On the beach, easy walk into main shops, Poppy who we dealt with is a real gem, very friendly,lovely

Didn’t have breakfast .. very comfortable

All good, they need to add movies to their sky subscription ..

Overnight on the wy to Hanmer & West Coast.

Well located friendly helpful staff

Lack of self catering - I was surprised at the limited utensils, crockery etc. When I reread the booking info I could see that this was specified in the information so should have known.

It was fine for what we wanted but a bit overpriced

Just a nice walk across the road to the sea.

We couldn't make breakfast as there was no toaster, cooker or cutlery. Quite pricey for the lack of amenities, it is close to eateries though

Lovely motel in great location.

Great location opposite the beach and near restaurants and shops. Clean and comfortable room.

No reception so no one to ask for help when we were having trouble with TV.

Would like a couple of chairs outside motel unit to enable a sit in the sun etc.

Great location, right on the beach, easy to find and park. Very good apartment, just as described. Pleasant walk to the shops and restaurants. Very helpful staff.

So close to the beach you can listen to the waves crashing as you fall asleep.

A portable cooktop / hot plate would be a valuable addition, as just having a single microwave as the cooking facilities in a ‘2 bedroom apartment’ for a family is a bit rough.

Would like to have had blinds on the bedroom window so that during daylight you didn't have to have the curtains drawn

Location was fantastic, it wasn’t what we expected due to the photos and unit was let down by smell

Unit was not the same as the one shown in the picture. Place smelt damp. Shower flooded, soaking the lounge carpet. Staff did their best to soak up with towels. Could have been cleaner, a few lost property items under furniture in the rooms.

No cooking facilities, no toaster, no plates, no cutlery. Apparently not insured for use of a toaster! should not be described as a motel.

Good location on beach front, but old motel, poor facilities, definitely not good value for money.

Good location, adequate laundry facilities, but not much else.

Old motel which looks like it is scheduled for demolition and replacement by a new build. No on-site management, need to contact the next door property. Studio had no sink for dishes so had to use the bathroom basin! Bed was comfortable but otherwise facilities well below average despite relatively high pricing. We spent three weeks touring the South Island and this motel was easily the worst we experienced on our trip, but definitely not the cheapest!

Stayed in a superb one bed apt., with large lounge/dining/kitchen area as well as outdoor seating area overlooking the sea.

Couldn’t fault our accommodation here.

Lovely place to stay and enjoy Kaikoura

Location was fabulous just 10 minutes walk along the sea front for a variety of options for eating and drinking. Contactless check in, hassle free. Plenty of room for your bags etc

Very small television. Lot of running water sound Fridge vibrated - had to move the second tray out (fan is out of balance causing this)

price matched local costs but very simple facility, no toaster or plates just a jug and cups but sleeping was very comfo

the bed was very comfortable

the fridge froze half our food so we had to throw it out. then when I turned it down the second night it defrosted my frozens in the freezer, we lost a lot of food

Overall fine

No breakfast. Great location. Glad it wasn’t hot as difficult to ventilate. Very basic wouldn’t pay anymore.

A toaster would have been helpful
