Great view, Nice hosts but poor facilities

Great hosts friendly and helpful Super nice view Good homemade breakfast and dinner

Despite being aware of the lack of air conditioning in the room during the booking process, the stifling heat and humidity (reaching 35 degrees Celsius) made it impossible to sleep, prompting us to leave on the second night despite having paid for a three-night stay. Cleanliness fell below expectations Beds are noticeably old and worn down Towels and floor mats in bathroom are also noticeably old Both the room and bathroom appeared outdated

Beautiful views and property. We thought we arrived in paradise, however this is very much the story of the beauty and the beast

Communication is a virtue that avoids some. We pre-arranged dinner with the host the day before arrival, as we wanted to have a relaxing evening on the terrace, only to find out on the day of arrival that it was cancelled. We were recommended to drive to the nearest town 20mins away to get food (terrible for driving in complete darkness), which we did. We stumbled across a fantastic local concert and so came back to the property at 23:50 What awaited us, can only be described as a distinctly grumpy grandad/the owner. “This isn’t Phuket, this isn’t Patong, why are you home so late?” As paying customers who were never informed that we were supposed to be “home” at a certain time, this was an unwelcome and honestly very rude surprise. We left swiftly in the morning, avoiding breakfast and any further contact with the unwelcoming hosts

Eines unserer besten Quartiere und mit Abstand da beste Essen!

Großes Zimmer mit herrlicher Aussicht. Günstig gelegen zu Stausee (40min) und zum Nationalpark (18 min). Bamboo rafting 2 min. Und die absolut beste Küche, die wir in Thailand kennengelernt haben! Sehr familiäre Unterkunft mit nur 3 Gästezimmern. Versäumen sie nicht, sich von Pierre in sein Kräuterlaboratorium einführen zu lassen. Auch wenn es sehr heiß war (37*), haben wir einen Air Conditioner nicht vermisst.

При въезде было невероятное количество ос на улице и в номере, в номере их сразу же потравили, но риски ужаления были высокие.

Don’t miss it!

Staying at this house was an unforgettable experience. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, a balcony view was spectacular! And general atmosphere. It was like we were at home. Host organized wonderful bamboo rafting for us and gave helpful advises about Khao Sok boat trip. This house is located on a hill so you have a look a the mountains around. The place is dark at night and is perfect for stargazing

There are 2 retrievers living in the house. Keep that in mind if you are allergic

Amazing location with the best host you can ever have

The location is amazing, the view over the jungle and the mountains is incomparable. Chompunut is the most friendly and amazing host we ever had. She is so kind and helpful with all her guests and attends personally to all the matters. She even helped us save money by organizing a taxi for us to our next destination. I can’t recommend enough, if you plan on visiting Khao Sok, you have to go to Billion Views.

We didn’t want to leave

We absolutely loved Billion Views - the location takes your breath away. It’s a beautiful house and we had some great food, a lot of which was organic and grown at the homestay. Chompunut made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. She organised some fab days out - saw lots of monkeys bamboo rafting and bathed elephants in the sanctuary . Thankfully she was able to arrange our taxi when we were let down on the morning of departure. We made some new friends and the dogs were great fun too! We look forward to visiting again one day.

No complaints from us.

Un endroit lugubre, à éviter! Nous sommes partis dans un autre logement dès que nous avons pu.

Le 'chalet' est en pleine nature. Le 1er dîner avec les rouleaux de printemps était très bon. Par contre, le 2ème dîner était nettement moins bon. Et on a appris le lendemain matin que il n'y avait aucun dîner de prévu le soir!

- Les cloisons qui séparaient nos 2 chambres n'étaient pas complètes jusqu'en haut : pas d'insonorisation entre les 2. - Les lits étaient insalubres (odeur d'urine) - Deux gros chiens montent la garde et vous suivent jusque sous la table.

Beautiful location, awesome staff and food, great facilities and optional activities.

The fact we only booked for one night, but that was our fault. We will definitely come back!

Schöne Unterkunft in guter Lage

Die Lage auf dem Berg war toll, eine super Aussicht von der riesigen Terasse. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die zwei Haushunde haben viel Spaß gemacht.

Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die Insektenschutzgitter waren sehr stark verschmutzt. Es wurde leider kein Transfer bei der Ankunft angeboten, wir waren gezwungen absolut überhöhte Kosten, für den Weg vom Bus zur Unterkunft zu bezahlen. Den Transfer bei der Abreise zum Flughafen lies sich der Hausherr gut bezahlen.

Wonderful!

Great hosts, location, food and views. The house is wonderful and comes with two cute dogs. When you arrive they can arrange any activity for you. Would highly recommend this place to anyone! It’s a place we will remember for a very long time. Thanks for the amazing time!

Wat een geweldig uitzicht.

Je gaat naar deze locatie voor het geweldige uitzicht. Net een schilderij. De gastvrouw is erg vriendelijk en kan heerlijk koken. In de buur een bamboe vlot tocht gedaan. Leuk, maar voor tasje begrippen vrij prijzig

Hygiëne kan beter. Kamers zijn verouderd. De accommodatie kan een upgrade gebruiken. Hele lieve nog jonge honden. Maar ze zijn niet zindelijk en doen hun behoefte op plaatsen wat niet zou horen.

Beste Homestay in de wereld

Beste homestay waar we ooit geweest zijn. Eigenaresse is zo vriendelijk en neemt zich zoveel moeite voor ons. Prachtige omgeving. Prachtig onderkomen. Super vergezichten vanuit het onderkomen. Een 10 is eigenlijk te weinig om te geven. Zou een dikke 12 moeten zijn.

Niets, zou iets schoner kunnen zijn... Maar wie stoft er thuis iedere dag. De pro's zijn duizenden malen groter dan een minnetje.

We loved our stay at Billion views! It was very relaxing! The host was amazing and shared with us so much! She was so kind! She taught us some cooking lesson, showed us around, took and dropped us … You can feel at home there! The view was spectacular in the day and night! Spectacular Views and All the Comforts of Home!

Billion Views certainly lives up to its name - we really can't emphasise enough how spectacular the views are from just about every angle. A particular treat was waking up on our first morning and seeing the thick mist slowly rise as the sun rose, and all the spectacular mountains come into view. Chompunut is the consumate host, and is willing to share her recommendations for exploring the area (including some great hot springs about an hour away) and also arranged for us a great day-trip to the nearby National Park. We enjoyed her delicious home cooking for both breakfast and dinner, and she was kind enough to share some Thai cooking techniques before dinner in the form of a mini-lesson, which was very sweet (and informative). We felt sad to leave such a fantastic place, and the sheer majesty (and peace and quiet) of this location will remain with us for a long time.

Truly amazing homestay in the middle of the mountains

Chompunut and Pierre made us feel at home in this amazing secluded spot of paradise in the mountains. The views are wonderful, the surroundings and sounds really confirm you are in the jungle. On top of all that, Chompunut even shared some of her Thai cooking experience with us. We had a wonderful stay with nothing left to be desired - thank you!

We hope Manao finds his way back home :-(

Highly recommended. We stayed for 4 days, had two tasteful dinners and always a good breakfast. The house is amazing! We sat on the terrace every evening to listen to the sound of the jungle. Birds, monkeys and yes, wild elephants! Both hosts were very friendly and helpful, thank you very much for that!

Beautiful place and lovely hosts

Nut and Pierre are welcoming you in their beautiful home in the jungle and you just wish time could be stopped. Lovely people and you really feel as welcomed and taken care of by family. The view all around is breathtaking, pictures simply cannot do justice. We had all the comfort we could have wished for during our stay and particularly loved having mosquito nets on the terrace door/ windows so we could listen to the jungle sounds all night. Nut was helping us with organising an amazing raft tour and we also participated in her famous cooking class learning how to cook several traditional dishes. She also showed us how to decorate with edible flowers and we really enjoyed bird watching together from her terrace. And Manao, the family's labrador, makes you smile every time, he is adorable and joyful, and also guarded us all night sleeping in front of our room. We loved our stay, had an amazing time and would love to return some day. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality!

We had a little 'jungle in the room' experience (not surprising if you are staying in the jungle) but Pierre helped us and took care of it.

Extraordinary experience of the Hacienda on the hill with the view of the Jungle.

Fantastic area of Khao Sok National Park and primal Jungle were we could experience to have a short trekking with Pierre, the guide and the owner of the property. On top of that fantastic Thai dinner prepared by his wife!
