About this house rental

Check out the hot tub and views at my beautiful Current River getaway just outside of Doniphan!! You will be impressed with all the amenities this home offers from the large deck, stairs to the river, and beautiful new furniture inside this spacious home. The outside features patio furniture and a BBQ grill that is perfect for the weekend getaway or family reunion. The home has 4 bedrooms (plus sectional and king air mattress in closet) and 3 full baths and sleeps 15 people.

You can walk or drive just down to the end of the road for a large gravel bar common area on Current River and you are only down river a few hundred yards from the city boat launch! You are only about 2 miles from the 2 float companies that rent tubes, kayaks, and canoes.

You will love the hot tub! Some pictures don't show the hot tub since we took those before it was added to the property.

THE HOME IS NEXT TO OTHER HOMES SO PLEASE ONLY BOOK IF YOU WILL BE RESPECTFUL OF THE NEIGHBORS AND HONOR THE CURFEW OF NO LOUD MUSIC OR YELLING AFTER 9:00PM.

We loved the view, house spacious the house was even the hot tub after a long day on the river! Although the stairs are a workout being able to walk straight down to the river was awesome! We highly reccomend this as a place to stay!

Our stay was amazing!!! Great view of the river, very relaxing and the best stocked home we have ever stayed in. Plenty of room for the kids and teenagers to spread out and hang out. Very clean and quiet neighborhood.

This was a great house and location. We had a wonderful time. Communication with home owner was amazing. We had some unfortunate damages to some of our vehicles caused by mother nature. The home owner as well as the neighbors were right there within minutes and were so helpful and caring. Will definitely be returning in the future.

For our 2024 girls trip, we decided to find a property near water with a hot tub. This Current River getaway was absolutely perfect and beautiful for our group this year. The house was set for a medium to larger group. Plenty of space (love the open living room), and the large deck out back was perfect for morning coffee and evenings watching the water. The kitchen had a ton of pans, spices, and items available for use, which helped out planning for meals after we got there. Our girls trip focus around the hot tub which gave us a wonderful view of the sunset and river at night, and a lovely way to wake up with coffee bright and early in the brisk morning. Even though it was only 3 nights, we were figuring out how to plan for the next visit we loved it so much! We loved being so close to both the river and places to see and visit, in Doniphan and in Van Buren. We drove very easily to Big Spring, Rocky Falls, and Alley Spring. The Rocky River Resort, just up the road, was an EXCELLENT outfitter for floating the river. We enjoyed a 7 mile float on the Current.

This place was huge and had an incredible view of the Current. A long hike down the bluff leads to a great little private fishing deck. The neighbor's river dog, we named him Earl, was a joyful addition as he liked to wander around and say hello. Best part about this place is the beds. Super comfortable and awesome sheets. Perfect for a long deep sleep after an all day float!

We had a large group of twelve..6 adults and 6 kids and it was perfect. It was our first time on that section of the Current River ….which we were going to float but after seeing how many motor boats were on that river we decided to drive 30 minutes to Hufstedlers and float the Eleven Point which was a great idea. The float was great! The second day we hung out at the gravel bar down the road which was nice and convenient.

We had a great time here. Swinging into the River over and over again, floating down to the sandbar. We planned to float one day, but it was rainy, so I can’t speak to the float there. Doniphan has a really great little dessert place…treat yourself to the chocolate strawberry fried pie 😋

The owner was very responsive. I can’t wait to stay there again. I would love to have stayed for a whole week. The neighborhood was so quiet and relaxing. Close to town. Very convenient.

We brought our 90-year-old dad to see his brothers. The Cabin was perfect for group dinners, playing cards, chatting on the deck, Thank you so much for the perfect spot.

Once you get to the house it nice.. host was easy to reach for any questions..but following the checkout process for the house I was uncomfortable when asked the strip the beds I always do But then it asked to start the 1st load of wash I was uncomfortable not knowing how to work the washer other then that and the few junkie looking Private property neighbors who you have to pass on the dirt road coming up to this home which is no fault of this house or its owners !!! it's nice once you get they're just don't let the neighbors scare you off on the way up lol we would Recommend this house and it's river property....

We had a great time! Beautiful property and large house. Hot tub was great! And we love the open area. Beds are really comfortable! However, maybe cleaning the windows/area around them. Overall would definitely recommend!!

We just wanted a relaxing weekend getaway and this place was absolutely perfect. Communication was great. The home is very nice and roomy. The view is amazing and we enjoyed the peace and serenity. The hot tub was also amazing. Thanks for sharing your home!

This property was perfect for our adult weekend float trip! There was plenty of room for all of us. The beds were comfortable. There are a lot of stairs to get down to the dock but the gravel bar just at the end of the road was nice too if you don’t like the stairs. We enjoyed the hot tub since it ended up being cooler/rainy on our weekend. We hope to stay again in the future. The owner was very quick to respond to our messages. Great riverside stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. All our needs & comfort were ready and waiting for us. Glorious view of the river. Sunrises were amazing. Our 3 families enjoyed time together kayaking, playing cards, and spending time together. Thank you, Ben, for this special time.

We had a wonderful family vacation staying at this property. The views from the back deck of the Current river are beautiful. The home is also very close to Rocky River retreats if you want to set up a float or canoe trip. Ben was always quick to respond to texts and allowed us a late check out which was helpful.

Overall it was a great trip. Ben responded very quickly to every question that we had and made for an easy check in process. The house was fantastic and perfectly met our needs. Very cozy and a great place to relax after days on the river. Our trip was to enjoy family time on the Current River and this location was excellent for that. The stairs were a little rough coming back up from the river but well worth it. I caught fish every morning off the dock and it was just a few hundred yards down river to the rock bar. I would recommend KC’s on the Current if you are wanting to float the river. 10/10 would recommend this location for a Currwnt River vacation!

We had a wonderful time floating, swimming, soaking our feet in the refreshing river, fishing, and reconnecting with our family/friends in the south. The large great room and deck were perfect for reminiscing and lots of laughs. This house and location is the perfect meeting spot for making memories!

We really enjoyed our stay and would most likely stay at this house again if we travel to that area in the future. The house had plenty of space for 14 people just as listed, and was quite comfortable. The steps down to the river was a little tricky, but the gravel bar close to the property was great.

We loved our stay! The house is accommodating for 2 families with kids. We grilled, cooked, enjoyed the hot tub and played many games. We did adventure out and hiked at the Narrows. Unfortunately the weather was chilly and cloudy but that didn’t stop us from having fun. We would love to go back in the summer!

We spent three nights at the property. We enjoyed the deck and large open dining and living room spaces. The road to the house is a bit rough but it isn’t to far so it’s manageable. Cleanliness could be improved.

Property has a great location with great river views and easy access to the water. Interior is spacious and comfortable. Price I thought was high, especially with all of the extra fees, but this is my first VRBO experience. Ben was very quick to respond to any questions I had.
