You can’t beat the views in this beautiful 3 bed/2 bath Retreat. Relax in the hot tub or chill on the porch while you grill out. With the ease of access to this house all you will be saying is; “why didn’t I come sooner?”. 10 minutes to Deadwood and 5 minutes from Sturgis on well maintained paved roads which are hard to come by in the Black Hills, outside of the towns. The evenings here were so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the deer come out of the hills surrounding us and making their way to the brook/pond below.
Since this is a newer development, there is construction going on during the day. But, even that was quiet.

Everything was as it was listed. Had one very minor issue with sheets for the extra bed but wasn't a big deal. Some people have had an issue with the rules of the house and the extra charges if you don't clean up after yourself. We had no problems. Treat it as if it's your house and your stuff and there won't be any charges.

The property is lovely. But the early morning check-out time (9am) and potential extra charges if pillows are in the wrong room, furniture moved out of place, trash not removed upon leaving, washing two loads of laundry (towels washed and dried, then all sheets and pillowcases washed), cleaning the grill and careful use of the hot tub, gave our vacation a stressed undertone. We have to pay a cleaning fee up front, so I don't expect to do half the work before I leave. I personally go on vacation to get away from worry, laundry and cleaning.

The property is beautiful and located on a gorgeous piece of land. The only downside is the amount of rules that come with this stay. Yes it is easy to follow, but there are so many little things that you can potentially get charged with. My family and I were stressing over making sure the pillows were in the right rooms so that we would not get charged for them being in the wrong room. Other than that it was a very nice place to stay!

This house and property are beautiful. Overall we enjoyed our time here! Lots of rules to follow and wasn't keen on the camera inside the house facing the entry door but I also understand why it's there. Outside of the vacuum being dumped in the clean garbage can in the kitchen and sheets left on the couch, everything was very clean! After the checkout checklist, I'm not sure there is much left for the cleaners to do for the fee charged. Communication with the host was excellent.

In the text message from the property owner before arriving, there was a sentence of welcome, then some instructions about the house then a sentence in the instructions for the hot tub that said: “You break it you bought it”. The patio and deck were very dirty, the hot tub filters were lying on the cement in the back of the hot tub, and when jets were turned on, so many suds formed that we had to scoop it off. Holes in basement bedroom screen with a very large spider inside the screen (about 3 inches in diameter, brown). Dead mouse in the window well. Notes all over with warnings of “extra fees” if you do “NASTY STUFF” in the hot tub that wasn’t even fit to use, move furniture, don’t put 2 loads of wash in the laundry before leaving, don’t have the current bed and pillow coverings in the correct rooms, don’t’ start the dishwasher before leaving. etc. Also had to put away dishes from the last renter in the dishwasher. Not sure what the over $200 cleaning fee was for. Instructions to clean BBQ grill after use but it wasn’t clean to start with, so we had to clean before and after use. I guess we are owed the grill cleaning fee of $25. Had trouble enjoying the house due to these issues. Most likely won’t rent another short-term rental again.

Place was super clean, well stocked with everything you need for a vacation and great parking for the Mustangs during the Sturgis Mustang Rally. The drive to Sturgis and Deadwood are about the same in time. Loved being in the middle of the area, but have it quiet and comfortable. Ill be coming back next year!

House and surrounding area are beautiful. It’s located about 15 min from Sturgis. We had rented house for 4 nights. However, we didn’t receive the check in code so emailed the Hostess about 4pm to ask about it. By 7pm after many emails and leaving numerous phone messages and receiving no response, we had to rent three Hotel rooms in Sturgis for the night. About midnight I received emails and phone calls. The hostess was very apologetic and offered to credit us for the hotel costs. She said she was not in town and had sent checkin information 1 week ago which I hadn’t received . We checked in next morning. Also heads up on having rules that if you don’t follow you will be fined. I really hate giving this a low rating but the delay in communication was unacceptable.

Overall a nice place to stay. Located close to Sturgis and Deadwood. The car port was smaller than it looked in picture so glad there wasn’t any bad weather because it would have not fit both cars under. Had a great time!

Heavy snows before our trip altered the plans of the host but they graciously adjusted properties for my wife and I before our stay. Property was clean and quiet as we were excited for just that. I would recommend this property to anyone and will stay there again.

We stayed at this location with a couple other friends and there spouses. It had beautiful scenery. Even got to see deer everyday. The location was at a good location for what we did for that week. Will definitely go back and stay here again!

Great place to stay in the Deadwood/Sturgis area. Location was great. Place had great amenities. Could be cleaned better we found stains, an old eyelash strip stuck to the sheets, and random bugs. Host was easy to communicate with too which was appreciated!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Location was isolated enough that we didn’t feel congested and still close enough to all the extra curricular activities. I’d describe it as centrally located. House was clean and comfortable. Truly felt like a home away from home. All the required amenities were available, along with clear concise directions on acceptable use of the property as well as what was required for checkout. 10/10 would stay again and plan on it for next fall, with the kiddos next time.

We rented this property to serve as home base for his “Black Hill’s Birthday Bucket List Trip.” He had figured day trips to all the areas we wished to visit during the week. We did message the host at about noon on the day of arrival asking about the code to the door for check in at 3:00 (made me nervous to be so far from home and not know we’d be able to get in for sure-VRBO novice).
The house had breathtaking views, was well stocked (bring a hairdryer, I didn’t check the listing) and we appreciated all the day to day items that were provided (laundry, dishwasher, garbage bags, dish soap, tin foil, etc). The main bed was comfortable and we enjoyed cool evenings on the front porch or with open windows. We took one day during the week to watch movies in the downstairs living room area which was very comfortable. Cooked several meals for evenings “in” after being out all day. The overall stay was perfect for us, and though there are a lot of rules and a couple of cameras present (pointed at doors), I guess we assumed the owner had been burned by bad renters previously. We always try to leave things better than we found it and were appreciative of being able to stay in such a lovely place. Definitely an up and coming development area with new houses going up, but still that rustic feel perfectly situated between Sturgis and Deadwood. We had a wonderful stay (and trip). We loved this house in this lovely neighborhood. It was very clean and had ample space. The kitchen was stocked well with everything you would need. The views from the deck were stunning and the hot tub was a welcome treat at the end of a day of hiking.
We didn’t like the camera inside the house. Although the owner says they aren’t activated when the house is in use, we felt uneasy about it.
The downstairs bathroom had one washcloth. We could’ve used at least one if not 3 more.
Having to wash and dry a load of laundry (towels and sheets)and start another load, was challenging with the early check out of 9:00 am. Doing this made us feel rushed.
We used the grill one night and only one burner worked. When asking Alison about this, she told me to clean it. I feel like this wasn’t my responsibility. Especially since she charges if the grill isn’t cleaned.
Also, the lock in the downstairs door doesn’t work, there is a bar there, however.
Overall, we really enjoyed this lovely home, even with all of the rules. We always take great care of the homes we rent and understand there need to be rules, but the tone in the MANY signs was a bit much.

I've stayed at several VRBO properties in the past, but nothing compares to this one! It's a newer cabin that's very nicely decorated with breathtaking views of the Black Hills. Allison (host) was very responsive and very easy to work with. We had an enclosed trailer and were able to park at the bottom of driveway. Having a car-port worked great to keep our motorcycles protected from and bad weather. The location is perfect - between Sturgis and Deadwood. Without question, I would stay at this property again. If possible, I would have given 6 stars!!! Thank you Allison!

The house was amazing, we loved the amenities and the decor. Watching the deer in the morning and late evening was very peaceful. It was close to Sturgis and Deadwood. Really enjoyed the carport for parking the bikes. Allison was a great host to work with, even with a little hiccup we had during our stay. I would 100 percent stay here again.

Five nights for a car rally
House was clean with exception of a ceiling fan. It could use more towels but we got by. It has lots of rules, past boarders must not take care of it like they want. Hence the rules? We enjoyed it very much great views and lots of wildlife. We had three vehicles and the driveway is steep a little hard to get in and out. Overall I would stay there again.
