Loved being a part of the local village, if just for the day/night.

We could pick our breakfast from a full menu, not just a continental breakfast. The pub/Inn is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of a quaint old Mill pond, city park, and grocery market store. Loved the quirky windy stairs up to the bedrooms. Typical of old Inn's, the room are small, but very clean with modern updated bathroom. The pub was mostly locals, enjoying a pint and watching the soccer game. So fun to be a part of a usual English village. The manager took care of all our needs, calling the local taxi for us to setup a morning pickup to get the the boat docks to meet our cruise boat.

The location is a bit further from the boat docks than I was expecting.

Lovely overnight stay!

Lovely room, comfortable bed, perfect for an overnight stay. Bridget was so helpful and offered something to eat even although kitchen not officially open on the night we stayed. Beautifully cooked breakfast by her in the morning. Thank you.

Comfortable yet disappointing.

Staff friendly and tried to be helpful. Rooms quite nicely decorated.

Would be great if the maid didn’t turn off the heating during the day, it is winter after all. Soundproofing non existent. Very noisy. Unannounced Karaoke! Why so many cushions? No television. Only one setting on the coffee machine - espresso. Why? Bathroom small and poorly laid out… why put the hand basin so close to the toilet that you can’t either get past it or sit down with it in the way? Why?

Cosy and warm room.

Water was scorching hot at its minimum Temperature. Was almost impossible to take a shower for three days.

Clean and Private, Perfect for a naughty getaway.

The room was clean and tidy, with a great shower facility that’s big enough for 2, you were left to be as private as you needed and the staff were friendly and eager to help.

Exceptional

The room was well equipped with all essentials. Spotlessly clean, with a comfy bed too. Great location, in a lovely village. The pub is very welcoming and friendly. We were looking forward to a bite to eat but the kitchen was closed that night. We ordered a takeaway from the local Chinese restaurant and ate it in the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, considering the minor disaster, as all the fuses blew and Carol, the waitress, coped without fuss. Will be back, if we are back that way.

There was nothing to dislike.

Very good

Easy to find, self check-in and out, doors with electronic keypads. Great location for Dover Town. Staff lovely, Room 3 although small was comfortable and big enough for two. Good choice for breakfast, Cereal, Fruit, Full English waere amongst other options and the coffee was lovely. Nespresso in the room and help yourself machine at breakfast.

Strong drain smell on the first night in Room 3, asked staff to put bleach down drains and 2nd night not as strong but could still smell a slight drain smell. Uneven floors, steep stairs and low ceilings but with the age of the building can't be helped

Ok trip to dover

The area is very near the port and the shower is lovely. They got has our get to go bags as we couldn't stay for breakfast so it made our trip easier.

The room has near some laundry machine. You could listen to it at night.

Nice tiny room

Nice breakfast with English breakfast cocked from order. Muesli, corn flakes & fruits also available. Easy to find with some parking slots on the street. Hotel has also 6 parking slots in front of bar. Nice and friendly, helpful staff in the kitchen. Clean room with nice, small bed. Check in was fast and smooth via email instructions.

Small room with small bed for tall and wide man. Also corridor is narrow and head was bent during walks on the second floor. Shore is far away from hotel and car is preferable.

Not too far from the beach and centre- taxi wise. Would recommend

Had everything you need in the room, was a nice size. Bathroom wall is stunning! Food in the bar downstairs was so well priced, really tasty and a great atmosphere! Beautiful back garden and quite high up gives a lovely view!

Very cold when I arrived, turned on the heating as soon as I got in. Didn’t take very long to heat up.

Looked bougie but was basic

The room was well decorated and looked lovely and modern the staff in the bar and serving breakfast were all friendly

The room was tiny you were unable to walk past the end of the bed comfortably the shower had no door so leaked onto the floor also poor pressure, There was no TV or even a radio ? The blinds were not fit for purpose as as soon as the sun came up the room was flooded with light, The emergency light above the door was so bright it was like attempting to sleep in a traffic light. You didn't check in so we didn't actually speak to anyone about our stay there it's very much geared to no contact which I can only assume is due to covid restrictions but we have stayed at other places and been greeted and checked in it felt very impersonal, The breakfast was nice but you didn't really get a choice and there were limited options in the continental breakfast

Comfortable and quiet

Pretty location. Very clean room, comfortable bed. Nice pub, reasonable breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Pub was not serving food that night and very few facilities in surrounding area. No TV in room. Room quite small. Breakfast was nice although would have liked some more healthier choices e.g. High fibre cereal and brown bread.

Boxing Night Stay

Decor in the rooms was lovely. Modern touches.

Bed slightly hard. Shower was big which was nice but VERY slippy. My partner couldn't have a shower because it was dangerous. No anti slip on base of shower and no shower mats provided. Checked yourself in and out. No real contact with anyone which can be good but a bit impersonal.

It was a very good location although on-site parking was limited

We were not asked about settling the bill just automatic payment taken from the card used to secure booking This is not usual practice and was not really acceptable but it was fine so no choice but to accept

Clean and comfortable. Very quiet despite being above a pub.

Towel rail required in bathroom. Bigger shower screen as when taking a shower the water escaped over the side. No plug socket by mirror for drying hair.

It looks like a posh pub :)

The room it was smaller than expected and looks in the picture. There was a green light inside the room that remained on at all times. This was dissapointing. We think it was to mark the fire exit, but it was quite bright when trying to sleep.

The breakfast was very nice, room comfortable and very clean, nice bathroom facilities.

Very noisy room (room 5) can hear people below in the bar, plus on a residential street, on bin day collection very noisy. Could do with a TV or Radio perhaps.
