The right choice for budget travellers

- Very close to the main road, but not right on it, which helps a bit - The dining room has got anything you may need to cook yourself a meal - The bed was alright, and plugs were easily accessible - You can always find a seat in the common areas - You share your shower room with 3 people at most

- The large green light that was constantly on in the dorm room during the night - The shower cabin is quite cramped - The sight from my room was the roof combined with the parking lot of the pub on the main road, hardly remarkable

Unethical,unprofessional,rude host,left me in middle of such a cold night,she couldn't even wait for 10 minutes,phone even switched off before check in time. She didn't accept any responsibility but cancel booking & refused to refund,what a ripp off,,,, she got money & not provided service. Don't know anything about humanity but their so called rules. Definitely will not recommend,will report to trading standards.

Ok for one night

I stayed one night in the shared room, ok for one night, good you can prepare food in the kitchen.

Snorting and farting people in the doorm room. Disgusting and such people should not share room with other people.

Strong wifi and good location

Felt very uncomfortable and unsafe as a solo female traveller, this hostel has an all male team who were quite intimidating. Outdoor toilets and showers. The whole place is really unclean with lots of bugs and the dorm has a window (without a curtain) that doesn’t open so smells very stale and is very warm. No lockers. Staff members smoke so it also smells like cigarettes and weed throughout the property. The continental breakfast is some tiny sweet croissants individually wrapped in plastic. Not even basic toast and cereal provided.

Very cute hostel in a beautiful village

This hostel was really cute! The staff was so friendly, they helped me a lot and I liked the nice old building so much. Cozy common areas, like a living room, a roofed outdoor area, a kitchen.. everything colourful and cozy and with carpets and couches everywhere.. I stayed in a 10 bed dorm but it was huge so the beds were not too close to each other and I liked that mine had a little curtain for privacy (anyway there was only one other guest with me in the room that night). The toilets and showers are outdoors but clean and good hot water. I had only one night there but I would have happily stayed longer!

I slept like I was dead

They were super nice so that I was really sad that I had such limited time in Tintagel! They even have a piano for everyone to play, a TV room with Netflix, a great kitchen and outdoor as well as indoor showers. The beds were super comfortable and I slept like I was dead.

John was very friendly & helpful & gave us some good recommendations for eating in the town & beautiful coastal walks. Excellent location of hostel

Unfortunately there were either staff or other guests speaking loudly & playing music in the outdoor area which was very noisy & disruptive to our room & sleep at night. There was also a green light overhead in our room that was very distracting for sleeping.

Lovely people and a great place to stay :)

It felt like a family, nice people and great host! The shared kitchen was well equipped and even lots of common food we could use for cooking.

The green exit light in the dorm was directly over the bed.

John the host is so friendly and helpful and made me feel at home straight away. He also had great recommendations around the local area and for my further traveling. I would go back and stay there again without a hesitation.

Friendly Near Castle, Great for walking

COLD ! Had to sleep in jumpers and wooly hats coats on top The quilt was too thin, heating insufficient, bathroom no heating at all ! We were on a walking holiday in the winter.
