Neighborhood Description
Key Largo Kampground is conveniently located a few blocks away from a shopping plaza with Publix Supermarket, walk-in clinic, public library and numerous specialty shops and restaurants.
Key Largo is the first of the fabulous Florida Keys and is the self-proclaimed Dive Capital of the World.
It is home to the world's largest artificial reef, the 510-foot USS Spiegel Grove, the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and the African Queen.
Everglades National Park is just a short trip away from Key Largo.
Diving, snorkeling and glass-bottom boating in the clear waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary are fantastic experiences.
Watersport activities in Key Largo are plentiful, including fishing, kayaking and swimming with the dolphins.
Or, just relax with a tropical beverage and watch the beautiful sunsets in one of the many restaurants and bars in the area.
Key Largo, like many of the islands in the Florida Keys, is not known for its beaches. Its water is shallow, the result of a 221-mile-long coral reef system that extends from Miami to the Dry Tortugas National Park near Key West. However, there are several man-made beaches that skirt waters teeming with tropical fish.
Key Largo Kampground and Marina
There are 2 small quite beaches inside the gated community where the property is located.
Far Beach
Located at mile marker 120 inside John PenneKamp Coral Reef State Park, two sandy beaches are open to the public for a fee. The first is called Far Beach. This palm-lined, man-made sandy beach attracts sunbathers and beachcombers. The water is calm, warm and shallow, making it a good swimming spot, especially for children. A portable rollout mat called the Mobi-Mat is installed across the sand, providing wheelchair accessibility.
Cannon Beach
Located beside the fishing pier in Largo Sound is Cannon Beach, famous for its 17th century cannon mounted right on the sand, as well as remnants from a Spanish shipwreck planted in the water. Like Far Beach, Cannon Beach is man-made, but with its abundance of sealife and tropical fish, including tarpon and barracuda, the site is used frequently for snorkeling. No more than 100 feet from shore snorkelers can view the barnacle-encrusted ship’s cannons and an ancient iron anchor, among other artifacts.
Harry Harris and Founders
The closest beaches to Key Largo outside of John PenneKamp Coral Reef State Park are a few miles south. Harry Harris Park is at mile marker 93 between Key Largo and Islamorada. The park features a small sandy beach with a roped-off swimming area, children’s playground, boat ramp, picnic tables and restrooms. The Harry Harris Park beach is open to the public, and admission is free on weekdays. Farther south, close to mile marker 87, Founders Park offers family fun with a beach, skate park, baseball fields, and an olympic pool with a shallow section. Other amenities include picnic tables and restrooms.
Anne's Beach
Anne's Beach is at mile marker 73 in Islamorada. Named for environmentalist Anne Eaton, the beach features a shallow swimming area, covered picnic tables and a quarter-mile-long wooden boardwalk connecting two small parking lots. The areas around the parking lots can be crowded, but five covered picnic pavilions farther down the boardwalk offer a bit more seclusion. Anne’s Beach fronts the Atlantic Ocean, but because of the shallow water there are gentle currents and few waves.

The place was great! Perfect for a guys trip. We were able to walk out every morning and fish from the back dock! Would definitely stay here again.

I loved the fact that we had our own dock and how close everything was. The place was tidy. It was small as advertised but it was cozy. I loved that the boat ramp and wash down were right there as well. Some of the tirns were tight. Ut i would definitely

The property was very clean, the people within the community were nice, and we had no complaints throughout the weekend.

We went to Key Largo Kamp Ground with myself, husband, son, and granddaughter.
Great stay. Very very clean.
Small but ok for us.
Upstairs lift very low ceiling so beware.
The dock and patio could be better. Needs upgrade as the wood is splintering so be careful.
Nails on dock coming up and I tripped a couple times.
Sunsets are beautiful as the sunrises.
Coffee in the morning on the dock is so peaceful.
Pool area very clean and great for my 5 year old granddaughter.
Again, great for 3 people but not 4. Small interior but outside great.
Thank you.

Myself, husband and 16 year old son took a Florida roadtrip that included the keys. We all agreed that this particular stay was our most favourite. Upon arrival, we were wowed by the beautiful location of the tiny home. My son loved his loft room which was very cool and gave him privacy. We all loved the outside space overlooking the marina with the tiki hut to relax under - prime location spot indeed. This place is a little piece of heaven and would most highly recommend. The only disappointment was that we didn't see any manatees as some previous reviews had said they had seen.
8.0
The tiny house was clean and in a great location. We watched manatee from the dock.
A couple things to consider it is a tiny house, so for us shorter in stature people it was wonderful but for my 6’3” son-in-law it would have been a struggle. Also, pay attention to the limited check in time. If your flight is late you could be looking for alternative accommodations at the last minute.

This property was a nice end to our Florida Keys vacation. Spent the last two days here and spent a lot of time just relaxing on the dock watching the manatees. Clean and comfortable little house with an amazing view.

The property was just like the pictures.
Very clean. All instructions were available easily

Only stayed one night preceding a fishing charter but it was great!

We were amazed by the house and the minimalistic approach to building tiny homes. Extremely well engineered house. Great amenities. Perfect location. The kayaks were a great touch - we went kayaking everyday. We saw Manatees right outside the house in the waters, plenty of fish. Everyone in the family enjoyed the stay! Highly recommended!

This was a great location for our stay. We brought our boat which was docked right outside our place. We just walked out hopped on the boat and we’re snorkeling in the most beautiful water in no time at all. We loved the tiny house too!

This was our 2nd time staying in the tiny house at KLK. We love it here! Boat slip is convenient, neighborhood is quiet, staff is friendly, house is clean, perfect location, and host is responsive. Thank you for another great stay!

We enjoyed our stay in the tiny house. We are a family of four, plus grandma. Children ages 11 and 7. My son enjoyed fishing off the dock and a manatee came into the canal while we were there.
About the house: there are 1.5 baths, not 2. Stairs are steep and I didn't want my mother-in-law going up and down them. So, she took the downstairs master bedroom. Husband, children and I took the loft, which as two queen size beds (at least I think they're both queens). You cannot stand up in the loft.
The bathrooms are a tight squeeze, and we aren't big people.

I was impressed by the cleanness and organization inside of this tiny house. We were able to do it all and loved the view!. Thank you!

Great place for the kids! Pool, dock right outside the door, kayaks. Overall it’s great for a little getaway.
8.0
I really liked the tiny house. As long as you understand it’s a tiny house so the shower is small and the second floor has very low ceilings.
2nd floor would be awesome for kids. Overall, will definitely be back

Loved the little house!! We had an amazing time wish we could have stayed longer!!!
8.0
The GOOD: The location is AMAZING. With the exception of sleeping, we spent all of our time sitting on the dock and the tiki hut space having lots of discussions about how we could buy this place and retire here! We stayed here with our two teenage sons. One of my boys strung his hammock under the tiki hut and enjoyed sleeping by the water for a few nights.
Note - the tiny house is part of a campground community. There is everything from huge RVs, to permanent campers, to tiny houses, to tents. It had a really nice, friendly, laid-back vibe. There is a pool, shuffle board, and sand volleyball court - just some fun extras. The tiny house has kayaks and life vests to use - awesome to take an early morning paddle. You can walk to a Publix 1/2 mile away - seriously ideal location. (And try out the Cuban restaurant next to Publix - really good!)
The not-so-good: We spent our first two nights there with NO HOT WATER. We had to use the campground showers. Catalina (owner?) told me she was calling a plumber - never hear back from her. Barbara (manager?) told me she would check with the campground and get back to me. Didn't hear back until a day later. She told us there was a little switch in the far corner of the kitchen that sometimes gets accidentally switched off. We found the switch behind the toaster. Really frustrating that between two different people no one could tell us that sooner. Also, FYI - there is no blender even though it's on the list of amenities.

My daughter and I came for Spring Break and the house had all amenities to make for a comfortable stay. There is a grocery store very close to the entrance of the park so it was easy to get groceries and cook at the house. The kayaks were our favorite pastime and there is so much waterway to explore. The owners were lovely, communicative and informative. Thank you, Barbara and Victor, for such a lovely stay!
10.0
This was a perfect spot for our family. It was so nice to hop out of bed and right onto our boat. The kids loved the loft bedroom and the pool was as great. We would definitely stay again in the future.
4.0
House was clean.
Spent 45 minutes trying to put AC on, contacted owner, owner said - oh, sorry, it doesn't work. One AC in loft worked. Lucky it was February.
Dock had DO NOT ENTER Tape criss -crossed across it. Holes in dock where people had fallen through. Again, this was like this way before we got there!
Owner new about all of these problems prior to our arrival. Hope they are not still renting to unsuspecting visitors.
8.0
Really great place to stay with the exception of the owner is in the process of updating the dock and there is a dispute between the campground and owner as to whether you can use it. Campground advised the dock has been an issue for a while now. Owner advised they are in the application process for an new dock. Either way renters are in the middle and the caution tape on the dock disrupts the view, which is a selling point.
The home itself was awesome and was located close to great places to eat and the grocery store. Pool was great. Campground was clean and safe.
8.0
Although there were issues with the AC unit, and some supplies that were missing, the host was very communicative about them and corrected the supplies. The main AC needed a part, so we had to use the upstairs AC to cool the unit. It all worked out fine. This is as advertised as it is a little house. Probably best for just 2 adults. The location was great as the pool was right across the street. We didn't use the slip as we didn't have a boat.
8.0
The view in the listing is exactly what you get. Really Fl Keys-esque. We were outside on the patio much of the time. It is a ‘tiny’ house but the living areas, kitchen, main bath are reasonably spacious and comfortable given the listing. Master bath is tight and the attached powder room is truly tiny. The “beach” is not really a beach. Generally well located, clean and accurate description. We had a lady walk into the outdoor patio and enjoyed the view and glanced into our unit. Didn’t feel unsafe just odd. Good comm w property mgr and responsive owner.

This tiny home was everything we hoped for. Spacious, great lay out, and very clean. It looked as beautiful as the pictures. The property is spectacular. Literally sits on the best lot the campground has. A beautiful open view of the water and marina. Had a great time using the kayaks and also cooked a great meal using the charcoal grill that is on the property. The pool is also right across the street from the home. Couldn’t have been more perfect. My boyfriend and I are already looking ahead to book this tiny home again. 5 stars across the board!

We stayed as a couple on a tour of Florida so only stayed two nights at short notice but it was just as described. We didn’t use any of the campsite facility’s. We did use the kayaked and to be able to explore was fantastic. Very well kitted out to cook also. Very happy indeed.

Very nice, it was great to have the boat in the water right at our sight.

We really enjoyed the campground it was super family oriented and safe. We also loved the location of the tiny home. Highly recommend!

We spent 4 wonderful nights here last week. Property is exactly as listed and pictures actually make it look a little smaller I think! A full size fridge was unexpected but so handy.
We were a family of 4 and my kids 18/10yr old absolutely loved the mezzanine space and having 2 doubles up there was perfect for sleeping and chilling out!
The marina outside is gorgeous and decking area is super relaxing. We even had 3 manatees swimming around during our stay. The pool is literally behind the property along with the other sporting facilities.
We will be back and will def stay here -
it’s gorgeous !

We stayed in this tiny home with three teens and two adults. There was a lot to do on the property at no extra cost including kayaks, pool, basketball court, and small beach. There isn't great snorkeling at the beach area but we did get in and look around. The view from the deck was second-to-none. I sat in a chair and stared at the view for hours. While this is a tiny home and it was close quarters, the space was big enough for all of us to move around and have our own areas to lounge. Plus we spent most of our time outside and that helped. I would love to stay here again and will definitely check for availability on our next trip to the Keys. PLUS-all 3 of the teens had fun and sometimes teens can be difficult to please!
