About this house rental

Spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath home located on a quiet street, at Vallecito Lake, 20 miles from Bayfield and 30 miles from downtown Durango, CO. This home features an open floor plan with updated wood flooring and carpet. You enter into the open living and dining room, which has a large dining table plus an eating bar. The kitchen is just off the dining room and can accommodate many cooks. Just off the kitchen is the spare bedroom which has a queen bed. The main bath is just across the hall with a shower/tub combo. The master bedroom is just around the corner and has a king size bed. The master bathroom also has a shower/tub combo. The third bedroom is on the second floor. This room has a queen and trundle bed. This room also has it's own bathroom with a shower/tub combo as well. There is a small deck off the sunny, south facing side of the room. The loft overlooks the living and dining rooms. The deck overlooks the stream fed pond that attracts wildlife. Enjoy your outdoor grilling on the grill. A single car carport is a plus as well as ample parking.

This property is just a short 5 min drive to Lake Vallecito. Lake Vallecito offers many amenities. There are three great restaurants to choose from, offering a wide array of menu items. There are two local mini grocery stores that have a wide selection of items. The Marina offers boat, kayak, paddle board rentals and day use passes. Fishing licenses can be purchased at Pine River Lodge, just up the road from the Marina.

This was a great property for our kids and young grandkids. We all had our private bedrooms and bathrooms. The living area also offered sufficient space for all 6 of us. The property manager lives next door and was very responsive to any of our questions.

We stayed 2 nights to rest on our road trip from CO to Texas. The living area is spacious and a great place to relax. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. The host Julie even stopped by to visit. She was very friendly and has done her best to make everything perfect for guests.

We enjoyed the casual, well equipped cabin. It's just across the street from Blue Spruce RV Park where many other members of our extended family were staying. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the week.

Stayed for a week with my husband, kids and grandkids. The house was comfortable, clean and very well stocked. We realized when we arrived that the door on the hallway bathroom would not latch. I contacted Julie and it was fixed within an hour. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I, along with our two dogs had a wonderful stay at the Aspenwood Cabin! The home had everything we could need for a comfortable stay, and it was very clean. We also really enjoyed the location as it was a short commute to beautiful hiking trails, Valliceto Lake, and not too far to Durango. Julie the property host was very kind and easy to communicate with. We highly recommend renting this home!

Beautiful scenery ALL around. Exceptionally clean especially for pet friendly! We already booked again for next summer!! Well stocked cabin: spices, coffee filters, books for reading all available. Hiking and all lake activities were a short 5 minute drive down the road. Local grocery stores are small but even had a few gluten free items and staples like eggs, bread, lunch meats etc.

Cabin was just as advertised. The area up at the lake is just amazing and property was well stocked and very comfortable. It had everything you need and our family of 6 enjoyed hikes, fishing, boating and lounging around playing board games in the cool weather. We look forward to coming back! Thank you Julie !

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Julie and Cody were great. They are next door if you need anything. They even loaned me an extension cord so that I could plug in my EV. We found a park on the northeast side of the lake that is beautiful and was perfect for a picnic. The Vallecito Lake Country Market has a ridiculously large menu and the service/food was great. The area is insanely beautiful, everywhere you look is like a Bob Ross painting. I can't wait to check it out in the summer!

Julie was great! She got back to me quickly with all my questions. We were afraid that we might get snowed in with all the extra snow from the big storm but Cody kept the road and the driveway plowed for us. Jeff made sure we had plenty of firewood and Julie assured us that if we had to stay longer because the roads were closed we had a place to stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one may need, including lots of spices. The house was well cleaned and ready for us. We might have to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake.

Clean cabin with noticeable updates. Located at the north end of the lake with close access to the hiking trails. The upstairs room is well suited for kids. The kitchen is very well equipped. We'd likely stay here again.

we have five family members for this trip so there was some complicated planning. Property manager Julia was very patient with all the last minute changes we had and being very responsive. During our stay, when we told Julie there was some light bulbs burned out, the next day she had those fixed. while we were out. She is awesome!
