Welcome to our beautiful family home, Avon View! Pillared electrically operated gates greet you at the entrance of our unique and luxurious villa, which is on the edge of the New Forest and only 8 miles from Bournemouth Beach. Our villa is a family home with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and sleeps up to 12 people, ideally 8 adults and 4 children.
Avon View is set in private and gated grounds of 1.5 acres, and nestled adjacent to an exclusive hilltop view-point overlooking Avon Valley, and benefits from having no neighboring properties.
Our wonderful pool is heated and seasonal and in use approximately mid- May - mid October, depending on the weather conditions. The hot tub is hot and in use all year. The pool has a safety cover preventing people and children from falling in the pool. It is easy to use as the cover has an easy automatic opening/closure mechanism. Not only does the cover keep the pool cleaner but also the temperature warmer!
Your group will enter vacation mode from the moment you arrive at Avon View. Whether you choose to spend time with the family, playing tennis, soaking in the jacuzzi, enjoying the pool or the sun deck, relaxing by both indoor and outdoor fires, or celebrate in style by enjoying some drinks on the south facing terraces, your time at Avon View will become treasured memories!
Our beautiful family-friendly villa has an open plan kitchen and living area. The kitchen is well equipped with beautiful granite counter tops, which flow into the dining area, which is ideal for a get-together meal. The living room has an eye catching fire place, large sofa, and a smart TV. The adjoining large heated conservatory is an ideal place where to relax on cooler or wet evenings while looking at the beautiful forest views.
The second floor has two large family suites, sleeping 4 each, with vaulted ceilings and spacious ensuite bathrooms. Both bedrooms have king beds and pull out day beds, creating two single beds - making these suites ideal for families with younger children.
On the ground floor there are a further two bedrooms, one with two single beds and one with a king bed. The bedrooms share a beautiful bathroom with a large bath. The bedroom with the two single beds also have an office space with a desk and a chair in case you need to take care of business or admin tasks during your stay.
The property is surrounded by 1.5 acres of gardens which include a pool, jacuzzi, sun deck, tennis court, outdoor pavilion with fireplace, cinema room with a large 80 inch TV, games room with pro pool and table tennis, koi pond and multiple outdoor seating options. The tennis court is perfect for active families. The garden is large and fully secure and gated.
We only provide one set of towels, for your comfort, please bring additional towels for spa and swimming pool use.
There is parking for up to 6 cars, along with one car charging point.
From the front gates it is a 30 meter walk to the Avon Valley view point, from where on clear days you can see the white cliffs of Isle of Wight. This view point is closed to the public at dusk giving you the opportunity to enjoy this amazing view point alone!

We had a great stay. The property is comfortable and well-equipped, with plenty of areas both indoors and outside for eating and relaxing. The facilities are fantastic - an outdoor pool (heating on but still rather chilly), jacuzzi, tennis court and a separate games room with snooker and pool tables, darts, fussball and cinema room! A shame that the main road is so close, but good quality double glazing meant that we weren’t disturbed by traffic noise overnight. Otherwise an ideal location for the New Forest and the coast around Bournemouth.
Directions to the property were clear and we were welcomed and shown round when we arrived. There has clearly been some recent redecoration and still some minor snagging needed, but this did not detract from a wonderful stay.

We had an excellent time here with the family. The facilities were great and the house lends itself to a family holiday.
Only slight downside was the traffic noise from the A31.
We were well looked after by Timo who sorted any little problems quickly. We would love to return one day.

Great property, ideal for families with children over 7. Great pool, tennis court, games room, film room. Our four grandchildren made use of all of them and loved it.
Quite difficult to find even with sat nav, would have been nice to have clear directions.

This was a great property in a superb location. The fact that there is so much space in the house, grounds and outbuildings meant that every individual in the group was able to relax and enjoy the ample facilities.
The only slight disappointment was that the swimming pool was too cold for our toddler but I do understand the difficulty and expense of heating an outdoor pool at this time of year.

We visited the property as 3 families to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had such a lovely time staying at this beautiful property. It really does have everything you could wish for. There was so much space in both the property and the grounds that we could all come together as a group but could just as easily have some time out if you needed it.
Swimming Pool and hot tub were brilliant and lovely and warm and the outdoor eating area is fantastic.
We would love to come back and stay again!

We stayed in Avon View as a family group with different aged children and adults. We were very lucky with the weather but the property was amazing and was like we were abroad, especially having the swimming pool. The property was well stocked with any utensils you required and had lots for everyone to do.
It was also secure so we didn’t have to worry about the dogs escaping.
Timo was very welcoming and quickly replied to any question we had.
The location of the property also meant that the children could be children without worrying about neighbours.
We would definitely recommend this property and the host and will be booking again.

This is a lovely property with all the amenities that a group with children could wish for. A swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court and games room. We especially liked the undercover BBQ area. Only minor things in the property need attending to like shower shelves and hooks for towels. The only downside was the fact that if you like walking you need to get in your car and drive to an area to do so. But overall we had a lovely time here.

We loved our family's stay at Avon View. The house was large and had all the amenities needed for a wonderful holiday for a large family, with the highlights for us being the pool, spa and large garden.
Susanna the owner communicated promptly and helpfully before our stay and Timo the Property Manager was there when we needed support and was extremely friendly. The house itself was extremely well appointed and we really appreciated the small touches that made life simpler, like the supply of coffee and barbecue fuel.
Would highly recommend for a large group.

Fantastic Venue
Fantastic venue for an extended family holiday. The inside communal areas together with brilliant outside facilities made our week a wonderful memorable stay. Everything was of a very high standard , the support of a gardener would make it perfect . Plenty to do together as well as quieter areas . Good location , superb house and facilities on a large , mature private plot.

The grounds property and facilities are splendid and Timo who manages the property was very responsive and immediately supplied our needs. Our only reservations were that the tennis court while playable was in a poor state of repair and there was continual traffic noise from A338/A31. Overall though a very enjoyable stay

Great New Years Retreat
Our party of 6 adults and 5 children thoroughly enjoy our stay at Matchams. The property is very well appointed and is in a very good decorative and clean condition.
The hosts were all very welcoming and friendly. They welcomed us at check-in with a quick tour and nothing was too much trouble for them to accommodate for us.
We stayed for three nights from the 30th December to the 2nd January and the property provided our group with all that we needed to have a relaxing and entertaining time over the new year.
Particular favourites were the hot tub, the games room, the large flat screen TVs (the kids enjoyed their Cinema afternoon’s) and the conservatory which provided a great space for our New Years eve celebrations!
The living areas contained large comfortable sofas, together - the kitchen included high-end Neff appliances and the diner provided ample space and with a large dining table to ensure the group were suitably catered for at meal times. Finally the bedrooms were spotless and cosy and bathrooms clean and modern.
I would highly recommend the property and the hosts and would be interested in visiting again.

Perfect for a family reunion
This was a perfect place to hold our annual family weekend away. All the facilities (games room, hot tub, swimming pool and tennis court) on site meant that there was something for everyone of all ages to enjoy and we could all be together in one place. I would definitely recommend.

Family time in a great property
A family group of eight of us stayed for a week, including older teens.
Susanna was prompt and informative when dealing with our queries from before booking to the time of the holiday.
Both Susanna and Steven met us at the property and showed us around. They were very welcoming.
The property was lovely and clean and well equipped. In particular the kitchenware was of good quality. It may be that we didn’t locate them but we could have done with a couple of lasagne type dishes to make cooking for 8 a little easier and some melamine type glasses for outside use as we didn’t want to risk any breakages by the pool.
The property had lots of room both inside and out and plenty of activities to keep us all busy. We didn’t feel we needed to venture out anywhere. We especially enjoyed the outside terrace in the evening for bbq’s and fires and a late night dip in the hot tub with the lighting on.
There were 3 bathrooms which all seemed fairly new. We felt that the smaller of the 2 upstairs could perhaps have done with a couple of shelves to make storage easier but it wasn’t a major problem.
The cinema room created an additional chill out area with comfortable seating. The youngsters enjoyed playing music through the sound bar and some of us older ones thought that a late night horror film was a good idea!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would be happy to recommend both the property and hosts. We hope to visit again.

Fantastic property with amazing facilities. The tennis court, swimming pool and games room were a real hit with our teenagers - not forgetting the hot tub and T.V room! Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay - yes the road is noisy but you get used to it. We played lots of tennis, enjoyed the pool and hot tub and had great fun evenings in the BBQ area . The beaches are a short drive away and we had a lovely lunch at Avon Beach in the Noisy Lobster

Beautiful well equipped house and outdoor space in superb location!
We have never used Vrbo before but came across Avon View and it had everything we were looking for. It is within a perfect distance from the beach/shops yet in stunning private surroundings. We used the lovely heated pool every day and enjoyed using the outdoor space for bbqs and games. The house is incredibly well equipped from toilet paper to toiletries and laundry supplies which is a first for us as regular travellers where we usually have to take all of our own. It was a pleasure to meet Susanna on arrival who gave us a great tour of the property and made us feel very much at home. The house was very clean and each bedroom and bathroom were a great size/layout for our family. The games room and outdoor snug area were great areas for our children as well the hot tub! Overall we were thrilled with our stay and will most certainly be staying again in the hopefully near future!
