Tell your friends you are roughing it in the mountains but we know you are living it up in luxury. This beautiful 4200 square foot custom built log home was completed Nov 2013. It offers four bedrooms and three and 1/2 baths. You'll walk in and say "Pinch Me." The kitchen and great room are to die for. HAS BOTH A KEURIG AND DRIP COFFEE MAKER. Sit in the great room and enjoy the views from either the windows overlooking the mountains or the flat screen TV with Direct TV's premium package. Enjoy the Golf channel, all of the ESPN channels, and many more. Enjoy relaxing on the deck and covered porch or a stroll through nature. Have the wonderful feeling of seclusion while only five minutes from Rumbling Bald Resort. (Please note this home does not include Resort passes.) This vacation will quickly become a family tradition!
NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS
First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 12 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.
DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. Contact your rental's property manager for offsite, overflow parking options. There is parking for 4 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.
ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.
MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.
NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.
LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.
Fishing: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.
Boating: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be accessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.
UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.
PETS: Pets are NOT ALLOWED in this home. If you are found to be in violation of this rule you will be required to vacate the property and forfeit the remainder of your stay. You will also be accessed a fine of $500 for the violation. No refunds will be given! Small pets will be considered on a case by case basis. Any pets that are pre-approved are required to be crated/caged/kenneled at night and anytime they are left alone on the property. Pet owners are expected to immediately clean up after their pet. Pre-approved pets require a $150.00, per pet, non-refundable pet fee.
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:
(including, but not limited to): bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 wash cloths per Tenant, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Tenant. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.
*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This is the second year coming to this breathtaking cabin. All the surrounding activities and when not out just being home is entertaining in itself . I’m always sad when the trip is over but have great memories to bring home with me .

The loaner refridgerator was 1/2 size and froze eggs and yougurts plus we had to buy cookers and ice because of limited space and poor temp control. A big inconvenience sonce we brought lots of food since stores so far away. only other minor thing is that bath on second floor would be perfect if toilet was in its own room. otherwise more utensils etc then we knew so we hauled a lot of unneeded stuff and will know better next visit. Beautiful view even saw bear.

We had such a great time at this cabin! It was perfect for two large families. It was a great property for the kids to run around on and explore. We made some great memories and would definitely stay again.

Large cabin with most needed amenities; since the power went out the night of our anniversary celebration dinner and there was no propane for the grill it was a little challenging but since my son is a chef he figured it out; propane tank was delivered but too late for the grill. We brought flashlights as suggested but house needs more on premise and perhaps a generator so toilets and water works; power did not return until the following morning at 5:30 am.

We absolutely loved this house and fully intend on booking it again in the future! First, the property is private and quiet, yet convenient to Lake Lure area. It has ample space and amenities to be able to fully relax, have fun and enjoy the beautiful Lake Lure area. The kitchen was amply stocked with supplies for cooking.
There were plenty of children items, such as a pack-n-play, making the stay with two infants very easy. The house is gorgeous - well appointed, decorated and comfortable. The property is well maintained and has a nice walking trail to the creek behind the house.
We had no complaints about the house, the property management or anything. It truly was great.
A note that is important: cell service (at least on Verizon) is nearly non-existent at the property. Wifi is available but was out for a good portion of our stay; I believe it was a service provider issue. Something important to note if reliable, consistent internet connection is needed during your stay.

Beautiful getaway
Was only able to spend 2 full days at this house, but we are already planning our next trip down. Beautiful log cabin house with an amazing view. Very secluded. Only about 15 minutes from the lake, which is one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever been on.

Lake Lure house
Positives:
- The home and property are amazingly beautiful. Clean, very comfortable beds, lots of open space.
Negatives:
- The location. I suggest the description be updated to clearly state how remotely located this house is. It's up a poorly marked dirt road and is 20+ minutes away from anything. The closest grocery store was 30 min away. We did not know this heading out, and it was tough arriving with kids and being so far from supplies.

Love this spot!
Had this spot for my wedding weekend and I can’t say enough! Loved every second of it. Only slight issue was only half the jets in the hot tub were working (that we could figure out). But the view was amazing.

great weekend getaway. A little difficult to find, because of spotty cell service but the office was very helpful. Once we got there wifi was great. Great space, great view, relaxing hot tub. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Place
Very nice cabin, Great location, for the time that we been there we didn't see any neighbors. There is a creek nearby that you can't see from the cabin but you can hear it, is not very hard to get to it. If you walk up the street you can also find a nice waterfall. Would definitely come back to the place.

Great Family Reunion location
You can see stars from the deck jacuzzi. Beautiful home with Chimney Rock nearby for hiking, playing in the creek, and tubing down the river.

Secluded beauty
The 'Pinch Me' property is just beautiful. This was the perfect getaway for family to meet in a safe and secluded area. The views off the back porch are breathtaking and relaxing in the hot tub with the mountains behind you was amazing. Plenty of room for three families, the kids loved the space to run around and play everywhere. They even made an epic sofa fort in the basement. The fire pit with stadium seating was great and the house came fully stocked with pots and pans and even some seasonings. Be sure to stock up on groceries you may need as the closest store is approximately 20 min away while access to Lake Lure is about 30 min. A wonderful place to stay that was quiet and relaxing, just what was needed during this turbulent time. Thank you!
