Featuring 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms within its three heart-pine floors, this grand country home is nestled among the oaks with tidal creek views. Set on deep water, you will find a spacious dock with the Sea Swallow moored alongside room to tie on the other 20’ side.
Within its walls, there is plenty of room for the whole family or a whole gaggle of your best pals with beds - 1 king, 4 queens, 3 twins and 1 pull-out sofa - to comfortably sleep up to 13 guests. An open-concept home designed to be shared, the bedrooms are well separated with each having its own bath.
Originally built in 1970, our family has proudly owned this Rockville property since 1986. A true gathering home, we’ve enjoyed countless family reunions, celebrations and getaways hallmarked by water skiing, crabbing, fishing, swimming, kayaking and gazebo jumps (rights of passage…) all off her deep water dock. It is our joy to share this pristine, peaceful escape with you and yours.

NO ADDITIONS: No fixtures or appliances shall be installed without the prior written consent of Owner. 6. REPAIRS/INSPECTION: Owner or Owner’s agents shall have access to the leased premises to make necessary repairs. Owner will use its best efforts to provide reasonable notice of any such access. 7. REPAIR REFUNDS: Appliances and amenities are not guaranteed, and refunds will not be given due to breakdown. Repairs will be made by the Owner as soon as practical. 8. SIGHT UNSEEN RENTALS: Tenant should make every effort to pre-inspect the property before executing Lease. Otherwise, Tenant acknowledges and agrees to accept the property in its condition upon commencement of the Lease sight unseen. Pictures on VRBO taken within 8 months or no changes have been made and depicted as picture. 9. LINEN: Owner shall furnish blankets, linens and towels which Tenant shall not remove from the leased premises. 10. RENTABILITY: If the leased premises is destroyed by fire or acts of God so as to be unfit for occupancy either prior to or during the term of the lease, the Owner shall return any prorated share of unused time that may have been paid in advance. The lease shall not terminate as a result of cosmetic or inoperable non-essential appliances. 11. SUBLETTING: The Tenant shall not be permitted to sublet or assign this lease agreement without the written consent of the Owner. 12. DEFAULT: Any default by the Tenant under the terms and conditions of this lease, including but not limited to the failure to pay rent, shall result in the termination of this lease at the option of the Owner and the premises must be vacated immediately with no refund to Tenant. If damage has been done to the leased premises in an amount in excess of any rent or security deposit paid, Tenant shall also be liable for any such damage. 13. CANCELLATION: All cancellations will first fall in policy as set by site. If not within those dates, all requests by the Tenant to cancel this lease must be made in writing. Upon notice of a desire to cancel, Owner shall use its best efforts to re-rent the leased premises. All pre-paid rents or deposits shall be held by Owner until the leased premises are re-rented at the full rental price. If the property is re-rented for the full rental amount, Tenant shall receive a refund of all pre-paid rents or deposits. If the property rents for less then the full rental amount, Tenant shall receive a refund of all pre-paid rents and deposits, less the difference between Tenant’s rental amount of the new rental amount. Prices are not lowered until we are a couple weeks out, at which time, we try to lower the price to allow for better chance to rent and to allow some sort of refund. 14. ACCEPTANCE: This lease must be agreed to which means, by booking, you agree to the terms and conditions of this lease. 15. SECURITY DEPOSIT: The security deposit should be considered with total rent due when considering deposit due. Deposit will be refunded by Owner and released to the Tenant after the property has been inspected and in accordance with applicable law UNLESS THE OWNER PROVIDES TENANT WITH WRITTEN NOTICE OF DAMAGE OR OTHER REASONS TO WITHHOLD A RETURN OF THE DEPOSIT WITHIN FOURTEEN (14) DAYS OF THE LEASE TERMINATION DATE. The security deposit shall not be deemed a limit on Tenant’s liability to Owner for any damage to the premises or otherwise. 16. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS: Do not leave food of any kind outside. For safety reasons, do not sit or lean on the 2nd or 3rd floor piazza railings. Supervise children at all times while on the piazzas. Tenant and his/her guests assume all liability when occupying the piazzas. Please leave doors and windows closed whenever possible due to habitual insects and flying bugs. Any items for use with property should be listed on the site and may need a liability waiver, so waiver must be signed before use of any item on property like kayaks or water items if listed with property. 17. My husband and two grandchildren, ages 8 and 5 had SO much fun in this home! The house is older, yet charming, well furnished, very clean, organized and well equipped with everything needed. We fished, crabbed, threw cast nets, swam and took our boat out on the pristine creek. The nearby islands were a short boat ride away. It was so peaceful, the view was absolutely gorgeous. Having raised our family enjoying all the low country waters have to offer, we were able to share it with our grandchildren. It far exceeded our expectations, we would love to rent this home again. The host was easily reached and entry was no problem.

We enjoyed the setting for our son’s wedding. The cottage is large and has such a nice atmosphere. Lots of space to spread out and the waterfront is gorgeous. Sunsets were outstanding. The kitchen was well equipped, including an extra refrigerator and a separate large freezer. The age of the building shows and can either add to its charm or distract depending on your expectations. It could be cleaner based on the fees that are charged but it was sufficient for us.

Great waterfront house!
We had a great week with 13 people from 4 families gathering together from various parts of the country. We loved hanging out at the gazebo on the dock - the sea breeze made it comfortable at almost all hours of the day! Swimming at high tide was great (be careful of the current!). We paddleboarded and kayaked around the river almost every day. Fishing was great - we caught a 2 foot shark one day! Charleston is a quick 40 minute drive.
The house was very comfortable. It is showing its age a bit, but overall a great place. Beds were comfortable - and there was plenty of space for 13 of us to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked. The yard and porch were great! We had a great stay and would come back in a heartbeat!

If the owners get the cleaning and repair needs taken care of, this will be a fantastic rental. It's a beautiful setting with awesome sunsets, great trees, a large, lovely porch, and great living spaces. Manager is very attentive.

Beautiful relaxing vacation
We had a great stay with family, including two small children. Everyone loved the dock and the river. Plenty of space for family group of 9. The property is showing a few signs of aging but no serious problems with the facilities. Easy communication with the property manager. A bit of a drive if you are heading to the beach. Unfortunate that the normal boat rental facility had all of its boats under repair. I would highly recommend as a location to relax, fish, and boat on the river. Not hard to drive into Charleston.

Southern Charm
Everything you would want off the beaten deep water path. Magnificent oaks. Rented a boat for the week from Bohicket marina and kept at the dock. Daily oyster roast and shrimp boil with all necessary supplies available including the shucking table. Great for an extended family trip

Extraordinary property
We had the most amazing thanksgiving at this house. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us and our dog. The kitchen is huge and well stocked for a family that loves to cook. And the screened in porch was the perfect gathering place for meals and socializing in the time of COVID. The property is gorgeous and sunrise and sunset on Bohicket Creek was a treat every day. We will definitely rent this property again for future gatherings!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home and were very pleased with the layout. The pier was very nice and we loved being outdoors. The only recommendation I would have is to put a lock on the doors adjoining the bedrooms downstairs.

great getaway for watersport fans
beautiful home on quiet creek. when you get tired of kayaking, fishing, shrimping, crabbing or boating, turn to bocce, table tennis or horseshoes to work up an appetite for a meal prepared in the gourmet kitchen. turning the pages of a good book on the spacious (understatement) screened in porch also qualifies as vacation-worthy 'work' to earn your spot at the dinner table. wish we could have stayed longer!

Great location for a family get together.
Even on the hot summer days of July, it was always pleasant outside because of the shade of the huge Oak trees, the coastal breezes, and the screened balcony and the open porch, and the gazebo and dock on Adams Creek. A really unique setting for a laid back low country experience. Don't miss a late night walk out to the dock to see stars you may never have seen before.

Great Escape!
We have stayed at this house every Memorial Day weekend for the last 9 years. We've enjoyed the charm and the space with family and kids as they've grown up. The dock is great, and we've spent countless hours swimming and crabbing. It can easily sleep 3 couples plus kids (you can definitely have 4 couples or more with no kids!). We've always enjoyed the large open living spaces and many meals we've cooked in this house. The sun set is one of the best. Long story short, this is the kind of place where you can wash away a bit of the modern rat race and enjoy the water, country living, and have a good time!

We found the currents to be a bit too strong for water activities, but the setting was quiet and peaceful and the view—-totally amazing. Could easily hold 2 families. Jamie was awesome!

Expansive Marsh Views!
Gorgeous home on the marsh with expansive views of marsh low country and sky. We have been staying on John's Island (mostly at Kiawah) for 20 years, and this was by far my favorite. The home is beautifully decorated and in excellent condition. It was a little distance to the beach but the drive is so pretty with winding roads and large overhanging oak trees with Spanish Moss. Excellent Stay!

What a pleasurable week, we'll definitely be back
We had such a great time. We really appreciate the owners making their home and boats/gear available for us to use. You usually don't find that with rentals. We brought our small sailboat, and had so much fun sailing, shrimping, kayaking, crabbing and fishing. I spent 90% of my time out on the dock, even shrimping in the rain. The kids played outside the entire time, and thoroughly enjoyed everything. We'll be back in the summer so we can do a little swimming too. Thank you again.

We had a wonderful time at this Snoqualmie Pass home. The kitchen is fully stocked - you will not need to bring anything! There is plenty of room and a fun game room downstairs. There are many movies and xbox games to play too. You will NOT be disappointed in your stay! Great location - minutes to the ski slopes. This was our second time here and we will back again!

The home is great with plenty of room for some to find space alone and yet large enough spaces to enjoy time together as a larger group. There was nine of us. This home offers a country setting in Rockville on Wadmalaw island but yet close enough to Chatleston to enjoy all the big city has to offer and the beach is only 25 minutes away as well. Everyone enjoyed the dock with kayaks, boat and swimming/fishing. We would love to come back if we have the opportunity.

Enchanting sunsets in a fabulous home with the perfect location!
We were able to stay for a long weekend in Wadmalaw, and we could not have been happier! The house is gorgeous and the location is FIVE STAR! The view of the sunset through that massive, twisting live oak from that amazing porch so close to the water's edge is just breathtaking! The home was clean, the furnishings are lovely as well as comfortable and more than your average rental. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, and having 2 refrigerators and a freezer was a huge plus! Bedrooms are both beautiful and comfortable as well as spread out, so everyone enjoyed their private time. The common areas are large and comfortable with plenty of space and a seat for everyone. The children especially enjoyed the play things available inside and out - toys, swings, a huge porch and a lovely garden lawn to romp on by the water. We enjoyed watching the dolphins swim by every day and catching crabs with the crab trap provided. A special surprise was watching the shrimp boats next door come in in the morning. The kids loved watching them dock and it drew a large flock of gulls and pelicans. Just spectacular! It was quite a sight for everyone.
The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. It is evident this home is well loved and maintained and they made us feel very welcome. I regret we weren't there long enough to enjoy the boats and bikes provided, but we will definitely return for a longer stay and bring more of the family back with us! This is the perfect spot for a large family vacation. Highly recommended!
