Looking for the perfect “hideaway” to relax, enjoy the lakeside view and spend quality time with family or friends? The Hanahan Lakeside Hideaway is conveniently located on Norris Point between Flat Hallow and Springs dock, across from Island Marker #12 on Norris Lake in Lafollette, TN.
Take a deep breath, kick back and relax from the moment you drive down the pear tree lined driveway to the unobstructed view of the lake. Unwind on the large double decks or enjoy the covered dock where there is plenty of space to mingle, swing, swim and float. Soak in the view with a cozy fire in the fire pit overlooking the lake or catch some much needed z’s in the hammock between the pines.
The home has an open concept kitchen, living area and dining area which gives ample room for multiple families to enjoy gathering and preparing meals together. A half bath conveniently located off the living area offers a full size washer and dryer. Enjoy a large master bedroom (King Bed) that features a spacious walk-in closet, master bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and your own personal access to the deck where you can swing, rock or glide while soaking up the morning sunrise. The lower level features 3 bedrooms(1st Bedroom-1 Queen Bed, 2nd Bedroom- 1 Queen Bed, 3rd Bedroom- 1 Queen Bunk Bed & Twin Bunk Bed, Sleeper Sofa located in Family Area), a full bathroom, a family area perfect to watch a movie, play card games or get competitive with a game of foosball.
The Hanahan Lakeside Hideaway sleeps up to 14 guests. It is a perfect lake home to get away with your family. Relax and rest comfortable knowing that inclement weather conditions will not interfere with your stay. Our home is equip with a whole house backup Generac generator.
We have a private covered dock with attached swim dock. Dock features a smaller covered slip perfect for up to 2 jetskis and a larger covered slip that houses the owners boat on lift. There is uncovered parking on the side of dock (opposite of swim dock) to park additional boat(s). Dock also features a table and chairs and small refrigerator for food/drinks.
Our hideaway is located across from Island Marker #12 and the Chuck Swan Wildlife Management Area in year around deep water allowing for boating, skiing, kayaking, tubing, fishing, jumping off the dock and floating. Our home is easy to get to with paved roads and an easy access boat ramp located 1/2 mile before the driveway.

Positives: This location is terrific! Amazing views. Loved the dock. Kids played all day, jumping off the dock and playing on the paddle board. We would have loved to also use the kayaks that were on the dock, but that was not allowed. The decks at the house were very accommodating. We enjoyed the large dining table outside and the kitchen was very well stocked (couldn't find a cheese grater, but overall, everything was there to prepare nice meals.
Negatives: I have not stayed at a VRBO that required us to bring our own toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, etc. It seems that the thousands of dollars spent in rent, could have supported a package or two of toilet paper. Also, there are plenty of "rules" about not arriving early and not leaving late, with fees associated with any infractions. However, we arrived within the guidelines and the cleaning team had just arrived. We had to wait another couple of hours to unload our things and get unpacked. They were not ready for us, and yet, they did not even acknowledge this or apologize.
Also, if you bring small children, be aware that there are several "breakable" knick knacks, glass tables, etc to navigate. For good or bad, the insurance policy that you are required to pay for, will cover and damage incurred.
The lake/river was quite busy and the house is on a thoroughfare that makes it challenging for pulling wakeboarders/tubers, etc. Also, if you bring a boat, be aware that the dock space is not available

This is a beautiful location with one of the best views you could ask for. The boat house was one of the big reasons for us picking this property and it was spacious so we could spread out. We also caught several huge 10 pound cat fish and a large stripe off the dock. My only complaint is my mother couldn't go back and fourth to the boat house just because it was slightly steep and shes 75, but there's steps and its well maintained. Also we stayed in the Fall but I could tell in the Summer it would be awesome, there's a swim pad built on the dock. We had a wonderful stay all in all.

Gorgeous view. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house was perfect for all of us that stayed. We mainly were outside or in the water. The set up at their dock is great for hanging out. The property is very steep so be prepared. No shallow areas in this lake for little kids. We took our boat which is a must or rent one to view all the homes along the lake areas. We rented jet skis for a day. We went to the tiki hut and those were the best wings I have ever had. We would go back without hesitation to this exact property.

What a beautiful property!! Everything was just as advertised and pictures cannot do it justice. We had a blast swimming,fishing and spending time in the hammock and the deck! The entire area is simply gorgeous and very quiet,perfect place to decompress. We had zero issues but if we did I’m sure Clint would have been on it! He gave so much great info on the area and fishing,it really paid off! This was indeed a very special anniversary,thanks for sharing your beautiful place!

The view from the back porch was beautiful! The openness with the windows made it peaceful to sit and have your morning coffee. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. The dock provided room to fish, swim, and lay out. The host answered any questions we had quickly and was very helpful. The Marina was very close and docking was very close. The slope to walk to the dock was better than climbing steps. The campfires at night were wonderful and you could look out into the lake.

This is a fantastic lake house. We would swim all day and then end the evenings eating on the deck with the gorgeous lake views. The boat dock was great- so nice to have power down there and a mini fridge to store our drinks. The house has everything you could possibly need. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to make all meals. Would definitely stay again. Also love they have Hbo,Showtime, and Starz. Makes it easier to agree on a movie for families staying haha. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Great Location
My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was our third vacation to Norris Lake and the best view yet! It is easy to find on the water (just off of point 12) and an easy boat ride to several different marinas. The owners were very easy to communicate with. The house has a great AC, WiFi, and full back up generator (just in case). The dock was an awesome place to hang out/swim/fish after a day on the boat. The location on the lake has plenty of wide and deep water for tubing. We finished each day at the fire pit. Overall a great place to spend some relaxing time with the family.

Great House and Dock
This house was just as the listing described. No issues and if there were, I had no doubt the owners would have been on top of it as they were in constant communication.
We loved all the windows which provided perfect views of the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The dock was perfect for fishing and it was an easy walk from the house.

Weekend Getaway
The house was very nice with a beautiful view. It was clean and had everything we needed for a short weekend stay. Clint was great to work with. We wanted to watch a ballgame on the SEC network that was not part of the TV package, so Clint called the TV provider and got it added for that weekend. The master bed was very comfortable. The only complaint that we had was that the queen mattress downstairs really needs to be replaced. Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Fishing, floating, and family fun.
This was our families first time ever staying in a lake house so we didn’t know what to expect exactly or how to prepare for things but we were so beyond happy with how it went even if we did wing it per say. The house was perfect for all of us. Four adults and four teenagers. Plenty of room. We cooked dinner together each night We rented a pontoon boat for two days and jet skis for one day. If your planning this and want to enjoy the water toys BOOK EARLY!!!! Everywhere was so booked up and very slim pickings. We had to rent a boat from Whitman’s which was pretty far for the gas and drive in the car and jet skis thankfully Grides had but only one we could get full day. I called every place on the lake!! So just a heads up. Also just pack what you need for the stay and prepare to be there. It’s a good drive anywhere but you won’t want to leave the house anyways. We absolutely loved every minute there and wish we could have rented it for a longer stay. But we soaked up all the time we had there and made the best memories. Oh and another thing that blew our mind NO MOSQUITOS!!!! Whaaattt!! The mosquito is our state bird we joke. You can not enjoy being outside in the evening without getting ate alive here at home in Ohio. We did not use bug spray once while there. I packed four bottles and never opened it. Can’t even believe that. We caught big catfish and small mouth bass off the boat house each night too. So pack your gear and you can leave worms in the little fridge off the boat house. It’s super convenient. They thought of it all from the kitchen to the outdoors to make the stay perfect!!!! Highly recommend this place.

Peaceful serenity at Lake Norris
My family had an amazing week at the Lake House. So much to do, the paddle board was a big hit for all. I loved to watch sunrises on the swing at the dock and my family had several meals at the dock. Plenty of space for ppl to spread out but at the same time great gathering areas also. Very thought out areas for kids with movies, games and even a dinosaur coloring book my young son says the “owners” got just for him to use.. lots of peaceful times spent in the hammock also.. we will definitely be back soon!

Little piece of paradise
We had an excellent stay here. The view is AMAZING and the house feels like it overhangs the lake. We spent so much time on the dock, that we brought our coffee maker, and fished for hours. The marina was avery short boat ride away, making renting a boat easy. We would stay here again and again...Especially in the fall.

This property is everything as is described - clean, plenty of room, gorgeous view, great covered dock, great location! Has plenty of 'kitchen ware' to cover any and all needs! Check in/out process was simple and quick. Owners were very hands on and welcoming. Driveway is steep but still not a bad walk to the dock area as there are also lighted steps. A great getaway vacation for our family. We're already planning our next visit!

Wonderful long weekend getaway
Our 5day stay was great! While a few more hand towels and TP/paper towels would have been nice (bring extra = bring your own), our stay was still amazing.
The boat dock was perfect for the kids to swim and play, us to launch our kayaks and paddle boards and dock the pontoon boat we rented.
Kids definitely want to go back and we will be looking for dates to rent in the area again!

Great Lakeside Getaway
We had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful and very well appointed. The owners were very responsive and helpful throughout. We rented a pontoon for 4 days and it was great for tubing and traveling around to the different marinas. We had a wonderful time and will be back! Perfect spot for our socially distant getaway! Wonderful Lake House
My family had a wonderful stay at this lake house. The layout of the house is perfect for families. Great downstairs for kids or second family, while upstairs is perfect for the main gatherings. Amazing views from both porches. Dock is in great condition and perfect for swimming or storing boats, PWC, and gear. Yard is wonderful for the dogs. Communication and information prior to, during and after the stay was top notch. Highly recommended.

As soon as we walked in, I felt very confident the cleanliness of the house. The pictures listed are spot on, so no unhappy surprises. All updated appliances with a huge microwave. We absolutely love both porches and the view from both. We most certainly will be back.

Our stay at this property was amazing! The house was the perfect size for us (4 adults and 4 children). We spent most of our time on the dock. The dock area was perfect for fishing, sunbathing and swimming. We rented a pontoon and tube one day which was so much fun! The view of the lake was amazing! Norris Lake is so beautiful. Clint & Janice were so responsive and provided so much valuable/ useful information on the property/area. We highly recommend this property!
