Location, location, location! The ability to walk to nearby shops, restaurants and galleries made our stay in Sturgeon Bay so pleasant. We only got in our vehicle to drive to hiking trails and wineries in Door County. Our hosts, Chandall & Aaron have thought of everything and have the “cabin” well-appointed. Leaving a bottle of local wine as a welcome gift was a nice touch. The onsite laundry room was so convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again if we make it back to Sturgeon Bay.

This stay was perfect for four girls on our girls Door County weekend. Close enough to walk to many establishments. We would stay again!

Great job decorating and quick walk to bars/ restaurants

Adorable one bedroom cottage in the heart of town. Great decor and all amenities you could ask for.
I would highly recommend this cottage.

This would be a great place to stay for a couple. We brought our toddler and dog and were very cramped. It’s a very small place with a lot of decor. Not much room to put things or move around. Also, there isn’t a full kitchen which meant we had to eat out almost every meal. I would recommend to a couple but not a family.

Great location, nice cabin charm.

Very comfortable and cozy. We liked the funky, Northwoods decor.

Lots of local things to do and see. I would recommend a hot plate so we could make breakfast eggs. Other than that we had a relaxing stay.

This cozy little spot was just right for our quick getaway.

Very homey space that was clean and comfy. Surrounding neighborhood was wonderful- we took many walks around the area and enjoyed the scenery. Road we were on got a little busy and noisy in the morning but we had fan on that drowned out most of traffic noise.

Enjoyed the location, close to the fairgrounds and some restaurants. Property is quaint and eclectic. It is not set up to make meals with the wet bar sink and lack of cook top, fyi. Bathroom sink is interesting but could use better water pressure.
Served our purposes well, good night's sleep and hot showers. Price was a bit high for the space.

This cabin lodge inspired apartment within an adorable house is located in a trendy neighborhood walking distance to shops and cool eats!
Loved it!
Comfy bed! Really comfy bed!

A small but clean and comfortable cabin-themed unit--one of 6 or 7 on this property. It had access to grilling, a toaster oven/air fryer, dishwasher, etc. Bed room was comfortable but I would not recommend more than 2 in the unit--it's too small. Kitchen worked for us, but again, small and not a good eating area per se. OK to cook a pizza or something and eat in front of the TV. It's on a busy road as well, and not really an area to sit outside and enjoy. Good access to shops in Sturgeon Bay. Its a nice unit and it worked for us, but not a cabin experience per se.

Property is adorable and easy to find. Comfortable bed and bottle of wine and it was perfect.

This had everything we needed for a long weekend away. Great “northwoods cabin ambiance” and a mini kitchen so we could pick up food at the grocery store and eat in. The bed was comfy and it was easy to park our very large dually truck in the parking lot.
I called to ask about weather conditions and parking before we left because there had just been a snow storm and my call was returned right away and the lot was plowed so we didn’t have to postpone our plans.
We would definitely stay again.

This was my first time booking a rental so I didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by how cute and comfortable this rental was. There are so many wonderful details in the decor that made it so fun to stay here. The instructions for check in/ check out were very clear and not asking too much. We also were notified on our day of check in that we could check in early which was a nice surprise. It’s also in a great location within walking distance to lots of shops (coffee shop a couple blocks down was amazing). Overall this booking was extremely professional and easy, and I’d love to stay here again!

We were very happy with our stay. The bottle of wine was much appreciated. The only problem we encountered was there was limited space to put our suitcases on. A small bench in the bedroom would have been nice instead of a chair. Otherwise, it was a very cute place.

This property was just perfect. There were so many nice extras from the property owners. We will definitely stay again if back in the area.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and it was a very cute, cozy place to stay. Everything was just as pictured which we loved and the location is very centrally located and within walking distance to all of the great shops and restaurants in the business district.
We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The unit was easy to find, very clean and felt safe. We were on the go site seeing but this unit provided a comfortable place to call home for the time that we were there.

We enjoyed our stay. Close to all the stores and restaurants, walked a lot around the bay.

The apartment is cute and the bed is very comfortable. We had our dogs with us which we specifically mentioned in our request to book, yet the pet fee was not added to our booking costs. There is no way that I saw to do that yourself. The checkin info came 2 weeks before the start of our stay and I do not check my email that often so I missed it. But that email stressed that if we had dogs we must be charged the dog fee or the would be unauthorized and that our dogs were not to be left unattended at any time. This was not great as we had tickets for a concert and were forced to leave our dogs unattended in a parking lot for 2 hrs. Also this hindered meals which would have been ok if the apartment had a basic kitcken which it does not. As equipped you can eat cereal and sandwiches and microwave or heat premade meals. I think that claiming they have all the basics is a stretch. It is a cute space conveniently located, but probably not the best choice for people with dogs or those who prefer to cook meals.

Decorated very rustic-loved that. Good location not far from downtown and harbor, very walkable. Having the fire place heater was very nice as it was quite cool. Could use a luggage rack for suitcase as not much room in bedroom . Thanks for a wonderful stay

The accommodations were cozy, clean & convenient. Really enjoyed the location.
Loved being able to walk downtown. Nice to have the cozy side garden to BBQ & sit by the fire pit in the evening. It was also super close to wineries, hiking & other towns.

Cozy Retreat
We had a enjoyable 4 days staying in Sturgeon Bay. This was our home base for exploring Door County. The apartment was uniquely decorated and perfect for 2 people. The apartment was clean, close to downtown, and furnished with everything we needed. Communication with Chandall and Aaron at checkin/during stay was excellent. Communication with property manager (reservation manager) Evolve during reservation process not so much. Tried adding another day but could never get through on phone to Evolve to discuss. Would stay again if ever in Door County.

Not for Everyone
The positives about this apartment are it's in a safe location and close to nice shops and stores, and was also very clean. However, for $400 per night (with all the fees), I expected better. It's probably a good place to stay for young adults who travel with not much more than a backpack! The photos shown on the website make the apartment appear quite a bit larger than it is. Be aware it is one of 4 apartments in the same house, so you do hear your neighbors. You could sort of get this info when booking, but they aren't overly clear about it. The apartment is very tiny and I have no idea how 4 adults (says it sleeps 4) would EVER share this space. There isn't even seating for 4 people. The biggest issue was that it was so crammed full of "rustic charm" items that it's quite dysfunctional. Every wall space, corner, shelf, etc had an old trunk covered with knick knacks sitting in it, full wood crates, or decor items, so there was literally NO place to put your luggage or items you might have brought with you for a week's stay. How about clearing out two places and adding luggage racks? We only had 2 people in our party and there was absolutely no place to put our stuff. Heaven help you if you are a person who wears a lot of makeup/travels with a lot of hair stuff (I'm not), as the bathroom is also dysfunctional with no vanity. Yes, we saw that in the photo, but was hoping there might be a surface in the corner to set our bathroom items, other than one old, slatted wood crate. Enough with the wobbly, crooked wood crates that are used to set items on (after you clear off the "rustic charm" items. The other item that was simply a hazard is the "sled coffee table". The living room is so small that all you do is bump your knees on the sled runners coming and going, it's very wobbly, and the slats of the top of the sled make it suitable only for certain items. Get rid of it and the huge ottoman and replace it with perhaps a round coffee table and a smaller footstool to open up the "living room" space. The second day there we moved the coffee table out of the way. The red refrigerator has some kind of issue with the compressor, as there is a constant beeping sound when it kicks in --- might want to get that looked at. We lived with it. We did have to reach out to our property contact to request linens for the sofa bed, and the spare pillows were a disaster (smashed wads of stuffing). Good thing I brought a couple spares from home as we often experience this when traveling. We weren't provided any extra quilt for the sofa bed, only the sheets, so just had to use the spare fleece throw found in an old trunk. These were kind of gross and dingy looking on the white fleece side, and wasn't thrilled with using them. The front storm door needs a different knob, that thing is a pain in the rear to get shut. It's a pet friendly place, as we also had our little dog and we are responsible, respectful owners and she is well trained. We had to reach out about our neighbor's large dog that was barking non stop. I will highly complement our property contact for addressing this immediately with the property owner, and they took care of it. An extra bottle of wine was left for the hassle. But, I'd rather have respectful guests and clear policies, more than wine. I would suggest you highlight a pet policy front and center when booking. I never really did find any set policy expectations for guests who bring pets, just to make sure you pay for your pet! These are all common sense suggestions I believe most travelers would appreciate and expect for this price per night. Again, I do complement our contact person while we were staying there, she was very helpful. Enjoyed our adventures throughout Door County itself.

Cozy and Rustic
Cozy, romantic place to stay with your partner! We went during the summer for a wonderful weekend getaway and loved how this place was close to downtown. We went for daily walks after large meals and the area is very walkable. There's a very cute coffee shop a few blocks down where you can get amazing breakfast. The place was clean, we had fresh towels and clean dishes. One suggestion for the owner - it would be great to have an electric stove, even a simple one to plug in. There is a microwave for leftovers and toaster oven for heating up breakfast, but you won't be able to cook full-on meals here.

Thanksgiving and Anniversary Getaway
This property was the PERFECT getaway for my husband and I for Thanksgiving and to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. It was super clean, very cozy and quaint, and close to everything! We had our two pups with us and they were very comfortable. We absolutely loved it! Highly recommend!

The theme was cool, but there is no cooking in the apartment...not friendly
For the price I would expect a small stove at least.

The place was so cute! The decor was charming and we loved the set-up. It was nice to be so close to downtown Sturgeon Bay and yet also was easy access to everything else up the peninsula. The one thing I’ll mention is the noise. Other people had commented on it and we knew that other people would be on the property from the description, but it was more than I would have expected. From waking up to alarms and footsteps on the creaky floors from upstairs to hearing dog barks next door to the loud traffic of the major road in front of the house to the loud hum of the refrigerator, it didn’t quite match the ambiance of the rest of the “cabin” feel. Otherwise, the place worked out well for us.
2.5
We enjoyed our stay! It was decorated very cute, it was with in walking distance to town and we enjoyed the bottle of wine left for us.The king bed was comfy, but the room was small. We couldn't fit both suitcases in the bedroom. There was only 1 small mirror in the bathroom, so a full size mirror would have been nice too. Over all, we enjoyed our stay.
