House in the woods

Clean and modern. Well laid out with comfortable beds. Nice that coffee and sugar are provided. Water tasted great.

Low water pressure. Mosquitoes. A step stool for looking at the dryer controls. Could use some games.

We highly recommend this wonderful place for a family to spend time together in Alaska.We loved it!!

The house is extra clean and neat. It appears to be almost new. The hosts have thought of just about anything a guest might need. Towels are beautiful. Love the washer/ dryer. Laundry detergent is provided. Basic kitchen supplies. Coffee, sugar & some cream. Big fans in the bedrooms are great for cooling and a little white noise for good sleep. Puzzles and cards. We would have loved to spend more time there. Entry is with a code. Hosts provided info we needed but we did not meet them. Easiest check in/ out ever.

Only problem was a large step up onto the front porch. Difficult for older people. There is a side patio entrance if others can unlock for the ones that need easier access.

The bed was too hard for my preference. I would have enjoyed a bed side lamp too.

Beds were okay but could have been a bit more comfortable. Everything was so nice but the beds not so much. Not enough pans to cook a big breakfast for 6 people. Only one pan and it wasn’t easy to cook with or clean.

Loved the home. It was nice and comfortable overall. Nice decor and beds were pretty good.

There is no AC and it got to 79 while there. We did open windows and use the fans they provided, but it was hotter than I usually sleep comfortably. Also the water pressure in the shower was very low.

Family of 5 were very comfortable after busy days for a restful night. Enough beds and bathrooms.

Well-designed and comfortable decor. As an Alaskan, this is was one of the best single-family vacation rentals. You will need a vehicle to visit "tourist" attractions. Simple amenities but very well done.

Some road traffic noise from Talkeetna Spur road which is about 100 meters from the back of the house.

Quite and Private

Wonderful home in the woods. It is off the beaten path but easy to find. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location is very quite and relaxing. A fire pit was available with a picnic table near it which was nice even though we didn't use it.

A Real Gem

This property is truly amazing! Spacious and roomy accommodations in a beautiful quiet setting surrounded by birch trees and lots of greenery! Classy decor with an eye for detail everywhere! All the amenities are here too. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again. It is a 10 out of 10 rating for us!
