About this house rental

Welcome to the Beach Chair Bungalow!! This well kept three bedroom/two bath home features a pool (Non-Heated), screen porch, full kitchen, washer/dryer, master bedroom with private bath and comes fully stocked including kitchen ware, a gas grill, comforters, linens, starter toiletries (paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, dish detergent, laundry detergent) and towels. The home is cleaned thoroughly between each guest, has comfortable furniture, and has top notch finishes throughout. In addition to the large bed in each room there is also a pull out sofa in the sun room.
Enjoy a short walk to the beach, rent a golf cart and load up your beach gear, or just hangout at the pool for a lazy day! The Beach Chair Bungalow is near the center of Isle of Palms where you can find a grocery store, gas station, restaurants, shops, the Isle of Palms rec center, the Isle of Palms County Park, and beach bars.
Isle of Palms is approximately 25 minutes away from downtown Charleston which is famous for its shopping and history, particularly on King and Market Street. Isle of Palms has year round activities including kayaking, award winning golf courses, paddleboarding, and more. The Beach Chair Bungalow is managed by a local vacation rental company on Isle of Palms that has been giving guests the best vacation rentals for over 10 years. Our company prides itself on making guests feel at home and comfortable while on vacation. For additional information or specific questions, please put in an inquiry for your desired dates.

Cleaning information: At this property we provide starter "essentials" like a hotel, but we don't have the maids come back each day to restock what was used. In addition to the complete professional cleaning between guests, we provide one bar of soap per bathroom, one small shampoo per bathroom, two rolls of TP per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, hand soap for the sink, two trash bags, and fresh linens for all beds. We also leave one towel and hand towel per guest the home sleeps. We do not provide beach towels or chairs.

Check in was easy, property was clean, listing was accurate as portrayed. The pool was beautiful and enjoyed by all (my kid made me get in at 830 AM). There were a few extremely minor cosmetic issues that are to be expected with any rental, but they did not hamper our stay in any way. 4.8 stars would stay again!

Loved that it was only a few blocks from the beach, less than 5 minutes to walk there. Great beach. Lots of space in the rooms and storage for unpacking. I liked that they provided a lot of dishwear, so we could cook whatever we wanted. Felt like home in that aspect. Wish they had beach towels, for those traveling by plane, being a beach house and all, but glad I asked that before we left, so we had them. Loved having the pool! Worth it!

The overall stay was great. The house was clean and in order. The location to the beach as great too. The only issue was the last night of miscommunication. However it had nothing to do with the agency. The agency is fantastic. They promptly called us back in the middle of the night and took the issue seriously and handled it promptly.

This house was perfect for our family. Very clean bathrooms and kitchen. Nice comfortable bedding. The kids loved the pool . Very short walk to beach. ( about5 minutes) Kitchen was fully stocked for cooking meals. Big front yard for the kids to play ball. The owner and property manager were great to deal with . I really can’t think of anything they need to add especially for the price.

We absolutely loved the beach bungalow! Everything was readily available all the way down to the spices in the cabinets. We enjoyed the home so much with the pool; we never made it to the beach. My son complained the pool was too cold but still enjoyed it. The host responded to all questions I had at an ample time and check in was easy as well as checking out! Book the Beach Bungalow you won’t regret it!!

We were very happy with the area the property was located. We went to the ocean one day which was right at the end of the street. We ate at Poe’s Tavern & Red’s Icehouse which were a short drive away. Charleston was a very easy drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. My husband cooked breakfast every day & we enjoyed eating at the table overlooking the pool!

Overall this little house met our needs and the house was clean and had plenty of amenities. Unfortunately, a storm prevented us from checking in on time, but for the two nights we did say it was very nice. The pool was very clean and the house was the perfect size for us. We appreciated the open communication with the rental agency as well as the owner dropping off flashlights for us in case the tropical storm took out the power. Thankfully they were unneeded. Lovely stay. Would come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This is a great place to relax while being close to the ocean and a short drive to all the must see stops in the Charleston - Mount Pleasant area. The kids loved the pool too! We had a couple questions while at the property which Robert responded to promptly. Definitely recommend this place for families!

We loved our beach stay!! There were six adults and it was comfortable for all of us. The pool was phenomenal and there was nothing lacking. We appreciated the laundry, dish soap, and other things often forgotten even after a trip to the grocery store. Communication was almost instant- really great stay! Thank you!!

We stayed in Isle of Palms for 5 nights and booked this house at the last minute and we were so glad we did! The house was well stocked, spotlessly cleaned, and in a perfect location. It is a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach. The back yard and pool area were very private and a great way to unwind after a day in the heat at the beach. Communication with the agent was spot on. We had one minor issue with the hot water which was immediately addressed and fixed. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Family of 6. Four adults and to toddles: 3 and 1 yr old. The house was the perfect space for our vacation at the beach. It had every thing you needed and the agent suggested places to rent items for the children. Clean, with all the amenities, listed on the website. Great front porch with large yard. Pool in back with a great outdoor shower. House had games, cards and dice. Location was quiet neighborhood and easy access to groceries and beach. We rented items from the sites suggested. Delivery was on the porch when we arrived. We rented a golf cart and allowed us to get around the island easily. ( best parking at the beach). Agent was great and very helpful and we communicated with text! Would love to go back and definitely consider renting the house again!

This house was a perfect location! We ended up renting a golf cart to go back and forth to the beach. We made plans in Mt. Pleasant and Charleston and the drive wasn’t all that far away. There are some great restaurants near the house as well! We recommend The Co-Op and The Refuge. Overall, this Mother’s Day getaway was amazing and so was the house!

This property was perfectly situated on IOP, just a short walk to the beach but away from main traffic areas. Robert was super responsive and accommodating to our requests and questions.

There were some communications issues, but the manager and owner were responsive, to that was good. House is nice, good location, as advertised. However, reason for 3 stars: safety - most windows do not lock, and one was broken with duct tape over the glass. It would be easy for someone to cut the tape, unlock the window, then sneak in, or simply open most of the other windows. The other reason for 3 stars is the cameras are creapy and the usage lights were on a lot, detecting our motions. Owner claims he does not watch the feed, but there is no way of knowing this, and it's weird.
