Lovely break in Whitby couldn’t ask for more

Lovely night away with friends celebrating birthdays 🥳

Location was great and fabulous breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and lovely quirky room.

Steep stairs carrying a suitcase up to the room but there was nothing else not to like.

Very good - very central

Very nice little place above coffee shop. Room was very good, comfortable bed, slept very well. Good full english breakfast to start the day's walking. Location very good - close to lots of eateries and pubs central in the town and near the harbour. Highly recommended.

Very sadly, the breakfast bacon was so overdone and hard I didnt eat it. Minor point only as rest of the breakfast was very good. There was so much good stuff on my plate I didnt need it!

Everything and more we could have hoped for.

Central location on a surprisingly quiet street. Harbour and main thoroughfare only 3-4 minutes away. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Susan (the owner) and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was served in a funky book lined room and the breakfast itself was excellent. 10/10.

Stairway was a little difficult to navigate as narrow but it’s a period property so it is what it is.

Very good

The room and bathroom were very stylish and comfortable. The location was ideal. Breakfast was well cooked and quality. All of the staff were lovely.

Excellent location. Comfortable bed. Quirky.

Little bit grubby/dusty in places. Stayed 3 nights and never had anyone in to check anything....ran out of toilet roll, teabags, shower gel etc.

Sherlocks lodgings solved!

Loved the location and the decor and the coffee shop below! It was lovely 😍

There are two narrow, steep staircases to the rooms. This is due to the age of the property but some may need a warning.

Lovely girls working in cafe and guest house, couldn't do enough fie us. Rooms loveky, clean, spacious, modern, quiet, great location

Characterful, comfortable room in the centre of Whitby, check in out of our hours was really straightforward and the cooked breakfast was filling and tasty. Can't fault our stay.

Not being told about fire escape only finding out about it when we opened wardrobe and found a rope ladder in it. Information book not very good. No room service.

Enjoyable stay, perfect location for exploring Whitby!

Great location, clean and tidy. loved the quirkiness. nice en suite, food was lovely.

lack of flexibility for breakfast time (9 to 9.15am) broken radiator valve leading to room being too hot overnight. bed frame broken, mattress kept dropping through.

good location Helpful staff. The lady in the coffee shop on our checkout in particular was really lovely and helpful

breakfast good with the exception of the Sunday morning fruit salad which was clearly a day old with brown edged apple.

A mixed bag

The BnB was well located in Whitby, the decor was very fun and funky and the staff were super friendly and nice.

The bed was super uncomfortable. The mattress sloped down from the towards the edges and it felt like you would fall out. The room was never cleaned while we were there. We were awoken early by trash collectors on the street.

Everything during our stay was superb. All staff were polite, cheerful & helpful. The place was quirky but so comfortable

Stairs were steep & narrow.......but we were warned of this before booking. Offers of carrying luggage up to our room were appreciated.

If you want somewhere different to stay you must try Sherlocks

Absolutely fantastic full English breakfast, all the staff were brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us. and the Sherlock Holmes themed eating areas were brilliant. A lot of thought has gone into this

Nothing to dislike, we enjoyed every part of our stay, Parking can be tricky in Whitby, watch out for the Traffic Wardens.
