About this house rental
Welcome to my home! This is a great home with lots of updates including an open floor plan with newer appliances. It is fully stocked with very nice linens, towels and mattresses. The kitchen has everything you need to make your favorite meal or just relax with a glass of wine. You can have a great cookout with the gas grill and eat outside on the deck. You can build a fire in the firepit this summer with wood provided and roast hotdogs and marshmallows with the kids. The shed has everything you need for a fun day at the lake including beach chairs, a beach wagon, multiple floating swim devices and cooler bags to pack a picnic lunch as well as chairs to sit around the fire pit. The back yard is fenced in entirely to keep your dog or children safe and to provide you with privacy. You are a mile from the lake and a quick bike ride or walk downtown to great shops and dining. Come enjoy! I'll do everything I can to make your stay great .

Our family of six was very comfortable in this well-appointed home. We took advantage of all the amenities including the grill, fire pit, storage unit full of beach toys, boardgames, and fully stocked kitchen. The house seemed recently updated and was tastefully decorated. The bedding was comfortable and even the bunk beds had quality mattresses.
The host provided a detailed welcome book to help us navigate all the features of the home and set clear expectations for check-out. We also enjoyed being able to walk to shopping and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Grand Haven!

The house was fully stocked with all you need, kitchen items, towels, sheets, blankets, and beach gear. Only a short walk to the downtown area and the boardwalk to the beach. Our sweet dogs loved the fenced in back yard too!

This is such an amazing upscale rental. The owner responds to messages within minutes.
Sooo many wonderful things are provided for you, everything you need for the beach, everything you need to cook a meal (even a rice cooker!!) blue tooth speaker, firewood, I could go on and on. Clean, comfortable beds and furniture, dining seating for 10 (and 10 more if you use outdoor deck!) such a quiet neighborhood and beautiful backyard, completely fenced and secure for pets!! Large driveway that we fit an SUV and another vehicle into easily.
We’ve already booked it again for fall!

Lovely, clean, completely updated house right downtown for a winter getaway. Everything we needed for our family of 5 - as well as a six month old lab puppy (which was such a privilege to be able to bring with us). Comfortable beds. So close to everything allowing us to walk wherever we needed, including daily morning walks to the pier. Seriously the only concern we had was the staircase - which is to be expected in an older home. People should know to bring slippers with a grippy sole as the stairwell is narrow, curved, and dark painted wood. They were concerning to navigate. If the house were mine, I would put some treads on the edges to prevent slipping. Besides that - everything was lovely and exactly as advertised. Thank you for a wonderful family stay.

Hello! We stayed here to celebrate my sister's bachelorette party in downtown Grand Haven. What a perfect weekend!
I was a bit worried having not been to Grand Haven in some time, so I very much relied on the description of the listing to make sure it was a good fit. The house was beautiful, well stocked, and close to everything! It truly was a night on the town. Thank you so much for the accommodations! Everything was well thought out.

We have so many positives to say about this home. It was perfect size, very clean and comfortable, easy to access, plenty of supplies available for use (including beach supplies/chairs/toys), a 5 minute walk to downtown, clear instructions, fully fenced in lot which was perfect for our dogs, with a nice backyard with firepit and plenty of seating.
It was really a great spot and the cleanliness and supplies made it a home away from home.
It was exactly as listed and explained and we had a great time.

This is our 3rd year we have stayed here and it doesn't disappoint. Plenty of room for me, my husband and our dog. The house is well appointed with a tons of amenities. Beds are super comfortable and everything is very clean. Big fenced in back yard with fire pit for lovely evenings. And it is only a few blocks from town so super convenient. Will definitely be returning!

The house was very clean, the towels and linens were very nice. The owners went to great lengths to add all of the things one might need while staying in this house, and while visiting the beach. The kitchen had literally everything I needed to cook with, but we chose to mostly eat out. Close to all the good shops and many great restaurants! We walked to the farmers market, just a few blocks away, and to the trolley stop that took us to the city beach. Our dog enjoyed the freedom of the fenced in yard and took walks each day on nearby trails and paved paths. We had a fire in the back yard fire pit, which everyone enjoyed. There was plenty of wood. All the appliances were newer, and in great shape. There were extra fans in the closets, but the house was nice and cool for a hot summer. We especially appreciated all the beach towels, made it easy for us to pack light.

A couple blocks from downtown. Walked to dinner/breakfast almost every day. Nice clean house. Great backyard. Nice fire pit although we didn’t use it. Nice touches by the owner all around the house…like wireless chargers on our nightstands, coffee - k-cups and drip, etc…just little things that made everything more comfortable and convenient. We will be booking for next year.
Only negative was the stairway was a little narrow when carrying suitcases upstairs. And the stairs were slippery for our little dogs…we had to carry them up and down the stairs! But it was fine, the house was really nice.

We and our dog really enjoyed the home. I wrote “home” because it has everything and is so clean and comfortable. Nice neighbor and neighborhood with contactless check in. The deck, grill and yard were perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed for a couple meals. Dishwasher, stove and fridge we high end. We hope to be back. Melinda was lightning quick to answer a couple questions. She’s the best.

Us and our grown kids with their significant others stayed here for a long weekend. Melinda was the best with communication! The VRBO app wasn’t working so well and couldn’t access the info. Had to call her and she answered right away and helped us get in to the house. The house is beautiful and was located at a perfect location for us! We had a great weekend with family and will for sure rent again! Thank you for everything Melinda!

Perfect for a family vacation. Short walk to the lake and the downtown social district. Very nice backyard Only caveat the staircase to the second floor is steep. Would not be a good house for a person with limited mobility because all bedrooms are on the second floor

The house offered everything you could possibly imagine for a vacation, the owner supplied everything from all cooking items you could ever want, to beach towels, chairs, floaties, etc. The owner checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Fabulous time was had by all!

Totally enjoyed our stay at this property. Found it be just as advertised! Loved the backyard with the deck and seating for 8 at the table. The dog loved the fenced yard too. Well stocked shed with tons of beach and yard items!
The house had many nice touches and appreciate that there was no shortage of dish soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, soap, etc. loved the big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each bathroom as well. Beds and pillows were comfortable!

Friends Getaway
We were pretty excited about this place based on reviews and it did not disappoint! We came to Grand Haven for our annual friends weekend; there was four adults and four kids. The size was perfect. The house was perfect. The location was perfect. Absolutely everything you need has been thought of and made available to you by owner! It made for an awesome trip and we intend on returning if available in a few years! We are very lucky to have found this place.
