The Space

Rivendell Lodge is the holiday home you’ve always dreamed of! Situated in a natural bush setting, looking down toward the valley, Rivendell Lodge is secluded and private, it is 300m2 and is ideal for a family getaway. Enjoy the winter sun for a luxurious getaway, or come to enjoy the vibrant Margaret River summer. Rivendell Lodge sleeps up to 12 people and is ideally suited for more than one family. There is a Tennis court onsite and the Lodge has a full size pool table in the 100m2 lounge area

Rivendell Lodge is a classic designed, log timber country cottage. Double storied and built around a massive living space. Designed to make the most of the views; and located with easy access to bush walk trails. Walking distance to the tennis court, and boasting a cellar door on site. Plus it’s minutes from the heart of Dunsborough, Yallingup and a 30 min drive to Margaret River.

A large yard leads into the bush – immerse yourself in Australian wildlife with trees for miles, and friendly kangaroos, kookaburras and possums right on your doorstep.

Other Things to Note

Bedrooms: Rivendell Lodge has five bedrooms and two bathrooms, with three toilets. Three bedrooms upstairs each have queen size beds, and large windows take in the breathtaking views of the natural bush setting. A balcony off the master bedroom overlooks the valley and down to the creek. Downstairs, the fourth bedroom has King bed and single bed, and the fifth bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed. The Lodge has gas hot water system, and both bathrooms are tastefully decorated. Home has laundry with washer and dryer. All bedrooms have split system airconditioning

There is also a cot and a high-chair available and all Linen is supplied.

Living spaces: Rivendell Lodge is built around a massive living space, sized over 100sqm and incorporating high ceilings and natural slate floors. The newly renovated kitchen features a 900mm oven – perfect for cooking for large groups – and dishwasher; and overlooks the outdoor living area. Living room features huge dining setting and ample seating; TV, DVD player and games are available. There is also a pool table. A slow combustion fire warms the space in winter, and ducted air-conditioning creates a tranquil atmosphere for summer.

Outdoors: Patio area features seating, outdoor lounge and barbecue.

The Neighbourhood

Rivendell Lodge is located in the Rivendell estate featuring beautiful gardens, a cellar door, a tennis court and idyllic walk trails. Rivendell Lodge is only an 8 minute drive away from the stunning Smiths beach and a short drive to the Dunsborough town centre. Right in the heart of the famous Margaret River wine region. Next door to Aravina, Deep Woods wines, Forester wines, Wild Hop Brewery, Commonage coffee, Little Fish restaurant (Amazing) Wills Domain, Not far from Simmos’ ice-cream. The estate also has its own resident family of kangaroos that you can see when you go for evening walks.

House sits in Beautiful natural surroundings. It was equipped with everything we needed. For our stay . Kitchen amenities. Shampoo salt and pepper foil . Pretty much everything you could think off . The only negative i can say it needs a really good clean. Bathrooms especially. But thoroughly enjoyed our stay .

The house was lovely however the cleanliness wasnt great. The seats outside were full of dust & leaves & cigarette butts on the floor near the outdoor table, party balloons left from previous stay behind the lounge & dirty dishes in drawers & outdoor bins full not been emtied for the price we paid it shouldnt have been like that disappointed

Our stay was fabulous. The location is close to everything you might need, whilst remaining quiet and bushy. Beautiful surroundings with lots of local flora and bird life. The house has a fabulous space for two families to share. The kids loved playing pool, tennis and other games at the house. The kitchen and dining is perfect for large groups and the house was amply supplied with all the basics we needed. Thanks for a perfect little getaway!

Beautiful location among the forest where you can walk down to the lovely winery for a wine tasting or wander down to play tennis. The Lodge has everything you could possibly need for a fun filled holiday.

The house itself could do with a little updating re outside furniture. Uneven paving also was a little concerning. The outside furniture in front of the house looked as though it had not been cleaned for some time. The oven inside the house had not been cleaned properly either. For the price we paid for our stay a little disappointing. It was though an experience and as a family we still were able to enjoy the home and the surrounding bushlands.

We had a pretty good stay during our 4 night stay, and the host was responsive and very helpful. We all enjoyed our stay, the wood fire, well appointed kitchen and being surrounded by nature was great. But the property is starting to show signs of age, the images on stayz would be several years old. *The pool table needs maintenance *lots of unsettled pavers around the property *tired outdoor furniture *hammock and shade sails gone *cheap and poor condition BBQ *no wood for fire supplied

So impressed with this property. The set up of the rooms was perfect for our situation (8 adults and 3 kids). The house was extremely clean and very well stocked in everything we could have needed. Location was perfect for getting out and about. Will definitely be booking again!

Our group of 10 was extremely happy with this property.5 separate bedrooms with queen beds was a win for 4 couples + 1 adult. The 2 downstairs bedrooms with additional single beds was great for the kids.Living area was amazing and well provisioned, kitchen had everything we need.Biggest grip is that I hate cooking on Weber type barbecues! But I know I'm a minority in that department.Amazing place to stay, owner of the estate was a bit grumpy but minimal interaction so all good on that front.

Sometimes properties do not live up to the photos shown when booking. 'The Lodge' most certainly did in every way. Nothing has been overlooked. Perfect for groups of friends or families. The other accommodation is far enough away to give privacy to all. A warm and comfortable place in every way. I had to contact the owner for a personal reason and had a lovely response from him. I would not hesitate to recommend to others and hope to return myself.
