We had a lovely time and our hosts really made the stay very comfortable

Matthew and Rosie are amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Location is brilliant

The property is a little dated and the stairs to the bedroom are quiet steep

An ideal location with excellent facilities for a short break.

The breakfast was lovely. The location couldn’t have been better. The reception was heartfelt, the hosts a mine of information.

Exceptional hosts

Matthew and Rosie where the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble, vegetarian breakfast every morning. Homemade yogurt, juices and cereals.

Loved the Guest House Mathew and Rosie are very welcoming such lovely people would definitely stay there again good hospitality and loved the breakfasts if you wanted information on anything nothing was to much they definitely go above and beyond for you had a great time I will be back beautiful place xxx

Loved the location plenty to do such as boat trips and lots of walking and bus services are good to nice restaurants and cafes loved it all xx

Delicious tasting cooked breakfasts, including home made marmalades and fruit yoghurts. Wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful, great fun. Great location and base for the most outstanding holiday. Thank you.

Hosts were fantastic and very informative and helpful. Great choice of breakfast catered for everyone with a lot of homemade products. The views from the room were outstanding. Couldn't of wished for a better stay.

Fantastic location, great host, excellent breakfast and central location. We will be back.

Fantastic host, fabulous breakfast all locally made and sourced. Ensured we had somewhere planned to eat every evening and was happy to recommend and was interested in our experiences. Able to bring take aways back to the property and use the dining room. Extra tea and coffee provided. Really could not have done more.

Designated car spaces for guests on the harbour side too narrow for estate size cars/4x4s - beware of metal posts either side at front of the spaces - easy to scrape your car. Would park in a different car park next time.

A perfect weekend break for us to unwind and relax.

The location was perfect. Park the car and not use it all weekend. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of food to choose from. We were given a very warm welcome. Our room was overlooking the harbour and was perfect.

There was nothing to improve on.

Matthew and Rosie were friendly, welcoming, and professional proprietors. Sampford Guest House is beautiful, spotlessly clean, with breathtaking views over the harbour, and the breakfast was the best I've ever had. Wow!!!

I couldn't find one fault at the Sampford, because everything was brilliant.

We haven't stayed in a B&B for a few years, having mostly gone for hotels. This was a fab return!

Location fantastic, right on the harbour. Breakfast was freshly cooked with a wide selection

Sanford House delivered. We were both rested and refreshed.

Matthew and Rosie are excellent hosts - friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The breakfasts were wonderful, with many choices available. It’s a very short walk to the centre of Brixham, but a much lovelier walk to Berry Head.

Our room was somewhat cramped although the view over the harbour was partial compensation - and we didn’t go to Brixham to spend a lot of time in a room anyway. The main road into Brixham being closed in both directions will be a pain for all for some time, it seems.
