Inside, you'll find a beautifully renovated and designed home featuring high vaulted ceilings, lustrous floors, and lots of natural light that cascades in through large windows, filling the home with an inviting ambiance. Use the full kitchen to cook up tonight's culinary triumph, then enjoy it on the wood dining table, in front of the wood-burning fireplace, or out on the screened-in porch with glasses of refreshing iced tea or local wine. You'll love tubing along Blanco River for a relaxing afternoon and heading into downtown Wimberley for some awesome sightseeing. Want a little exercise? Climb over 200 steps to the summit of 'Old Baldy' then reward yourself with a panoramic view of the Hill Country. For more amazing views of Texas, take FM 32 from Wimberley to Blanco, across what's known as the 'Devil's Backbone' on Edwards Plateau. Jacob's Well (seven miles north) is a phenomenal and popular swimming hole fed by The Trinity Aquifer 120-feet below. The mouth of the natural artesian spring is only 12-feet in diameter and is a popular attraction to both experienced cave-divers and summertime swimmers alike. Both Luna Rio and Luna Rio Main House can be rented separately/together. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was cold, when was actually nice as it was over 100 degrees. The river was very low, but we were able to finda little water to play in. We saw deer and wild turkeys. We could only give 3 stars as the water from the shower and sinks smelled like sewer and we were afraid to use the ice or brush our teeth with it. The property was nice though. Would not stay again until water issue is resolved.

This was possibly the worst vacation rental I’ve ever used. The river view, as pictured, is a lie. The oven was broken. The internet was intermittent causing the tv and cell service to constantly stop. I was charged for leaving some clothes there that they said would mail to me but never did. The Roku tv had no instructions and would not turn on. Their is a mandatory hot tub fee but their are no instructions on how to make it work. There is an additional cleaning fee for no reason. There are at least four additional fees that do not have a reason associated with them. Get the point. I’m tired of talking about this place. It is a property management scam and you will be taken advantage of. DO NOT GO HERE!

The location was great, close to town down river road but felt very secluded with private river access. Water level was low but still enjoyed it. The cabin felt private considering there is a main house on the property which was also rented. It’s tucked away in the cedar trees. The inside was much better than the online pics. Very clean and nicely decorated. The screened in porch was really enjoyably. We brought a portable fan and set it up on the patio which helped. The cell service is very minimal so it would have been helpful to have check-in/out instructions printed inside the home as well as the Wi-Fi info. Overall it was such a great getaway and would definitely recommend it.

The Luna Rio is a nice newer (renovated?) cabin in a beautiful setting, not exactly riverside but only maybe a few hundred yards down a nice path to the Blanco River. My spouse & I only stayed for two nights & spent a lot of that time checking out the Wimberly area, but I would have liked to have more time for relaxing in the screened-in porch and hot tub. Directions for the hot tub controls would be helpful, but it seemed very clean & the water temp was great. There is another, larger house on the property, but there were enough trees & bushes and distance between the two buildings to still afford a decent amount of privacy. We only reheated some food and made sandwiches while staying there, but the kitchen seemed nicely stocked and everything was very clean. We really appreciated the ice maker in the freezer! The living room area had plenty of seating & lots of windows to enjoy the views (we saw hummingbirds, cardinals, turkey, lots of deer and a grey fox). Adding blinds would be nice, since you'd have to move a lot of furniture if you wanted to close the curtains at night. In the bedroom, the only closet was locked and there was nowhere to put bags/suitcases except the floor. A luggage rack or two would be very helpful there. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the room had a wall of windows and a door directly to the screened-in porch, which was very nice. The one bathroom was the only real negative. While it was clean and had plenty of towels, the toilet was crammed in behind the door, it needed more towel racks or hooks, and the shower curtains rigged up around the tub to make it a shower were really inconvenient - there was nowhere to set your shower stuff, you couldn't bend over without sticking to the curtains, and my taller-than-average husband had difficulty getting under the shower head. Minor inconveniences in the grand scheme of things, but inconvenient nonetheless. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thought it was a good value.

This was an amazing anniversary weekend getaway for my wife and I! We came up to enjoy and explore the area! Wimberley was great to explore, but Luna Rio Cabana stole the show! We decided that the cabana and river access were all we needed and left the outside world behind us! The enclosed back porch was amazing especially to enjoy the sounds of the brief thunderstorm that passed through!
