This lovely home in Newport, Oregon boasts ample RV and boat parking that conveniently accommodate a range of adventures and outdoor fun. When guests aren't exploring, or enjoying the sand and waves, they can gather on the side yard deck and cook up some grub on the gas grill or enjoy the private hot tub! This spacious, split-level home is lovely for families, with a wood-burning fireplace right at the heart of it all. One bathroom and two bedrooms are on the lower level, and there are two bedrooms with a large hallway bathroom on the upper level.
Located in Surfland Estates (three mi south of Newport), the neighborhood is quiet, tree-lined, kid and bike-friendly, and with dead-end streets! Surfland has two beach accesses only for residents and their guests. The first is a switchback staircase leading down to the beach, and the trail leading to it is just a short walk from the house on Surfland Street. The other is at the end of the same street, a measured half-mile from the home. This one is a low bank with easy walk-on access and parking space. Either one will take you to one of the most beautiful, pristine, and unpopulated beaches on the Oregon Coast, perfect for beachcombing and teeming with coastal wildlife! If you prefer a dune type of beach with trails, the South Beach State Park is just a little over a mile to the north.
Newport is just a few miles north, with boat launches and a crabbing/fishing dock next to the Rogue Brewery World Headquarters (crab rings are stacked behind the house for your convenience and enjoyment!) The Oregon Coast Aquarium is also nearby. On the other side of the bridge are the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and the Old Bayfront, lined with shops, a wide variety of restaurants, and other popular attractions. At the end is mooring for the largest commercial fishing fleet on the Oregon Coast. Further into Newport, the Nye Beach district is also popular with visitors. Two golf courses within a few miles of the house also provide a fun and challenging break from the beach; if you can break away from the beach, that is!

The location was great, close to the marina for the big boys and close to the beach for the littles. Loved the map re how to get to the beach. This is a dog friendly home and full of carpet so if you have allergies bring some meds. Kid friendly depending on age of kids and has a stash of games and puzzles, adult friendly with a lovely hot tub!

This house is not worth the amount to reserve it. The house is old, the pictures of it are deceiving. The large deck was not swept off, and had moss growing on it. There was not nearly enough toilet paper for 9 people for a week.
We planned on relaxing, watching the Olympics on TV. The tv's were not operating when we got to the house. We called, the tv's were never operative. Lastly, the front steps need to have hand rails, they are not safe for the elderdly.

This property was great for our family trip of 9. Comfy beds, great living room space, nice big table for meals & games. Pretty quiet neighborhood close to all kinds of activities!

We loved the rooms and the spacious kitchen and living room. Our dogs were really comfortable playing around the house and since the beach was really close it was a blast! The trail to the beach got us to see a great view from up top. The jacuzzi felt like a great addition as well! Overall everything was great!

Not far away from everything but hidden from all the hustle. The hot tub is totally secluded with a woodsy view. Big beds and nice kitchen. Would stay again

It was easy to get to Newport in Depoe Bay from Abalone Rose. The jacuzzi was enjoyed by our teens.

House has everything you need. Great beach with hardly anyone else on it. We’ve stayed here before and will be back!

Beach was amazing, great location

The house was very comfortable for 8 people. It's in a nice quiet location close to the beach with drive up access.

This house was everything and more. I loved the fact that it felt like we were in the forest with only a mile to the beach. It felt like a home away from home. The only thing I would say is the beach access is quite a hike down with stairs and you gotta climb them back. If you’re not in shape or don’t plan to do much later I would just drive to the other beach access. But other than that it was amazing definitely will be booking again.

I LOVED that the family area was all in one spot and the sleeping areas were separate; adults upstairs and teens had the entire downstairs to themselves.
Beds were really comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets.
The kitchen was FULLY stocked. It was refreshing to see more than just the basics. There was even a lemon juicer. Plenty of pots, pans, bowls and plates.
The walk down to the beach was short and easy, I could have spent all my time down there.
Definitely would book this home again.

The carpet could use a good cleaning and the coffee grinder didn’t work. However, the house was cozy, sheets were clean, close to town and the beach was great.

Our family converged in Newport to support our son at a weight lifting competition. This house was the perfect size to accomodate all of us. The location was wonderful, far enough from the road to be quiet, but close enough to walk to the beach. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable. We played a couple of the games in the evening, just adding to the memories.
Our only minor complaints were the smell of the fridge, the temp of the hot tub being a little under and a nail on the stairs under the carpet. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

The bedrooms were nice, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. The neighborhood was pleasant. The beach was a short walk away, down a lovely trail. We all had a great time. Well worth the money,

Pretty much everything was great. The house was large and has lots of beds. The kitchen is large but didnt have enough dish soap for just washing a few dishes, and there was so many cupboards it would get really confusing. The only thing that was really disappointing for everyone was the hottub. There was so much bleach, that when u would open the cover, It would burn your eyes. It was bad until our last day when the bleach calmed down and we were leaving!

The house is nicely finished and laid out. King beds are nice and ample TVs. But there were some issues, they still need more kitchen equipment and the knifes and scissors need replacing. The walls need to be washed, you can see where the dogs have been by and the upstairs bed spreads were so dirty/stained I didn't feel comfortable using them. There was no directions on the hot tub and it would not get above 96 degrees which wasn't warm enough to enjoy on the cold wet fall nights. The hot tub was the biggest disappointment as I chose this house because of it. We were on a mental health get away after our family had been through some trauma and needed to recharge.

The house was the perfect size for all of us to be comfortable and together. Well stocked kitchen! Lots of great games. Loved all the king beds and places to sleep. I would stay here again. Could also hear the ocean when the window is open at night. Very nice!!!

Our friends enjoyed their stay as much as we did! So we give high marks to the staff.
There were a few quirks to adjust to, initially. Lower house level is cooler, so we found an extra blanket. Heaters work fine but make white noise.
Plenty of towels for home and jaccuzzi.
TVs all worked ok. We enjoyed evening Netflix together. And watched news in our rooms.
Kitchen supplies were adequate. Brought and bought whatever else we needed. Big ‘ol standard side-by-side home fridge was barely big enough for a full house.
Decorative painting and poster decorations matched our interests exactly—read our minds?
Found the neighborhood beach access by directly walking down 40-steps or driving further to a private parking lot beach access, to be a luxury. State public beach is near with many walking trails, too.
Neighborhood entry to the main highway requires caution due to its blind position at the hill top.

Very cozy home with plenty of beds for 4 adults, two young kids and our dogs. Loved the convenience of the fenced in yard, and private parking. Just a short walk down to a beautiful beach, through a great neighborhood and super close to Newport for groceries and a visit to the aquarium. Would definitely stay there again.

The house is dog-friendly, which we have stayed in this type before and not had a problem. However, this house had visible dog hair on the furniture and carpets. We vacuumed for hours upon our arrival. The house smelled of wet dog and there were some stains in some of the bed rooms from dog messes. We had to wash the bedding after sleeping for the first night, we all itched from the dander and could not get past the smell (the "stains" on the sheets and matress pad washed out). We contacted Vacasa upon arrival and they said "Our team seems overwhelmed ..., kindly allow us some time and we will sort you out" We did not here from anyone for the remainder of our 10 day stay.
The kitchen had enough to make due, but not fully stocked. The starter coffee filters are for a basket type coffee pot, you need cone filters.
The lay out of the house is nice, we had enough space for our family of 5 to relax for the week. It is a older home that has had a lot of guests since the photos were taken.
The location to Newport was great, we were at the port for crabbing within 5 to 10 minutes. We will visit Newport again, but will not stay in a Vacasa managed house EVER again.

This home is laid out with three levels so everything is just a few steps away upstairs or down from the main level. The bedrooms are huge and the king sized beds in three rooms is very unusual for rental properties. It gives everyone who stays the feeling they are special.
We especially loved having our dogs with us and having plenty of room for their crates. The living room was cozy and the kitchen well stocked.
I also liked having access to the driveway from one of the bedrooms. The hot tub was divine and seemed to heat up just fine at first.
I loved having all the cozy places to congregate or to just have some time by ourselves on the various patios and decks.
We used the barbecue too.
The house got fairly warm while we were there and we had to open all the windows to get some cooler air inside. There’s no air conditioning and no fans, which makes sense at the coast, but we had some very warm weather.
This is a beautiful, big home with everything you could need. The beds are amazing and we had a fantastic day on the beach at the private beach access. We would definitely rent this one again!

House was nice and big for my family of 7. 3 king sized beds and single beds were just enough for all of us. Kitchen was nice and big since we did eat at home a lot.

This house was very comfortable, clean and wonderful. Close to the ocean and town. I would recommend it to everyone.

Three king size beds were comfortable with good size bedrooms. With just 2 bathrooms, best for 8 or fewer adults. The kitchen dining area was overly cozy with 8 of us. The kitchen could use better non stick pots and pans, otherwise well equipped. The upstairs bathtub-shower needs grab bars for older guests.

Fine house, but probably won't stay again
Host was good, and check-in process very easy. Downstairs queen mattress was EXTREMELY comfortable, and I have chronic back pain so it's hard to find a mattress that feels good to me.
Some room for improvement: the upstairs shower has a very hard time draining. There's no place to sit down for a meal with a group of 8 since the table in the breakfast nook is pushed against a wall. Overall, the house is not big enough to be comfortable for the 8 people in our party. A small group of adults without young kids would have an easier time. Also there's nowhere that's comfortable to sit and do a puzzle or play a game, but I appreciated the variety of them at the house. Also, since this house is dog-friendly, you can definitely smell that dogs have been there.

House was comfortable in size. Heat could have been turned on..took forever to get the chill out. Do not rent for the hot tub as we did. It does not work. Reported but no call back. Hot tub area is mud, tree needles, not lit and not secure. But it is a house with comfortable beds, plenty of room, lots of towels. Beach is nice there but quite a walk.

Comfortable Home Away from Home
This house is far enough out of town that it is quiet and tucked in a secluded neighborhood with private beach access. The hot tub is in the rear of the house very private and comfortable. Beds are cozy and the rooms are good size. We had 6 people in our group and everyone had plenty of room. Shower/baths are adequate with steady hot water. The kitchen is well equipped. Other than purchasing some essentials at the local Safeway we were able to BBQ and have a crab boil for everyone. Television had all the necessary channels and access to keep the kids the occupied. We were very happy with this home and would rent this again for another family vacation.

Location is the Best
Just close enough and far enough from town. Nestled in trees and shrubs making it feel secluded and plenty of parking for large family. We didn't try the walk to the beach (baby in tow) but South Beach State Park is just up the road and a perfect place for everyone to play. Clean, quiet and LOTS of room.

Highly recommended
