A perfect beachfront stay!

The property was super cute, beachfront and so close to so much.

As with any accommodation that allows pets, the carpets could be replaced, eventually. We new going into it that it was a pet friendly room, and although the carpet was a little rough, it was evident that it was well cleaned. That’s my only feedback, and I’m sure the staff is aware of it as well :-)

Superb

This was our second time staying at the San Dune. We love that it is reasonably priced, easy check in, includes a refrigerator and microwave for our leftovers. And the most important thing, that our dog gets to stay with us. We like walking to the beach and setting up for several hours to play, watch kite boarders and enjoy the view. The town has a mellow vibe, some great restaurants and is a great base for further coast explorations.

I’ll try every other place first until they get new owners

Only that I can be in Manzanita…

I guess they’re new owners and they don’t give a damn and they really snotty and so is the management- the last time I was there just like four months ago there was a really nice manager and I had a really nice bed and then this time they put me in a room that had like a teenage boys bed super hard and ridiculous with a really disgusting looking phone pad on top that you get at Walmart and the whole vibe was just ugly ugly the people were mean . I love manzanita but there truly is not ONE fully comfy hotel there but the personalities here were beyond wow!…..

A little more touch...

The place was clean.

I am not sure about the remodel. There needs to be more counter space in the bathroom. Microwave on top of the fridge??? Side tables on both sides of the bed. I guess when you say fireplace... I mean a real fireplace? But we used it as a side table in the bedroom. The side tables next to the couch need to be longer. No coffee table?

Room number 8 evaluation

Manager Angela very friendly and on top of things. Price was very reasonable considering other prices in Manzanita. Liked the fact that we could only put down a little bit months before, and then pay the rest just two weeks before. Very clean. A block away from main street and businesses. Appliances were new and worked well.

Couch uncomfortable to sit on and squeaked every time you sat down or got up. Inadequate silverware. Reported this to manager Angela at checkout and she appreciated the information and would take care of it for the future. Requirement to have all dishes cleaned up before we leave and there's no dishwasher. Had to take out our own garbage and trash to the bin.

fine place near all!

clean n cute! owner was very accommodating and nice to chat with and the location was right near shops n coffee n just a few quick blocks to beach! loved it! oh and the bed was wasaaay more comfy than sunset surf- to me that actually makes them a toss up

no air conditioning- and hot days are here to stay so ductless ac units would be a great investment

Newly refurbished room with an easy walk to the beach

The location was one block off the main road which meant it was a quiet area. There were several restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance, and the beach was an easy walk.

A larger bed would have been nice and the fan in th bathroom did not work in Unit 6. Alternatively, I could not figure out how to turn it on.

Just not a great experience. I will go to Oceanside next time and get an ocean view room for less $.

I didn't realize there was a breakfast. I was really disappointed with the location of my room; I felt isolated in the back of the building.

Also, having all hardwood floors limited my little dog to only feeling comfortable sitting on the bed. The floors weren't clean so I had to wear shoes in the room; if I walked around barefoot I had to brush the sand off the bottom of my feet before getting into bed. Also, getting the keys from a lock box in the dark was a huge struggle.

Superb

This was a nicely updated motel with wood floor and modern decor. Small fridge was great for leftovers and drinks. There was room to set up dog bed. Restaurants in Manzanita are wonderful and walking distance to beach and shops.

No celing fan in the bathroom though there appeared to be two, no way to turn on. (The room did have a working floor fan tho!) Deck out back window was for another room and felt a little too much when they were out there, but only happened once as we were out exploring a lot.

Fun at the coast

Great location. Quiet street. Convenient to stores, restaurants and the beach.

The bathroom was small and needs a shelf or somewhere to put toiletries. Super high shower head makes it impossible to shower without getting your hair wet.

Pleasant and comfortable.

The location was great, easy walk to the beach and convenient parking. Getting in with a lockbox was very easy. The room was clean and very nice.

The check in time was a bit late and the staff was a bit abrupt when we got there early. The door opened in the middle of the night when it was locked, which was terrifying. The tv stopped working on the second day and we could not get the connection to work.

Very good

The bed and pillows were wonderful and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful in assisting me when I needed assistance.

The furniture in the room was extremely uncomfortable. There were two wooden high stools that were very uncomfortable to sit in and there was one two-person couch that was so low to the ground that I slid out of it while I was trying to get dressed. I did ask the management to bring me a regular full-sized chair, which they did, and that helped me out a lot. Also, there was no closet or wardrobe to hang your clothes. There was one 5 hook hat rack next to the bed, where I had to drape my clothes while I was there.

Our unit was clean and bright

The unit is clean and bright. The check in process was smooth. Distance to the beach is about 3-4 blocks reasonable walking distance.

The shower head is fixed/non-flexible. It is mounted at a minimum of 6 feet, and it sprays directly into my face. I am 5 feet tall and would have appreciated a separate spray shower hose. I am not certain how this shower works out for families with short children. We stayed in unit 9. The bed was maybe a maximum if 18 inches from the outer wall. Yet, there was at least 4 foot clearance to the right of the bed. Moving the bed to the right by at least a foot would allow the person accessing the bed from the left to not have to “scoot” their their way in and out. There is a nice note reminding guests to be mindful about closing doorstep, and minimizing noise. We experienced no difficulties with noisy doors. However, our neighbor in unit 10 decided to rearrange the furniture at 4:45 am by dragging it across the floor!
