About this villa rental
Affairs to Remember is a large, modern beachfront house, with more than 3,000 sq ft of living space including a big beachside patio surrounding its private pool. Wooded lots, mature shrubs, and bushes with gorgeous tropical flowers on both sides of the house. A concrete fence screens out neighboring properties and affords a great deal of privacy. The house features all concrete construction, 9 foot or better ceilings, and tinted double glazed windows and doors. This home is cool and quiet. It also boasts one of the best beaches in Belize. Wander out more than a hundred feet on a firm sandy bottom from our beach and bask in sea temperatures that average 80 degrees or better year-round.
All water in the house is filtered and safe for you to enjoy.
The three air-conditioned bedrooms each have a king bed, soft furnishings, complementing the custom-designed precious hardwood four-poster beds, closets, and bureaux. The master bedroom boasts its own private oceanfront balcony and a large 65" 4K Smart TV and the other bedrooms have a 55" 4K Smart TV. The spacious master bathroom in black marble and mahogany not only has a double indoor walk-in shower but, should you wish to shower under the caribbean sun or stars, also offers a step outside into the cleverly designed open air wet room!
Bedrooms 2 and 3 are generously sized and appointed in custom made hardwoods in matching style, share a second spacious balcony overlooking the pool and Caribbean sea. The second bathroom, also in black marble and mahogany, is luxuriously cool and serene. Downstairs, opening onto the huge, shaded outside living space, is the well-appointed kitchen, up-to-the-minute appliances for ease of cooking including safe induction stovetop, stainless steel fridge/freezer with ice-maker, a separate beer fridge and wine cooler for entertaining on the patio, dishwasher, an oven, microwave and plenty of preparation space.
Spacious storage and laundry area with washer and dryer are provided behind beautiful custom made cabinetry.
The generous open plan living and dining space offer screened windows and floor to ceiling sunrise-facing tri-fold doors which slide completely to one side, allowing light to flood the living and dining areas, and the cool breeze to circulate. The natural marble floors, along with the Caribbean breeze means the house is naturally cooled all day. The owners have custom-built a massive corner sofa unit to stretch out and watch the big-screen 65” 4K Smart TV. Local tastefully created artwork adorns the walls, and outside, ample seating under hardwood shade creates a convivial atmosphere to enjoy entertaining dining or sunset cocktails.
The BASE RATE for the house and 2 people is $625 per night.
Additional guests are $25 per person per night.

The house was perfect for our group of friends. There are many nearby places to eat. The pool is amazing.

Can’t say enough good things about this rental. First of all, the communication was excellent. The owner responded often in under 10 minutes to questions I had leading up to the stay. And while there the manager Kimberly was amazing. Very helpful tips about excursions or food etc and when had minor issues she responded immediately.
We essentially lived on the back patio and for good reason. Awesome pool that was cleaned regularly. Great beach and so pleasantly surprised the sandy ocean floor. Nice privacy with surrounding fence.
Kitchen well stocked and especially appreciate plenty of containers for leftovers.
Would highly recommend meals either at Maya Beach Bistro or, my favorite, Mickeys. Able to walk to both.
For excursions Glover’s Reef is a must do if you love to snorkel but really any boat trip well worth it. Lunch at King Lewys island was super fun.
Just the best two weeks and would highly recommend.

The property is as listed, but so much more. It is situated beautifully on the Maya Beach, and nicely set back from the beach for complete privacy.
The amenities are great, the location is within walking distance to great restaurants and we felt immediately at home.
Wendy and Pat have provided great information on local attractions and have a super efficient Property Manager who was available when needed.
This Property ticks all the boxes for a warm, relaxing holiday away in a beautiful country that has many natural beauties to offer.

This is an amazing house in an ideal location. It's right on the beach and right next to the best restaurant in Placencia - The Maya Beach Bistro - which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen in the house has everything you could need if you want to cook and there is a washer and dryer which also came in handy. Another plus is that the water out of the tap is filtered so there is no need to buy bottled water. Our weather was not ideal otherwise we would have been in the pool every day. The owner was great to communicate with as was the house manager upon our arrival. One thing to note is that there is no air conditioning downstairs. You can open up both sets of sliding doors going out to the pool area during the day but in the evening it can be quite warm because the doors need to be closed to keep out the bugs. Other than that it could not have been better!

My kids are in their early 20's and the oldest is married, buying Christmas gifts isn't as easy as a trip to Walmart anymore. We needed something special, something that they'd always remember. This was the trip! This was the house! Belize has the kind of adventures you could only find in an Indiana Jones movie. We swam under waterfalls, saw jungle plane crashes, even toured a Mayan underworld of rituals and found the remains of skeletons that were 1,000 years old. At the end of every adventure we we glad to be "home" in the lap of luxury. The house, pool, beach, water was all perfect. We brought in a chef a couple nights and ate BBQ Lobster at our own dining room table. Several other evening we visited beautiful resort restuarants as they welcomed the general public even if we weren't staying at their resort! Our home was quiet, had a great location, and was comfortable when it was hot outside as well as in the cooler rainy days. We highly recommend Affairs to Remember as your next getaway. We loved it!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Proximity to the beach and private pool. We were greeted by our host Jack with a welcome drink, who arranged for a private day tour of the Cayes, private chef for dinner and house keeping. Everyone was friendly and the food was amazing! A consideration for anyone traveling in the month of September, at the tail end of our stay many of the resorts were closing for end of season, which limited our options for restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay in the seafront villa! We enjoyed all aspects of it - from sitting outside on the adirondack chairs having coffee and watching the sunrise to swimming in the pool and paddle boarding right off the beach in front of the property. Also - the property manager was a wonderful resource for info, events, etc. Highly recommended!

We had a great family vacation. The house was as advertised. We really enjoyed the day on the boat with Akeem snorkeling and visiting islands, chef cooking for us at the house, and the massages. We went in early June during the off season so there were not many people which we enjoyed. We ate at a few of the local restaurants and never had a bad meal. I recommend you work with Jack (Property Management) to set up some excursions and things to do. We rented an SUV so we were able to explore on our own as well. The all wheel drive SUV came in handy when going to Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary in the hills/mountains.

The property was exactly as advertised. Great house with plenty of room. Everything we needed to cook, enjoy the pool, beach, etc…. Having the restaurant next door was a bonus and the food and bar were excellent. Grocery store about 3 blocks south as well. A bit of a drive to town, but we had a minivan so no problem at all. Would stay here again on our next visit.

We had an amazing time at Affairs to Remember. The house is stunning. We loved the pool and swimming in the ocean. Had a great time going to the bars and restaurants nearby but also a great time just hanging out at the house. Jack did a great job organizing tours for us. Our favorite was snorkeling and island hopping and a lobster lunch on the beach. Definitely want to come back next year!

We were looking for a place to get away and we found it. House and amenities were great. Incredible view with places to eat not far away. Would definitely tell you to go to Rick's Cafe for the Modo Mio and use Ahkeem for a water adventure, or two! He and his crew worked hard at making it a memorable trip. Well worth the expense. Two thumbs up.

We had a great time at "An Affair To Remember". The Villa is at a superb location right along a quiet beach. We traveled with another couple and the accommodations were great for us both. The pool was in perfect condition and was well maintained. We enjoyed the private boat excursion organized by the manager – we would highly recommend the excursion. We also spent a great afternoon at the Spice Farm as well as a Zip Lining and River Tubing. We would highly recommend the location and look forward to coming back again.

Paradise!
We couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect place and location. We felt safe, loved the pool, the views are incredible, the property has everything you need for a vacation (including the washer and dryer)…we loved it! My teen and tween included 🙂 It was quiet and close enough to Placencia village and mainland activities, plus a short walk to the BEST restaurant in Belize, Maya Beach Bistro.

Perfect
Had the best time here. House and location were perfect in every way. Pool kept the kids occupied all week, beautiful view and waves crashing, individual AC units meant everyone slept great, including the ones who turned it off and opened the doors to the sea breeze. Super private, but near enough to everything. Walked to Bistro for happy hour many nights, best food and drinks and very reasonable. Jack clued us in to lots of great ideas, including Akeem the boat captain, for our best day of all. Never been to Belize, best of many worlds for us.

First Scuba Trip to Belize
This property is beautiful and very well appointed. They have thought of everything and description is perfect. Our only confusion was the 3rd bathroom is a half bath downstairs so 2 bedrooms share a bathroom upstairs, but very nice accommodations. A/C in the bedrooms works great. Pool and beach amenities were amazing and location cannot be beat. There are several restaurants close by with amazing food too! The only thing we would have liked was the hot tub to be heated, but it is probably too hot for that most of the rest of the year in Belize. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and will definitely book it again if we return!

Excellent Home
Affairs to remember is a beautiful property and beside one of the best restaurant's in Placencia. Jack the property manager was awesome and setup many events for us from a private chef to beach front home massages. The only downside was 2 weeks went by way to quick. I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Beach Property.
This listing was everything as advertised. I couldn't have asked for more besides maybe a dock to have the boat guys pick us up. The beach at this property is very nice! The house itself is immensely beautiful! I would totally stay here again.

A wonderful get-away property for the whole family
The home helped make our trip to Belize very memorable. The property is beautiful, well-kept and clean. The rooms are spacious, airy and bright. The infinity pool was a huge hit with everyone and the beach/ocean at the doorstep was wonderful - falling asleep listening to the lapping waves was pretty easy to get used to!
The wifi was also pretty solid - this was important as we still had to get some work done while on vacation.
We also appreciated the walking distance to restaurants, the ice cream shop and Jaguar Lanes was a huge hit!
And Jack with the property management company was extremely helpful, friendly and responsive.
Highly recommend.

Wonderful Week!
Family of four (my husband and I and my son and his wife) enjoyed our stay. The pool was awesome and we had kayaks delivered for our stay which were used daily. No air downstairs took some getting used to especially on the days where there wasn’t much breeze but we adjusted. The location and good restaurants in walking distance were great. Many thanks to the owners and great management for answering our questions. It was a wonderful home away from home. The catamaran trip with Nautical Adventures was the cherry on top. Great group and definitely recommend to everyone,
