Summary:
Large old fashion apartment on the main high street! You can't ask for a better location!
It is a very nice, old fashion, large flat with fully equipped kitchen. Two large bedrooms, large living room, kitchen and a bathroom.

It is a very nice, old fashion, large flat with fully equipped kitchens. Two large bedrooms, large living room, kitchen and a bathroom.

Great apartment in an extremely nice location. It has two large bedrooms that both have two great 90 cm beds that can either be put together or separate. Then there is a large living room.

You will have full access to everything that is in the flat and that you can see on the pictures including a fully equipped kitchen!

I try to meet most guests that come but sometimes it can be hard. There is a key-box so it is very easy to get in at any time. Then I am also available via phone or email.

It is right downtown. You have almost everything within 10 minute walking distance, including shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, swimming pools etc. There is some noise from the street on Fridays and Saturdays if there is something happening in town.

Public transport from here is very good. The main bus station is within 5 minute walk.

There is also a less than a 10 minute walk to the airport bus.

There is free parking within 5 minute walking distance. Then there is most of the time available parking on the streets in front of the apartment.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole apartment. Everything within the apartment is private and for you to use at your convenience.

Getting Around:
There is no free parking in this neighbourhood as it is on the main shopping street but there is some paid parking close by that is free overnight

Other Things to Note:
Cots, cribs, high seats and other children/baby furniture are available upon request.

Important note! In Iceland beer, wine and liquor is only sold in one chain of stores called "Vínbúðin" (apart from restaurants and bars).

The washing machine and dryer are located in the basement of the building and are shared with 2 other apartments.

The hosts were great to communicate with. The apartment had large rooms, was very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was near great shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again! Thanks!

Stayed for 3 nights on stopover coming home from Italy. Would have loved to stay longer. Only thing that could have made it better was an included parking space-but walked a few blocks to the garage! Would love to return!!!!

This 2 bedroom appt was exactly what our family needed in a perfect location in downtown. The size of the appt is very comfortable with 2 separate bedrooms plus a living room, bathroom and kitchen. The communication from the property managers was fantastic and the check-in and check out process was very convenient with it all being contactless and using digital door codes. We’d definitely stay here again.

I had booked this apartment for the night before our arrival so our family would come from our early morning flight and rest without having to wait to check in that afternoon. Unfortunately the property managers gave us a code that didn’t open the apartment door. I had to pay for a room at a nearby hotel for my kids to sleep while I walked 30 minutes to a phone store to get a sim card so that I could call the property management team. The next day two other pairs of guests were waiting in the hallways unable to get into their apartments with the codes they were sent. Now the property managers are refusing to reimburse me for that first nights’ payment. Making a quick buck for a poor job and no service!! The people who answered the phones for questions were unfamiliar with the things in the apartment after that- unable to help us figure out how to work the stove top (hold down 2 buttons at once). The shower was a bit gross snd the back stairs to the laundry room was dark and creepy. I don’t expect things to be perfect, but refusing the refund the first night, not even responding to my first two requests! - ruined the experience of this apartment. Hotel Von down the street was much more hospitable when we needed a place to stay. I’d recommend that instead!

The apartment was as pictured, clean, comfortable and well stocked. It is in the heart of city center with restaurants, bars, attractions and shopping within easy walking distance. We loved our stay here and are very happy with choose this apartment for our four nights in Reykjavík. Note this is a third-floor walkup which may not work for those with limited mobility. Also read up on parking in the city before arrival so that you are prepared. We had no issues parking once we understood how the parking system worked.

Reviews like this are embarrassingly easy—PERFECT! If pressed for more,... ABSOLUTELY perfect! What to say about a simply gorgeous, bright, airy, spacious apartment in the bustling pedestrian center of Reykjavik. It was perfectly and conveniently situated with immediate access to shops, restaurants, coffee houses, and bars. We did a lot of tours and it was so easy to walk to the designated pickup point (Bus Stop #6). We were about to park our car a few blocks away (in front of a fun public pool) at no cost (which was great!). Everything ran smoothly with our stay (two adults and two teens) and everything we needed was either in-the-ready or efficiently and clearly communicated. If you're looking for a charming, comfortable, homey, third floor home as a launch pad to Reykjavik and Iceland in general, you can do no better than Laugavegur. Again, it's easy to review,... PERFECT!

We visited Iceland in July, and used the apartment as a home base. We were 5 adults, there was plenty of space. The location was terrific- within walking distance to the main cathedral, shops, restaurants and bus stops. We had trouble with the key codes-on the first day- but the rental agent solved the problem in less than 30 minutes. We were very pleased with the rental and will look to stay here again on mount next trip to Iceland.

Great great location!!! But no microwave. No hairdryer. Please add to this property. No point if a kitchen without microwave; hairdryer seems pretty standard. But the decor was nice/modern and you cannot beat the location. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you. Merry Christmas.

The property has an excellent location this is where the pedestrian mall starts. Parking is a pick tricky look it up online, there is a phone app that you can use, very helpful. Apartment was spacious but only 1 towel per person for 8 days? No microwave, no toaster. Code to enter apartment didnt work, couldnt reach the owners, back up caretaker was reluctant to come and let us in. Went to leave and we asked for a key to get back in as the code didnt work, gave us a ring of keys and rushed away. Weird. No instructions as to what to do with the garbage or recyclables. Overall communication poor.

The property was exactly as described and perfect for us. It is in the center of all the action in Reykjavik which made it easy for us to walk anywhere. The only downside is that it is a third-floor walk-up which wasn't a problem for us but would be for someone with mobility issues. We loved everything about the apartment and were very comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Appartment was cute and spacious, and could not be in a better location for experiencing Reykjavik. We were worried about possible nightlife noise but the windows were good quality and kept everything quiet. We enjoyed being steps away from several great restaurants, including a popular bakery and ice cream shop. And the beds may have been the most comfortable we've had in a VRBO. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay! The accommodations were clean, minus a few crumbs on the kitchen floor. The apartment is amazingly quiet for being right in the heart of the shopping district. Fabulous restaurants in walking distance, both near and far. We loved everything about this place. The beds were some of the best we have experienced in renting a space! The staff was responsive and helpful at all times.

This place was perfect on the pedestrian street! A fabulous and convenient location We did not eat in the place but the kitchen seemed well stocked. Bring earplugs if church bells bother you while sleeping. Also they don’t provide many hand towels or any wash clothes. Just some minor information to be aware. Would absolutely stay again

Spacious and nicely appointed apartment with loads of character and charm. We liked the self-check-in as our flight came in at 0600am. The rooms were quite large for a rental, and the location is absolutely perfect for seeing Reykjavik by foot: restaurants, bars and sights all steps from your doorway. We had a rental car and never had an issue finding street parking nearby. Kitchen had everything you need. Cleanliness was a little spotty, we found food crumbs on the coffee table and floor, and fridge had a musty smell, food left behind in the freezer. Other than that, the place was great... we would definitely rent here again.
