Very clean home, nice property. Sits on a very very steep driveway- great parking but don’t plan on pulling a trailer up the driveway - way to steep.

This property was perfect for our stay of 4 adults. Everything was as advertised. Penny reached out several times during our stay to be sure all was good.
The views from each room were lovely and the porches were perfect for drinking coffee.
We will definitely return to this lovely home.

We stayed here with some good friends for race weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. The house was just perfect for our two families. There was plenty of room and it was well appointed. We enjoyed and fire in the fire pit the first night, where we met the neighbors dog. He was so sweet and we all wanted to take him home. The house is conveniently located near the track. The area is very quiet, which we loved. We will be back.

We came down for the race to relax and to golf and did all three with comfort, the house is as pictured its quiet awesome veiws, we saw deer every evening had fires overall great experience.

We stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The house was big and clean. The land and location were beautiful. The neighbour has an adorable and friendly dog that my daughters loved playing with outside for hours. Will definitely come back again.

What a great place to be with your family. The house was spacious and very nicely furnished. The host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Loved the big kitchen and the views were incredible. Would highly recommend this house for a family getaway!

Had the pleasure of staying here over a BMS race weekend. Penny was easy to reach and communicative before and during the stay. The house is conveniently located (roughly 15 minutes to BMS with raceday traffic), was nicely equipped (including a snack basket!), and had everything we needed for our stay. WiFi was good enough to support a couple kids streaming with no issues. Would happily stay again.

Quiet Country Stay
My family and I absolutely loved our stay at John and Penny's property. It was so spacious, so clean, and had everything we needed. Only 15 minutes to Bristol and 20 minutes to Holston Lake. The best part was the view from the screened in porch as we watched a storm pass through. We are very grateful that we found their place to stay!

Family Wedding Trip
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and Penny was great at checking on us. We enjoyed the view from the porch and one of our party even caught a trout. We would recommend this wonderful spot to others!

The home itself is spotless and spacious and up on a hill with views of the mountains beyond the river. My husband and I had a quiet, relaxing vacation fishing, reading, taking walks and roasting marshmallows under the stars. Be aware that the access to the river right across the road from the home is a bit of a steep climb, but there are other access points nearby and guides for the fisherman who wants to learn more about the river.

Great spacious house!
We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. The bedrooms are so spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The view is gorgeous and so close to all the shopping necessary for a great vacation rental Communication was excellent with the owner too.

Great property for anglers
We had the best time during our stay. Great location, in great shape, all the amenities an angler needs, really can't ask for more. Will definitely stay again for our next fishing trip to the area if its available.

Super nice hosts, lovely location
This house is situated between Johnson City and Bristol, giving convenient access to both. We weren’t there to fish, but having the South Holston River across the street was still lovely. The hosts were super responsive when we had an issue getting a channel on the TV and we got it worked out right away.
Only 2 things to note: there was a bit of a smoky smell from the fireplace and the 2 queen room is the master. The listing probably said that but I wasn’t paying attention. Just pointing it out for future guests. Overall we enjoyed our time here.

Cozy Cabin
The cozy cabin was nestled next to the roaring Holsten River. The cabin was very clean and provided all the comforts we needed for our stay. We enjoyed watching the deer visit every morning while drinking our coffee on the screened in porch. We definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet break.

Our 4th of July getaway was simply wonderful! The property was amazing, cleanliness was a huge factor and this definitely met the standards. The host were very accommodating and made the process super easy. I would recommend this property to anyone and would surely stay again. It’s close enough to everything but also far away enough to have peace and quiet!
