About this cottage rental
This is a very special property that was built in the 1950's. The entire cottage has been updated while still keeping the original charm of a special getaway. A winding wooded driveway, which ends at the cottage, giving complete privacy from the street. Enter the cottage into a great room which is surrounded by windows and sliding doors giving a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence River. The kitchen recently renovated, has a full size refrigerator, conventional oven and an island all facing the open living and dining areas. A beautiful stone fireplace with a gas insert will add to the ambiance and keep it warm on cool nights. There is a large Smart TV in front of two comfortable leather couches. The cottage has 2 bedrooms on the main floor with an adorable loft above. The Master bedroom has it own 1/2 bath, Smart TV and a queen size bed that is facing the River. The cozy second bedroom has two twin beds. The loft features a pull down ladder for easy access to a charming area that easily sleeps two. The new washer / dryer are conveniently located in their own laundry room. Wake up to the sunrise while sitting on the spacious deck that feels like it is on top of the water. Enjoy the international ships that pass so close you feel like you could touch them. A St. Lawrence granite fire place is located at the waters edge with a picnic table, Adirondack chairs and a beautiful view of the 1000 Island Bridge.

We arrived to a clean and inviting home. Carlos and Susan decorated the place perfectly and left goodies such as a bottle of wine and cheese to enjoy. The views were spectacular. This vacation spot can be a calm getaway away from the hustle and bustle or busy with little day trips. Carlos checked on us and was extremely accommodating. We will book again.

I visited this property with my family which included a 73 year old mother, and 2 kids aged 8 and 11. Overall I can’t say enough positive things about this cottage. Susan and Carlos have thought of everything! The cottage was cleaner than clean. All of the amenities felt brand new! Beds were super comfortable and the view from every location of the cottage was amazing! While this is by no means a criticism but what would make this cottage over the top would be a longer dock to get out past the rocks in the water. It was difficult for us to swim. However I must reiterate that I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks again Carlos and Susan for making our trip a very memorable one. Ken

There is a sense of calm as soon as you walk in the door. Sit on the deck that has a very wide view of the river! Watch the ships as they glide passed you so close and quietly. This was my 3rd visit & can't say enough about the property or Susan and Carlos!!

I have never stayed in a home that was so clean and well appointed. Perfect home for the 4 of us. The owners have everything you can imagine available at the home.
The ships are so close that you can wave to them. Being in the narrows you see and enjoy everything going on, on the river.
We enjoyed walks on the island and mainly lived on the deck.
The owners made sure everything was perfect for our stay. If we had a question they responded quickly. They love their little slice of heaven and it shows!

We had a wonderful week at this beautifully renovated Wellesley Island cottage. The views of the river were breathtaking and could be enjoyed from large windows inside the cottage as well as a variety of comfortable sitting areas outside. The nautical/americana style decorating was well thought out and added to the comfortable, homey feel. Carlos was so friendly and accommodating and took great care to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. This lovely cottage right on the water is just a little piece of heaven! Sitting in the rocking chairs watching the ships and boats go by, which are close enough you feel you can touch them, is a relaxing way to pass the day. The interior is beautifully decorated and the hosts have thought of everything. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming from the dock. This is our favorite rental on the river!

If you are looking for a beautiful River experience, look no further!! We love the picturesque views, the peaceful location, comfortable updated interior, the thoughtful details and amenities that the hosts provides, outdoor seating for all views!! It is located on a ledge so there is no gradual grade to the water; however there is a swimming platform and safe levels to swim and stay cool on a hot Summer day. Pets are allowed but if you have dogs that love the water, it may not be possible for them to swim at this location. But plenty of area to go for walks!! :))

The cottage is adorable! The most important things to us are cleanliness and comfort, and this property was a winner on both counts. It was the best stocked property I have ever rented. Everything was in excellent condition. There were so many thoughtful items provided in case we may have forgotten anything. I contacted Carlos a couple of times and he answered promptly each time. We spent a good deal of time on the deck watching the ships . It was a lovely and relaxing vacation.

Amazing cottage
This is an amazing property. The owner has tended to all details. Such thoughtful touches….from s’mores ingredients, cheese and crackers, and even a bottle of St Lawrence wine on arrival. The house was meticulously clean. The outside setting is beautiful with comfortable furniture on the deck, Adirondack chairs overlooking the River, and a great swimming dock . I have rented places at the River for 19 years, and this cottage was clearly the best that I have stayed at.
I hope to return in the future.

We had a great time here! The house is lovely and Susan and Carlos were wonderful hosts. They were available to answer all our questions and gave us some great ideas of things to do during our stay. You will have everything you need to have an enjoyable time. We have stayed at other places where you pretty much have to bring along your entire kitchen if you intend to do any cooking. Their kitchen had everything we needed. I can verify all of the positive 5 star reviews. Not to mention that Thousand Islands is a truly unique and special place in itself. We did the usual sightseeing, bike rides, and walks, but just sitting on the deck and watching the ships go by was the most enjoyable part. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

We loved staying at the cottage. Perfect location right on the river. We spent more time at this cottage than at any other rental in TI, watching the boats, sitting on the dock, outdoor meals on the deck, cooking, enjoying the wonderfully furnished home. Easy to get to other areas with a short drive. Susan and Carlos are excellent hosts. They are very attentive, and paid special attention to making their guests incredibly comfortable. I can't say enough positive things about them. My husband said something I never heard him say on vacation..."I'm going to miss this..." Best stay ever!

Immaculate cottage
Walking through the door, I was blown away not only by the cleanliness of the cottage, but the upscale decor and thoughtfulness of the owners. They left us a care package of the most delicious cheese and wine and s’mores for the kids. There was also a basket of travel size toiletries in case we forgot or needed anything. The location was to die for too. Literally on the River, my husband fished every day off the small dock and my kids waded in the shallow cove (though the water was freezing 🥶). Lots of outdoor seating areas to choose from to watch the ships pass. This was the best rental home we’ve ever stayed at and Susan was the most accommodating and considerate host!

Lovely Cottage
This cottage has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. It was immaculate, furnished with The River vibe, and if you happen to forget something (cell phone charger, cable to connect said charger to phone, toothpaste, deodorant, etc) Susan and Carlos have saved you a last minute trip to the store. The view of the channel is unparalleled. You really get to see the ships going by up close. There is a new bbq grill and plenty of seating, and tables, all around the property. The cottage has been updated with attention to every detail. We loved our week’s stay…just wish it could have been longer! Next year.

Picture perfect
By far our best VRBO vacation ever! Both the views and the house did not disappoint. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We didn’t want for anything. We spent some time playing golf and tennis but mostly relaxed enjoying the view and house. When we had a question the owners were quick to respond and were so friendly and accommodating. We loved everything about it
I consider myself well traveled. I stayed at different types of properties all over the world. Including high end hotels. With that said, the cleanness of this property is well within the top 5 on my list. The owners are very nice and thoughtful. We can just tell from all the details within the house that the owners truly consider us as the guests instead of the tenants. All the cook wares are in great condition, every sink had hand soap next to it, there’s plenty of pillows and blankets and they’re all spectacularly clean. The fridge is spotless. Bathroom bad travel size toiletries in it, and plenty enough towels. Not to mention the location is convenient. We love every minute of our vacation all because of this great house.
