided into one bath with just a toilet and one with just a shower and sink. Slightly odd but not a big issue for us. In a house with six beds (not including 2 sofabeds and 2 air mattresses) and four bathrooms, the quirks weren't a problem, and were more part of the charm of this vintage house. Lastly, Nancy the manager was wonderful to deal with, answering our text-messaged questions and helping out with anything we needed. We had a package delivered to the house after we'd left and Nancy repacked and mailed it to us back home. Above and beyond the call of duty. Overall, the Strandview was a highlight of our 18 years of getting together. We definitely want to return.

The house which sits directly across the street from the beach is great. Good space for large get togethers. We had 24 eating dinner on Friday night without being crowded. Comfortable, relaxing, well maintained. Rental agent was accomadating and available when we had questions. This is a fabulous place to gather your 'whole' family for a summer celebration. House is accessible short walk to Asbury or Bradley Beach. One couple came by train to Asbury and walked over to the house. Plenty of nearby places to eat!

I recently had a family reunion at the Strandvue and it was terrific. The front porch alone was worth the rental. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and the beach is right across the street. The location is as good as it gets in Ocean Grove and the yard had beautiful landscaping. The kitchen accommodated big meals and there was plenty of seating at three big tables on the porch. It was a great place for families and we would definitely go back.
