Welcome to Bent Creek Retreat. Enjoy the Resort Life at this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, meticulously maintained townhome located in Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure, North Carolina. This resort community located in the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills is the ideal vacation location. There are many other condo and townhome units on the rental market, but very few are this NICE!

Nestled in the trees, this townhome has one of the best locations of the bunch! It has better parking than most, with two very level spaces for easy unpacking of luggage and groceries. Once down about 10 steps to get inside, the rest of your stay is single level living. From the moment you enter, this feels like home away from home.
The living room has plenty of comfortable seating for the entire group, including a sleeper sofa, oversized lounge chair, and two other large side chairs. It's perfectly equipped to gather around the stone fireplace available during the fall and winter months, or watch the wall mounted flat screen television. Other features include soothing light colors, tasteful décor, Wi-Fi internet, wood floors, ceiling fan, and plenty of pillows for comfort. Sliding glass doors lead to a full-length deck complete with plenty of patio furniture, gas barbeque, and seasonal golf course views.
The open inviting floor plan connects all the living areas together. Steps away from the living room is a formal dining table that seats four, and casual dining at the breakfast bar that also seats four. There's enough seating for everyone. It's the perfect place to gather for meals, games, or just planning the next day's adventures.
The kitchen has plenty of granite counter space for meal preparation, and has everything you need: breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, refrigerator freezer, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, electric stove and oven, double sink, a variety of cookware, and plenty of dishes. We provide a starter kit of a few essentials, but definitely bring whatever you think might be needed. Off the kitchen is a washer and dryer.
The luxurious Master Suite has a king size bed, two nightstands with reading lamps, dresser with large mirror, his and hers closets, bench for easy dressing, ceiling fan, and a television. The private Master Bathroom has tile floors, dual vanities, oversized mirror, plenty of counter space, and tub and shower. We provide freshly pressed sheets, thick luxurious towels, and starter bathroom amenities.
The large Guest Room has two beds, for sleeping flexibility. This is a unique feature most townhomes don't have. One bed is a queen and the other is a full. This room is also nicely appointed with quality bedding, dresser, nightstand with reading lamp, closet, and television. Just down the hall is a Guest bathroom with tub and shower.

Lake Lure Beach is just 5 minutes away, complete with water slides and a splash pad! The main Town of Lake Lure marina offers boat rentals, daily tours, and dinner cruises. River tubing, zip-lining, gem-mining, horseback riding and rock climbing are all within a short distance of the house. The area also boasts 2 beautiful golf courses for those looking to venture out onto the green. Hike Chimney Rock State Park for a breathtaking view. Or explore the charming little town of Chimney Rock with riverfront breweries, Burntshirt Bistro and tasting room, only 10 minutes away. For any grocery needs, Ingles Market is a large fully stocked grocery store with deli, bakery, wine, and beer, along with a Starbucks and Pharmacy. The towns of Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Black Mountain, and Asheville (The Biltmore Estate) are between 45 minutes to an hour's drive depending on traffic. Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) offering world class equestrian events throughout the year is a short 20-minute drive. the Towns of Columbus and Tryon are also a short drive away.

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS
First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 6 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.
DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for 2 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.
ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.
MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.
NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.
LAKE LEVELS: Lake water levels cannot be guaranteed. The Town of Lake Lure may lower the lake below full pond seasonally for dam repairs, sewer upkeep, silt removal, and to allow homeowners the ability to make repairs to docks and sea walls. Periodic lowering might also happen because of flood warnings, heavy rain, or other emergencies observed by the Town. In all these circumstances, the Town of Lake Lure reserves the right to limit use of boats, kayaks, canoes, or other watercraft at any time as it deems necessary.
LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.
FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.
BOATING: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.
NO SMOKING: Smoking, Vaping and Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.
UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.
SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes have forward facing entry area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy and number of vehicles.
PETS/ANIMALS: PETS/ANIMALS are NOT ALLOWED in this home. If you are found to be in violation of this rule you will be required to vacate the property and forfeit the remainder of your stay. You will also be assessed a fine of $500 for the violation. No refunds will be given!
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Failure to sign rental agreement with-in 72 hours of booking, will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicated the acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.
Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.
ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:
Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.

Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00
*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.
CHECK IN: 4:00 p.m., local time (or later) You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 a.m. to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00
*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. For more information about the annual lake drawdown, please call the Town of Lake Lure.

Nice older condo with access to Rumbling Bald Resort. We enjoyed our recent stay of a week as the condo was comfortable for our family of four. Mr. Lake Lure properties manage it and they were great. On our last night, we came back to the house with no water. They were quick to contact us back and stayed in communication with us and got maintenance to diagnose problem. A pipe had burst under the property so it wasn't a quick fix; however, things happen and this was no one's fault. Beds were comfortable as were linens and blankets. Nicely decorated. Kitchen had your basics for cooking. Internet access was good. Nice grill and deck. Could use a new couch as it is getting worn out and wasn't very comfortable but definitely wasn't a deal breaker. Would stay again.

The area is nice and quiet. The townhouse had all of everyday amenities. It was neat and clean. The kitchen had all necessary items to cook a meal. The dryer probably needs to be replaced. It was extremely loud and took a very long time to dry a medium size load. The way it was placed in the laundry closet prevented the door from opening all the way. The resort area was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our granddaughters enjoyed the lake and the outdoor pools.

The condo/duplex we had fit all our needs. Didn’t notice anywhere in the description that it was a duplex type home. Didn’t make a difference in our stay because nobody was in the house next to us. If you are interested in a single family stand alone place this isn’t for you. It was a short drive to the wellness center for the pool, gym mini-golf, basketball hoops and other things. The gym was nicely furnished. About 15 minutes to a fully stocked grocery store. 5 minutes to a nice little breakfast restaurant. We would definitely stay here again. The chlorine in the hot tub was burn your eyes strong. Couldn’t sit in it very long. Pool was warm

Lake Lure and Rumbling Bald were amazing. The condo was very roomy. I liked that it had 2 full size beds in the second bedroom. However, it was not clean. Walking in we got caught up in all kinds of spider webs. It’s in the woods, so understandable, but these were excessive. The amount of cobwebs on the condo and the deck made the outside unusable. There was also a cigarette butt on the railing by the front door. There were cobwebs all in the corners of the house and in the decor. You could literally see the dust on the tables and nightstands. One dinning room chair was broke and was sharp. On our last morning there we woke up to ants everywhere in the kitchen. It got all in our food and much had to be thrown away. Communication was great, but overall would not stay there again.

We stayed at the property for a weekend in October. As soon as we walked in, it felt like coming home. Unlike many stays we have had during our travels as a family, I was really impressed with how comfortable the master bed was. Everything we needed was provided and clean, from linens and kitchen towels to dish soap and shampoo. We only stayed two nights and did not cook any meals, but would love to come back for longer and enjoy a family dinner out on the spacious porch. Full of all the amenities a family would need, extremely comfortable and close to lots of fun activities. We hope to come back!

Quiet and relaxing!
Exactly like the pictures! Everything you could have needed was there! We did bring extra towels and beach towels. All of the amenities were great! Beautiful lake and pool!

Older condo with a good location
We enjoyed our stay. The master bath is dated and with old grout and some furnishings were dated; however, the proximity to Lake Lure and the communication with the rental folks was great.

Restful, relaxed family retreat
We loves this cabin for our Memorial Day weekend! This was our first visit to Lake Lure and we were able to have access to the pools and beach and all amenities at rumbling bald resort. We were able to cook most meals there- bring any spices including salt and pepper you would need because those were not there. There were games, movies and books and our kids loved it! There is a grill and plenty of cookware. You would need to bring an iron and ironing board if you aren’t bringing wrinkle free clothes. I would bring extra shampoo, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. There are plenty of extra blankets but when we go back I will bring my own pillow. This was pretty much a perfect getaway!

Safety hazards
My wife lit her hair on fire while trying to light the grill. Ignition switch not working. Alternative rental unavailable and by the time I could get confirmation of refund for early check out our stay was almost over. Owner refused to replace grill. Jacuzzi tub also not working along with screen door broken. We got locked inside multiple times and had to scramble through the backyard. Rental agency responsive but unable to resolve issues. Renter beware.

Blair Family Vacay!
The property was fantastic with great views. Quiet and just what we needed. Only issue was the dryer was broken and we weren’t informed before we arrived, other than that we enjoyed our stay. We will be back again.

Mountain Getaway

Great escape
Location was a quick drive to Rumbling Bald Resort while still feeling more mountain cabin. It rained almost the entire trip so we were unable to enjoy the porch or go hiking but cozy all the same!

A Relaxing Stay
The condo is lovely,. Although the living space is smaller than it appears in the photos, it was very cozy and comfortable and a great place for a relaxing getaway. Our party's one concern was the HVAC did not heat consistently in the bedrooms; one was toasty and one was chilly. Perhaps that was due to furniture arrangement.

Thanksgiving getaway
Property was lovely. Management very responsive. I think they manage property on crisis mode. Until problem is presented, they don't check to see if property is functioning properly. We arrived to the beeping of the smoke detector. Then we discovered the freezer and refrigerator not working. Then we discovered the master bedroom fan didn't work properly. Then we discovered fireplace switch didn't work. Second day we received new refrigerator. That same person fixed our fireplace. Then we got note that someone else came while we were out to fix fireplace and couldn't fix fan. Management did their very best to fix all of the above in a timely fashion. They brought coolers and replaced our ice cream. However, we were still inconvenienced and it interfered in our vacation. Then lawn maintenance came on a saturday so we couldn't use back porch and had to retreat indoors. Planning of these activities could be greatly improved. Unsettling visit to say the least. Had the property been checked for functioning appliances it would have helped.

Quit getaway in a beautiful natural surrounding.
The property was tucked away on a densely populated forest hill-side. If quiet and calm is what you are looking for, you've found the right place. The property is not too big or too small, but just quaint. It was an easy drive to hike around Lake Lure as well as drive to Ashville for some touring around at Chimney Rock State Park. We would definitely return! Thanks for a great stay.

Very nice townhouse at Lake Lure
I stayed here with my spouse and it was perfect. The townhouse has a good layout, nice furniture, nice kitchen, nice view, and we had access to the Rumbling Bald resort amenities. Just as advertised and we would be happy to stay there again.

Nice weekend retreat
The inside of this home is very comfortable, clean and inviting. The kitchen is well equipped, everything seems brand new! I loved that the rental company had sheets, towels and soaps in bathroom and kitchen too. Master bed was VERY firm but that would be my only negative. The only other hiccup was our passes for rumbling bald were not in the home on arrival, the company quickly remedied the next morning. Would book again!

The property was just as described. Nestled among the trees in Rambling Bald Resort. Kicked was nicely stocked with coffee and paper products. Resort had great amenities, pool, restaurants, llake activities. Would definitely make a return visit to condo and resort.
