The bed was a little firm for us and a blind on the front door would have helped with privacy as if you left the bedroom door open there was a view straight through.

Very pleasant, accessible for Heritage Centre and good walks.

It’s location, uniqueness, comfort in pleasant quiet surroundings.

We rented the Bat Loft and had not appreciated that there was not a table for meals. Carrying hot food down a twist, steep staircase to a table in the conservatory was hazardous.

Perfect getaway for a family break.

We were met by the owners. Extremely friendly and helpful with good local knowledge. We were made to feel at home and our toddler loved the toybox. The location was great for exploring. Would definitely rebook.

Best Outdoor Break

Very good location if you need a break from the city. Outdoor experience was spot on with St Anthony Well being 5 mins walk away.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but that's all.

Great location Particularly for motorcycles

Amazing location in the centre of the forest Exceptionally well appointed apartment Would definitely stay again, good base for our motorcycling tour. Fully equipped for reduced mobility, amazing high investment from owners

Not much outside seating on our room as we had to share with neighbouring room. They're were no real negatives with this property

Excellent facilities and welcoming hosts

Very well appointed accommodation, clean, fresh and comfortable. Dog friendly and very welcoming.

Only thing that would make this even better would be walking distance from a pub :-)

The owner was very accommodating. They live onsite and was very helpful and friendly throughout the visit. We had booked out 3 of the rooms and was very spacious and perfect for a group of friends. The area is very nice, being in a small woodlands makes for some really interesting walks, over a weekend we didn't have enough time to explore fully.

We didn't get to see the boar (apparently there is a boar in the woods)

Very good

The Building is lovely and the history of the property is great. Everything is pretty newly refurbished. The location is nice and quiet off the beaten track.

The only thing which we noticed was the stairs area up to our bat room often smelt like drains, there was a toilet in this area, but the smell never reached our room which was good.

Very good

Property location is very peaceful and remote but not too far to drive to local shops. Great for walking out into the woods from the back door. Accommodation and facilities were very good, ¹well equiped and clean.

Peace, quiet, and a fantastic shower !

We liked everything, the location, the owners, the walks, the peace and quiet, everything was great. The building is fantastic, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and a shower that you don't want to get out of. Under floor heating that keeps feet toasty. We will be back soon (our 5th time)

Perfect for a quiet, get away from it all, walking weekend with the freedom of your own apartment.

Gill and her husband were very friendly and informative about the local area without being intrusive. They went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The area was very beautiful with fantastic walks from the front door as well as further out into the forest. The apartment was very nicely renovated with some of the original features kept, and the whole pumping station building was beautiful and fascinating, with a lovely garden to look out over. The short walk to St Anthony's well was beautiful and the well itself idyllic.

We didn't find the seating that comfortable, but that is a very personal thing. Also, the duvet was too short for a tall person! Other than that, the accommodation was great.

Great stay thank you, we’ll be back!

Gill and Kate couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming. The apartment was huge with a beautiful kitchen and living room, great bedrooms and bathrooms. It was all sparkling clean. Great walking from the doorstep and town was only a short drive away.

We should have booked to stay another night!
