Henry’s Lake Haven is a brand new vacation rental cabin that's in a perfect location for enjoying Yellowstone Park, Henry’s Lake State Park, and all of the amazing outdoor activities available in Island Park, Idaho! This 1325 sq. ft., 3 bedroom / 2 bath cabin sleeps 6 comfortably and is only 18 miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone Park, a scenic drive that takes less than 20 minutes. It’s also only a quarter mile from Henry’s Lake State Park, a world class trout fishing lake. Enjoy several miles of hiking trails in the park with a trailhead just a short distance from the house.
Tucked down a dirt road in a quiet neighborhood, Henry’s Lake Haven is a wonderful place to relax and look for wildlife. The views from the front of this house are spectacular and encompass small wetlands, Henry’s lake, and Black mountain. The very large 580 sq. ft. deck is a perfect spot to sit with family and friends. Fox kits play in the yard in spring. Sandhill cranes, bald eagles, pelicans, gulls, ducks, osprey, and bluebirds are often flying overhead. Moose and swans are seasonally seen. If it gets a bit buggy out relax indoors on comfortable couches with screened windows and beautiful views.
The entire family will enjoy this location. The area has an abundance of wildlife and depending on the season you may see antelope, elk, bear, moose, and many other varieties of animals. Lake access is walking distance (park pass may be required) and you can fish from the shore. Hiking trails bring you to the slough, where trumpeter swans nest in the spring. The park has a boat launch if you bring your own boat or you can rent one from several places nearby. The lake is known for incredible trophy sized trout and has cutthroat, cut-bow, and brookies. Excellent stream fishing can also be found in the nearby Henry's Fork and Madison rivers.
Inside, the tasteful decor is inviting. The furniture is comfortable. The great room contains a spacious and well-equipped cook’s kitchen, a dining table that seats 6, and a living area with a cozy gas fireplace, leather furniture, and a 65" TV. The comfortable master bedroom has a king size bed and an adjoining bathroom with a large shower and separate tub. Two other bedrooms have queen size beds and there is a second full bathroom. We had a wonderful stay at Henry’s Lake, the house was extremely homey, had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful, the wildlife is plentiful. During our stay, we saw 6 moose, fox,and several birds. We used the house as home base for our day trips to Yellowstone. We also drove to Ennis, which is a very nice town, and enjoyed lunch there.
In closing I highly recommend Henry’s Lake you won’t be dissatisfied.

Great location, only 20 minutes from Yellowstone entrance. Went to Playhouse theater 5 minutes away one evening & it was an awesome show & dinner. The house was fully stocked and totally recommend staying here.

Just returned from a 7 day stay! Cabin was very well equipped with everything you need!! Beautiful view from the deck! Moose and foxes were very active in the morning and evenings! Owner had amazing communication! Don’t hesitate booking here! It’s amazing! Only a 20 minute drive to Yellowstone!

We overall enjoyed our stay at this home. The one complaint was we had to wash towels nightly to be able to have fresh washcloths and towels daily. And it was hot in the house. It may have been warmer than normal this time of year, I’m not sure. The fans helped but not much. I know homes here do not generally have AC which we are used too. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well. The owner I spoke to by text was helpful when I contacted her once. Overall we enjoyed staying here. The view was beautiful.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Henry's Lake. The home was in excellent proximity to West Yellowstone for all of our day trips & still enough removed from the busy tourist traffic to enjoy the peace & serenity of the lake. The home was clean, has a well stocked kitchen, easy communication with owner & booking agent, & was an all around pleasant experience. We would highly recommend this home & area to anyone traveling to Yellowstone & Grand Teton parks. We loved this trip & definitely would book again!! Gorgeous views, peaceful area & clean! Thank you for a great place to rest after long busy days in Yellowstone.

The cabin was awesome. We spent most of our time at Yellowstone but it was nice to relax in front of the fireplace at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Drank coffee on the deck and waited for the moose to make his daily visit. Really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay here!! This house was so well stocked and furnished with everything we needed and more. The location to Yellowstone was great. We enjoyed the views of the lake, the mountains and the wildlife. Especially the moose! Would come back in a minute and highly recommend to others.

This is a wonderful gem a short drive to West Yellowstone and the entrance to Yellowstone. It is a new home with everything in pristine conditions. A short walk to a state park where I caught a very large trout within 45 minutes. The photos of the view absolutely do not do the 180 degree view justice. We stayed for 4 days and rushed back from Yellowstone each day to sit on the deck and watch the sunset.

Great place to stay. Very clean and we appreciated the little extras. My only suggestion is to provide more towels and better pillows.

Even though it was out of the park it was well worth it. Beautiful view overlooking Henry lake and quiet. The house was perfect with everything you need or want. Will definitely come back. Thank you for the wonderful vacation!

Myself, husband, sister, and two year old stayed here for three nights as part of our trip to visit Yellowstone. It was in the perfect location to rest! It was roughly 15-20 minutes drive to West Yellowstone and the west gate. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood with limited traffic. It was a great stop for us to rest and recharge after three days through Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. The house had all the amenities needed from bear spray, bug spray, shampoo, kitchen utensils, and coffee. We loved our stay so much we actually wound up staying one more extra night. It is the perfect place for our family and we highly recommend it to anyone!

This property is the perfect location to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons (we drove in two days to YNP and one to the Tetons). The property is clean and well-maintained, has everything you need, and the view is actually more beautiful than the pictures. It is a fabulous property. We would definitely stay here again.

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! It was wonderful! The location, views and wildlife were amazing! We enjoyed watching a fox with her 6 kits and several moose from the deck. The home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Perfect place to come back to after long days exploring Yellowstone. Quiet and beautiful location. Very peaceful and away from the crowds. We are already talking about when we can get back to Henry’s Haven!

Can't say enough good things about this property. Exactly as described. Clean, comfortable beds, and lots of little extras that made our stay perfect. Not far from the west entrance of Yellowstone, yet remote enough to avoid the crowds. Enjoyed stargazing at night on the porch and watching moose in the mornings from the living room window. Property owner was excellent in communicating with us via email prior to our stay, including offering detailed directions and access information. Would definitely love to stay there again if we are ever back in the area!

The house, property and view was fantastic! We enjoyed the front deck for coffee before kicking off our days in the park and then returned to the deck to star gaze in the evenings. The kitchen was really well stocked and the owners allow renters to leave food items so that’s extra nice! Very quiet neighborhood so if you are looking to be close but not too close to people it’s a great option. We really enjoyed our stay!

Our family of four (two adults, 16 and 13 year old) had a wonderful stay at Henry’s Lake Haven. It is a wonderful place to stay for visiting western side of Yellowstone Park. The home is spacious, full of amenities for cooking meals, and the view from the deck is beautiful.
We purchased groceries and a cooler/ice at a Wal Mart in Idaho Falls (we flew into Salt Lake City). It was great having breakfast on the deck, packing a lunch for the park and coming back to cook dinner. Saved $$! There are grocery stores in West. Yellowstone that we stopped at for a few items.
We loved the time we had at The Haven, our only regret was we weren’t there longer. (We moved to the Canyon Lodge to visit the east side of the park. Here the food options are limited and we missed the space we had here).

We really enjoyed this property. The home was lovely and even bigger than expected. The location and views were top notch. We enjoyed every evening out on the front deck, watching the sunset. We never saw animals other than birds and the cows on the drive in/out, but it was still beautiful. A short drive to the west entrance of yellowstone. We happened to stay during one of the hottest weeks of the year and the home did get warm during the day (we didn't stick around though so it was fine), but it cooled off plenty at night. Communication was great with the host and the owner and check in and out was a breeze.

Picturesque view
Breathtaking! I’m not a morning person but find myself waking up early just to enjoy view. My family and I didn’t get a chance to see any wildlife around the property during our stay so we must come back and stay longer next time. Will definitely recommend this cabin to friends and family.

Magical location and property
Amazing views and property. Home is in pristine condition and extremely clean with every amenity imaginable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. The icing on the cake was the 3 moose that visited us the first night we were there. We looked out the window to see them in the front yard munching on the grass. What a sight to behold!! Highly recommend!

The house was awesome, it had everything we needed, full kitchen, laundry, bathroom supplies. Very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, quiet surroundings and plenty of room for all 5 of us. We saw the local moose and fox a couple of times. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for such a nice place!

Relaxing lake getaway
Absolutely stunning location/view...high enough to see clear across the lake to the surrounding mountains, but yet close enough to be within easy walking distance of the state park with public access to the lake. We saw foxes and a moose right from the front porch! We reserved free kayaks from the park to take out on the lake. It's a bit of a drive to get into Yellowstone (especially if it's a busy time of year), so make sure you factor that into your plans.
The house itself had lots of room to stretch out and was in fantastic shape...the deep soaking tub was especially nice! Was really hot and stuffy the first night we arrived though and without A/C we didn't sleep well the first night, but all other nights it was in the 50's which was perfect for keeping the windows open...the strong fans helped as well. The wireless internet was plenty fast and we had good Verizon cell service...we really appreciated the custom USB ports at the head of the bed too.
Overall it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for our family and this lake house was a big part (probably an even bigger part than Yellowstone for my kids since they didn't like all the time in the car). I interacted with the owner one time when we lost power/water pressure and she was quick to respond and very cordial. I give this property an A+!

Overall great stay!
Overall our family really enjoyed this cabin - the extra small items that were provided/left from other renters was a nice plus and we contributed some to this stash as well. The cabin itself was incredibly clean. The lower rating is because of the lawn, it was very tall and made the outside of the house look sloppy. The location was nice, but a bit odd how there were some very nice homes and others run down. Again, we overall enjoyed this rental and I’d rather the place I’m sleeping be clean than the lawn be manicured. Enjoy your stay!

Peaceful and beautiful place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay here very much! The view from the deck is unbeatable! There was a lot of wildlife to watch as well. Only about 20 minutes to the entrance of Yellowstone. There is no air conditioning, which normally wouldn’t be an issue, but it was hot the week we stayed. The fans helped and we were gone during the hot part of the day anyway. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! Thank you!!

The cabin was conveniently located to visit the Yellowstone park everyday. The kitchen was fully equipped. The house was very clean and had all amenities. We 4 adults and a child were able to stay comfortably in the house. The host was easily available over chat to help us with any questions we had. Overall fantastic stay at this vacation rental.

We were looking for a good home base for our first visit to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We were all thrilled with this wonderful, cozy home at Henry’s Lake. It was just a short drive to the West Entrance of Yellowstone and was in the most picturesque location. We enjoyed watching a mother fox and her kits play everyday, and we saw a mother moose with her twins all from the living room windows.The house itself had everything we needed for our stay. Our group included my parents, me & my husband, and our sons (14 & 12). We also appreciated the helpful notebook full of various recommendations for the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Beautiful spot to visit Yellowstone
New house! Great location less than 30 minutes to Yellowstone. We saw fox and Moose right from the front porch. We had an unusually hot week and there is no air conditioning.

The cabin was exactly like the pictures and very well stocked. There were enough paper goods for our whole stay, not a "starter supply" like a lot of places, laundry detergent, and even shampoo and conditioner. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family of four to spread out. We enjoyed the views of the lake and mountains. We used the cabin as a base to explore Yellowstone. It was about a twenty minute drive to the entrance.
