A beautiful craftsman-style home with water views, comfort and character! This three story house features six bedrooms, three bathrooms, ample common spaces, and fully outfitted kitchen. Each of the three living areas (one of which has a gas fireplace) is fully wired for sound with stereos, turntables, and records. Just minutes from Portland's Old Port, the house commands sweeping water views of Casco Bay and the Presumpscot River. There is plenty of on-site parking. We wanted a place for a multigenerational family gathering and this was perfect! Single level living for the oldest with only a few steps to get in. Plenty of parking and loads to do both in and near the house with easy access to all.

A very comfortable place to stay with 7 adults and 2 babies. Kitchens well equipped and lots of space to spread out. We loved the hot tub and watching the 4th of July fireworks from our front yard. 30-min walk to Mackworth Island which we enjoyed.

We had 14 people of friends and family, some that had never met. There was an abundance of room living spaces bathrooms. Everyone had plenty of space we had a great time.

The location was great for easy access to Portland without being in the bustle of the city. Home was close to a busy road (Alexa’s music was a nice choice to drown out the road noise). Hot tub was wonderful, but not very accessible from main part of house and although it was fenced for privacy, the neighbor’s property looked right into it. Nice hiking trails nearby. Our favorite feature was the beautiful fireplace which we used every night when gathering to play games as a family. Homeowner was helpful and responsive to questions.

Or big family of 9 including 2 toddlers loved this beautiful home. The separated living spaces made it easy to gather even when the babies were sleeping without disturbing them. Meghan was so thoughtful and quick to communicate when I had concerns about Hurricane Lee. They even gathered up flashlights and put them all in a basket on the kitchen table so we’d have them handy if the power went out! Thanks for a great stay!

This property was perfect for our family trip. We had plenty of room to spread out. This property has games for all ages, beach chairs, toys, and towels. The kitchen was the perfect place to cook meals. The hot tub was wonderful. The location is only 10 minutes from the airport. I have had several texts with the owner and they have been great. I can’t say enough good things about this property!

This lovely old Maine home, with its modern updates, was very much as our family of 12 pictured. The bedrooms were large and the house was well supplied. Our four granddaughters (ages 2 through 11) referred to it as “The Mansion” and were so excited to have private areas to talk and play. Everyone loved being able to watch sailboats and wildlife out our front windows and it was a great area to get in a morning walk. Even though we were on the go, visiting as much of the area as we could each day, we loved relaxing in the hot tub/ patio area in the evenings. The location was another huge asset. Proximity to the interstate, grocery stores, coffee shops, and all of the downtown port areas was perfect! (The airport was 11 minutes away.) We highly recommend Portland and this beautiful home. These Cornhuskers hope to return some day!

I stayed here with a large group of friends and this space perfectly accommodated us. There are 3 main sections of the house: downstairs with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath; main floor with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath; upstairs with full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath. The hot tub and outside patio area was AWESOME! Highly recommend staying here.

We rented this entire home for 4 small families to use, and it was absolutely perfect, with multiple areas to lounge. Both kitchens are very well equipped; beds are very comfortable; and the hot tub was lovely after a long day of hiking (or shopping, for some of us.) Proximity to major highways made it easy for us to get to Portland and Freeport. The morning view out onto the bay was magical. We would love to stay at this property again. 10/10!

We were very impressed by this property. The owners thought of everything including bathrobes and slippers for the hot tub. The house was bigger then we expected and we had plenty of room to spread out over three floors. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time in Portland -- this home was charming and huge, it easily fit 10 adult women! It felt like there were 3 separate wings. The hottub was big and nice and you could see water on both sides. A 7 minute uber to downtown Portland—super convenient and beautiful location.

This house has terrific character and was very comfortable for all. We were a group of 7 women and all had separate rooms except 2. The beds were very comfortable, the house clean and neat, the kitchen easy to manage making our stay quite easy. The house is an easy access to Portland; less than 10 minutes to most locations. A few of us felt slightly claustrophobic in the basement rooms. It would have been nice to have screens on their windows to open for fresh air. We all enjoyed our stay and were happy with the home and location. The owners were available if needed and accommodating. Thank you for keeping a historic house true to its heritage.

This house was amazing! We were three families, with six kids, ranging in age from 6-12, and everyone loved their stay and had lots of room to spread out. The location could not have been more perfect for taking in downtown Portland. The pictures do not do this place justice. The home is simply gorgeous and the hosts thought of everything. They thoughtfully left out so many generous provisions and were so responsive and lovely. Would highly recommend this house! To our hosts - Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

This property is ideally set up to facilitate great family time with a large group. With kitchens and living rooms on two floors the ability to spread out was great. Check-in and check out easy and good communication with the property owner. There was fairly significant road construction in front of the property ( not the fault of the owner) that seems to be long term and on going and somewhat detracted from the overall appearance and vibe. I would have rated 5 stars across the board otherwise.

Comfortable get away. I was very pleased with the veranda house Accommodations. Except for a few plumbing problems, they were easily resolved with Meghans prompt attention to them. Also, from the pictures I was expecting the outdoor furniture and Jacuzzi to be on a deck. Although the house was located on a busy street you could not hear the traffic. Also it should be labeled Waterview not waterfront. On the plus side I was very amazed with all the accommodations within the house from toiletries to a full kitchen of spices. I brought a piano music to play however the piano was not tuned. I suspect it was there for aesthetic reasons. All in all, our family had a great vacation and the house provided a great place for our family gathering. I wouldRecommend this house for a large family gathering. Thank you

Meghan's unique property worked well for our family of 12! From grandparents in their 70s, to parents in their 30s & 40s, & from teens to a toddler, we stayed in the entire Craftsman home. Loved having: 1 huge gathering table 2 kitchens, stoves, fridges, washers, dryers 3 bathrooms 4 living areas Lots of bedrooms Bonus: Hot tub was a huge hit!

We stayed here for a bachelorette party and had the best time! It was a huge snow storm so we did not get to go out much in Portland, but the house had so much to offer! Even with crazy winds the hot tub was amazing and the fireplace so cozy! The large dining table and kitchen nook were perfect for playing games! We already say we want to go back with our husbands! Thank you Megan and Jim!

the house, the host and all the little details of this property are amazing! there were 12 of us and we never got in anyones way getting ready for a wedding, so big! But we made the time to hang out in living room by fireplace or lounging in the back sipping wine by the hot tub! we cant wait to go back!

This property was a great find for us in Portland! Megan was easy to communicate with and the property was just as described in the listing. The multi-level layout worked really well for our group of adult friends in town for a wedding. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfy! Overall the house was in great condition and great location convenient to Portland center/Old Port. A lot of amenities were provided such as toilet paper, paper towels, linens, etc. And included a nice welcome book about the property. The property owner was also very responsive to any other questions during our check in as well.

We stayed at this property July 2021. It was perfect for our family of 12! We especially loved the kitchen/dining area on the first floor! We were able to comfortably gather and have family game nights. The property is well maintained and was very clean. Location is perfect for getting to all the sights in Portland and neighboring sites. Meghan was very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely rent from her again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was big enough for our group of 12 to spread out. Meghan had it stocked with so many extras (kitchen gadgets and condiments, towels, pillows, toiletries and even robes for the hot tub). The location was great, 5-10 minutes to get into the old port area. I would definitely stay there again.
