About this house rental
Bayfront location in Belmont Shore. Extra large patio with two tables/umbrellas. BBQ with the gas grill while watching the paddle boarders, boaters and sun bathers on the bay. Two paddle boards and one kayak available and included AT NO CHARGE. Large flat screen with Direct TV in living room. Has assigned parking, which is very desirable and rare for the area. Short walk to the shops and restaurants on 2nd street, Belmont Shore. Great people watching and fantastic sunrise from the unit. Bayshore ave is closed to vehicular traffic from June 15 to Sept 15, 9 am to 5pm daily, creating a large "boardwalk" condition directly in front of the property. Please do not bring any undisclosed pets to the property for ANY amount of time as a $500 charge will be incurred.

Definitely a deep cleaning.
The matress' are soft. The box springs are noisy when you move.
The kitchen seems like a bachelor pad.

Best view and location. Place was very clean. Only issue is parking if you have more than one vehicle. Enjoyed the morning view with a cup of coffee on the patio. Great place to relax. Would definitely stay again.

Exactly as described.. My sister and I enjoyed our stay on the bay. The rental was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the proximity to 2nd street made for an easy walk to restraunts.

A quick girls' trip and it was the perfect location. Restaurants, shops, and bars are all nearby. The beach is literally across the street and everyone is so friendly.
Definitely an outdated unit but we were there for the outdoors, so we did not mind at all.

I came down to move my daughter into college and I usually stay at the embassy suites in Orange. I decided to find a place on the beach where she can ditch me all she wants and be with friends.
Although she visited me daily. My dog and I were so happy here that it didn’t matter.
The home is very clean, cozy and comfortable beds. The homes best feature is it’s location! The beach is literally in your backyard. Walking distance to ocean. Waves. Stones throw to the bay. Where we had a blast paddle boarding, supplied by the owner. Everyone we met was beyond welcoming. The host was amazing. Returned my text immediately !! I had all my questions answered and all my expectations met, and beyond. The home was so amazing that my husband and daughter came late in the stay for one night. None of us wanted to leave. In fact. I did leave a piece of my heart here.

Great place and property. Only complaint is the mattress in the larger room is extremely loud and squeaky. Made it hard to sleep trying to roll over.

Great place
We have rented John’s fine place 4 times over the past year. The location is perfect for enjoying the bay, walking to 2nd St. restaurants and shops or just enjoying the beautiful front patio. We will be back soon!

Older property slightly rundown does provide all the comforts of a home but terribly overpriced for the age of the home beautiful area and the host was quite responsive and helpful checkin and checkout was unproblematic would stay again if I got a better deal

Perfect vacation
This was exactly what I was looking for to relax and enjoy my stay. I was born and raised in Long Beach. I remember coming here as a child and young adult and enjoy Belmont Shores. I will be returning very soon.

The views from the sliding doors overlooking the water were amazing! Clean property, with easy check in process. The owner was helpful and quick to reply to any questions we had during our stay. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful location
Location was perfect. We were traveling with my parents who are 88 and 86, and they had a great time sitting on the patio watching the activity on the bay. John was responsive to our needs, he quickly sent a repairman out to fix the shower which wasn't working well, and immediately answered any questions we had--including letting us check in earlier than the 4 pm check in. The living room was roomy and comfortable with great windows. It was great to have a washer and drier and a well equipped kitchen. Easy walk to restaurants and shops on 2nd St. Would stay there again.

Second time staying
This was our second time staying here. We really love this spot because of the location. Beautiful view of the water and is a short walk to the beach. John is a great host and has a kayak and two paddleboards for use. We took out the paddleboards and had a great time.

Perfect location!
Our family of 4 adults and 2 kids enjoyed our weekend. John is an amazing host and responded to all our questions within the hour. The house is small, but perfect for our family. Kids had the best time since the beach is just across the street. We hope to be back again soon!

Absolutely Perfect Location
While the majority of our group stayed in a hotel up the street or with family in Seal Beach this was the best meet up spot with the outdoor patio. SO MUCH going on right out the door. The paddle boards, kayaks, and bikes were used non stop. The bbq’s were great. Had an absolutely fabulous time!

The house is in the best location across the street from the beach and walking distance to so many restaurants and stores. It was better than I expected. We had so much fun on the paddle boards that came with the rental. It was very clean as soon as we walked in . Spacious rooms. An older home but kept up nicely. Neighbors are friendly. Perfect Bayside Location
We're giving this a five star review for four primary reasons: 1) The location is just amazing; 2) Having a kayak and two paddle boards at our disposal was awesome; 3) We were thankful for the designated parking spot; and 4) The owner was really responsive and nice. My family of five just loved the fact that we could simply walk across the street to the Bayside Beach bay and enjoy the kayak and two paddle boards provided with this rental. The large patio is wonderful for relaxing, eating meals, people watching, and just taking in the view. We had the following positive interaction with the owner: He quickly resolved a stopped up kitchen sink (a previous guest had somehow lodged glass shards in the garbage disposal); he immediately refunded our pet fee when we found a pet sitter at the last minute and ended up leaving our dog at home; and we were able to meet the owner during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed a long friendly conversation.
Full disclosure - yes, as other reviews have noted, the unit is a bit older and some of the dishes could have been cleaner, but all of the positive traits eclipse the small stuff. Five stars - we had an amazing time here!

Perfect location
Property was the perfect location for our little family getaway. Right across from the bay, 2 min from The big beach and food on 2nd street. The patio was perfect for relaxing and people watching. The check in/ out was so easy and the host John was nice and easy to contact.

Great location
Location is perfect. We just hung out on the patio and took advantage of the Kayak and paddle boards. Neighbors on both sides and above are long term residents and were all very nice and happy to impart local knowledge. The owner stoped by the first morning to make sure we had everything and to answer any questions. He was also very quick to respond to questions. The unit is old (only reason it’s not 5 star) but clean and spacious. You are paying for the patio, view and water access and they do not disappoint! We would definitely come again.

Great location, typical beach place
It's a good location that is close to everything. It's an easily walkable/bikeable area, and there's a very easy place out back to lock up bikes. We had some trouble getting in (the electric lock didn't work), so the owner had to come over and literally break down the front door. However, he had someone over the next day to patch it. The beds are comfortable, but the couches are not. There are some things that could definitely be better quality (ie a functional shower curtain), but overall it was spacious and comfortable. Because of the beach proximity, it's loud, especially during the weekend days, but it's a great view. It's a typical beach place- outdated but clean.

Don’t waste your $$$$
This place was a dump...... The tenant upstairs is rude he says it’s pet friendly but the tenant upstairs is not pet friendly.
Nothing worked in this house the stove didn’t work while I was staying he wanted to bring his handyman in which he did one time. I insisted that I would not entertain another Handyman while I was there, rude and inconsiderate.
No TVs in the bedrooms none of the windows open his furniture is yet to be desired nothing of comfort.
I have never sat on couch so uncomfortable.
The inside is old and decrepit!!!!!

Little paradise in Long Beach
This little beach house was cozy, comfortable and relaxing. Our family of 6 and a dog, had a FABULOUS time in Belmont Shores! The location is amazing! Alamitos Bay, Rosie's Dog Beach, 2nd Street restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. We had the pleasure of meeting John (the owner) who is super nice and was very responsive to our emails. The neighbors were very welcoming and nice as well. Bonus...the onsite paddle boards, kayak and designated parking spot. We will definitely be back for another visit.
