About this house rental

Perched above the westside of Lake Shawnigan you will find this lovely bright, spacious home with splendid views of the lake and Mt. Baldy. Walk down the path two sitting areas over looking the dock and swim area and continue on to a large dock reaching out into deep enough water for any boat on the lake. The dock is complete with covered boat parking stall.

This home boasts three bedrooms each with a full bathroom, one of each located on the main entry level with only one small step into home for ease of access. The master suite which is located on the lower level is splashed with a beautiful sunrise from across the lake, thru the double doors every morning and has a queen bed, walk-in-closet and private ensuite with heated tile floor, bathtub and separate shower. Also on the lower is a large family room and third bedroom with bunkbed and single bed for up to three to sleep.

The home has all the modern amenities you would expect from a high end home, including granite countertops, cable tv internet, netflixs access thru smart tv's, dvd player, full laundry, gas fireplace, and wood stove. There is also a paddle boat and kayak for water play.

All rentals to be paid by credit card, full cost of booking and cleaning fee. Damage deposit is collected separately and will be returned within one week of rental ending.

Minimum rental age is 30 years old, No pets, No smoking.

Last year, my 60 yo sister reunited with her childhood crush, first true love. After a year of long distance dating, it was clear they were destined to be together. They called and invited our small family to gather and celebrate their civil ceremony. I originally booked the Shawnigan Lake house as lodging, but it was so beautiful and comfortable that it became their venue for the intimate family affair. The “ones who got away” exchanged their vows on the terrace and we will all be forever bonded to this magical place.

This property was great for our family. We enjoyed making dinners, hanging out on the dock, and exploring the area around the lake. The photos didn’t do this place justice. The view was amazing, the house is well-maintained and clean, had all the amenities we needed, the beds were comfortable, and overall a comfortable stay.

Highly recommend as a lakeside gettaway. Home is beautiful, super clean, very spacious, and well appointed. Wonderful indoor and outdoor areas to relax. Short steps down to multiple terraced sitting areas and then the large dock where we spent most of our time. six adults fit easily and we felt like we had ample space, with each bedroom essentially having its own bathroom. Enjoyed the paddle boards. Would LOVE to return.

Wow. This is a wonderful cabin on Shawnigan Lake! Beautiful views and very private. The location is great, very quiet in a lovely neighbourhood. The cabin is bright, open, well equipped with comfortable beds and lots of space. The dock and grounds are amazing. Really can't say enough. The owner was very accomodating and easy to deal with. Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing this beautiful property.

The photos don’t do this location any justice, it is very nice, plenty of room for our family. The dock and lake were by far our favourite spots. Lots of places to explore and nice to have the kayak and paddle boards. Close to town if you need supplies. We’ll be back……

This was our second visit using this residence as a home base for a rowing competition on Shawnigan Lake. There was plenty of room and a big enough kitchen that 2 families could be in and out for meal prep all weekend. The view was gorgeous, and it is only 1.5 kms to the West Shawnigan Lake Provincial Park which allowed for walking to and from when needed. We hope to be back again next year!

We chose this property because it was lakefront and had good reviews. It is awesome. Lots of space and it has the real cabin feel. Campfires overlooking the lake. A private dock. The owner was very pleasant to deal with. Couldn’t ask for more.

This property is absolutely perfect for a family get -a- way or any type of retreat. Very spacious, very well equipped with spectacular views of the lake. The cottage gives you a really warm upscale vibe. I would highly recommend this property.
