Welcome to “Hygge'' a modern 3BR townhome located in the heart of Traverse City. With an open kitchen and 1400 sq. ft. of living space, and one car garage, it is perfect for families and larger groups looking to stay close to all the attractions of TC, including Mission Peninsula wineries, craft breweries, local restaurants, shopping, and more.
We are Pet-friendly! Pet fee is $125 per stay. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. Please let us know if you are bringing a fur friend so that we may get your pet amenities prepared for your arrival. We try our best to keep hair and allergens away, but guests with dog sensitivities should be aware. Please use our provided sofa cover and 'retired' towels for your fur friends. Booking guests will be responsible for any pet damage.
Quiet hours are observed after 10pm. We are in a residential neighborhood so please make sure to respect our neighbors. No unauthorized parties are allowed.

This Traverse City home boasts three bedrooms to come home to after exploring the area. The master bedroom is equipped with a king bed and a private ensuite bathroom. If you’re traveling with a young one, you’ll find a Pack and Play crib and a highchair in the closet. The second bedroom features a queen bed, while the third is outfitted with two twin beds. You will also find a high quality roll-away bed in the closet to accommodate one adult.
Three bedrooms, a Pack and Play crib, two twin fold-out sofa beds, and one queen pull-out sofa mean this home can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people and an infant, a rare commodity in the middle of Traverse City.
Note that all three bedrooms are located on the third floor.

The townhome has two full baths and a half bath, so there’s no need to worry about scrambling for shower time. The master bathroom features dual vanity sinks and a large walk-in shower. The second full bathroom located on the third floor is equipped with a shower/tub combo. The half bath is located on the living room / kitchen level.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook up tasty meals, including new stainless steel appliances, a blender, instapot and a separate coffee station with an assortment of coffee and tea available. There are also kids' bowls, utensils, and a high chair for young families.
The kitchen island is great for laying out appetizers or mixing up tasty cocktails. There is seating for two here and an additional six spots at the dining room table.

Just across from the kitchen and dining room is the cozy living room with plush furnishings, a gas fireplace, and a flat-screen Smart TV equipped with HULU live cable channels, Netflix, and Disney+. If you’re looking for some family fun or group activity, check out our board game collection (look under the coffee station). There are also some kids' toys and books available.
Head out to the patio through the sliding glass doors after making your book selection, slip into the outdoor chairs and enjoy. Morning coffee in the cool breezes are also a treat.
Please note during our peak season (June-September) we discourage late check-outs and early check-ins due to the tight turn-around schedules of our cleaning teams. We are happy to allow for an early check-in or late check-out if our cleaning team is able to accommodate the request and still allow the rental to be cleaned to our quality standards and specifications. All early check-ins and late check-outs will be charged a $250.00 additional fee for this expedited service. We are able to accommodate early check-in and late check-outs during our off season (October-May) for a reduced fee of $50.00, please contact us for further information.
Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.
Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days after check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Quiet time after 10 p.m. Please refrain from making noises past 10 p.m. to respect our neighbors. NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.
Pets: Dogs are permitted in the house. Please declare your pets to us ahead of checking in and settle any pet related fees. Pet fees is $125 up to 2 pets. Please clean up after your fur friends and use the provided retired towels to clean your dogs. Please do not let your dogs venture into the neighbor’s yards during their walks.
Housekeeping: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will be happy to help arrange additional cleaning during your stay for a fee. If you run out of clean linens (sheets/pillow cases) and towels etc., you are welcome to use the laundry facility to replenish them. PLEASE do not wipe any food, oils, or lotions on the linens. Please use the kitchen towels (paper or cloths) for their intended purposes.
We provide black make-up towels and cotton pads for removing makeup. If our other towels are stained or bleached during your stay, we will charge a $15 replacement fee for each towel.
Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager will not assume responsibility for illness or injury that guest(s) may incur while on the property. Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager, is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or property of the guest. Stayed with 6 girlfriends. Location was within easy driving distance to downtown and local attractions. The condo is 3 levels, be aware you have 2 flights of stairs to navigate. The kitchen is well stocked, living room is very comfortable and the balcony has seats for 4. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms with very comfortable bedding and clean bathrooms. They provide toiletries which was lovely. Extra blankets and pillows were also nice. The area surrounding the building is a little rundown, but walking distance to nice neighborhoods for walks and one mile to downtown. The owner/property manager was very responsive and helpful.

Condo was very nice, clean and spacious and stocked with everything you could possibly need which is very nice if you forget something. Nice quiet neighborhood and plenty of places within walking distance, but short drive to the beach and downtown. Would definitely book here again.

Super cute and clean townhome with everything my group of 6 needed. Owners were very responsive. Great location close to Front street shopping and trail system for biking. Served as a good home base for day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island. Would love to visit the area again and wouldn’t hesitate to book this home for another stay.

I took a group of friends to Traverse City for a long weekend and we absolutely loved our accommodations in the Hygge and Walnut townhomes. The owners were sooo accommodating and responsive. The properties were lovely, very clean and extremely well appointed/stocked! They pretty much thought of everything! I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return someday.

The condo was just as advertised- clean and decorated very nicely. Worked well for us other than a bit of a parking issue, which the host responded to quickly with a solution. Good location to everything. Highly recommend!!

The property was clean and well maintained. There was ample space for the eight of us to spend time together on the main level. The location was close to shopping and restaurants and the hosts provided a list of area favorites. There were stairs to get to the main level and additional stairs to get up to the bedrooms. This was not a problem for our group, but would be if you were traveling with individuals that had difficulty with stairs.

So many thoughtful touches!
This condo was a clean, pleasant and cozy place for a winter weekend with an old friend to celebrate my 50th birthday. Everything was as presented on vrbo plus there were many extra little touches that showed the owners/manager were striving to make sure you had anything you could need or might have forgotten. In particular for us, my friend had made a playlist of music from our history together in honor of my birthday. I was supposed to bring my Bluetooth speaker but forgot it, having left it charging in my own kitchen. Not to worry! They had one there in addition to anything you might need in the bathroom and kitchen. The only thing we wished for was a coffee grinder since we had brought whole beans, but the Kirkland coffee they supplied got us through. They even left a gift to make up for any convenience related to construction in the garage making it unavailable. The only other complaint I could have is the high vrbo and cleaning fees which seem to be across the board now on vrbo, having increased steadily over the years. Even with that being the case, I would still say it was worth it for us for the weekend. The place was much nicer and more memorable than a hotel would likely be. Would recommend!!

Great location and so clean!
We were in TC for a family wedding and stayed in this property. It was the perfect location, allowing us to attend all the activities planned and get out on our own too. Walking through the neighborhood is delightful and there is a grocery store nearby in case you need something fast. We walked to the lake and downtown very easily. The hosts are so responsive and the condo is very clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our time at this property. The home was extremely clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The amenities were fabulous and the kitchen was fully stocked! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

Although we did not use it, it was an added bonus to have our own private garage. Owner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly, especially when we needed a little extra help with the television. The best part was being close to everything we wanted to do in Traverse City. I would recommend it for groups who prefer the privacy and quiet of their own place at a price similar to a nice hotel.

Although we did not use it, it was an added bonus to have our own private garage. Owner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly, especially when we needed a little extra help with the television. The best part was being close to everything we wanted to do in Traverse City. I would recommend it for groups who prefer the privacy and quiet of their own place at a price similar to a nice hotel.

We loved staying at this property for our fall girls trip. The location is close to downtown shopping and ease of driving up the peninsula to visit vineyards. This townhouse was immaculately clean and well appointed with everything we needed. Very impressed with the decor and how this felt like a true home away from home.
The owners were very responsive to communications and ensured our stay was perfect. Would definitely recommend for families as well. The bedrooms, bathrooms and layout are perfect. We also loved having access to park our vehicle in a garage.
