About this house rental
Amazing views of the collegiate peaks. Perfect for families our vacation home is located in a quiet neighborhood just 1.5 miles to BV Main st. New construction completed in May 2020. 12 minute scenic drive to Mount Princeton or Cottonwood hot springs. 45 minutes to Monarch Ski area. Our home is well furnished with everything you need to recharge after your outdoor adventures or as a quiet place to just relax and enjoy the views. With 2000sf of space, our home offers plenty of room to spread out. Our main living area features an open layout with comfortable furniture and offers fantastic views of Mt Princeton. The large kitchen is well equipped to create all your favorite meals and there is also a propane grill on the deck. The deck offers views to the north and is an excellent place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening meal. All 4 bedrooms are furnished with high quality mattresses and bedding (including the bunks) with blackout shades and ceiling fans. There is a full laundry room and guests have access to a secure garage spot for parking or storage.
***Need Extra Room? Our house also contains a fully furnished 400sf apartment with a queen bedroom, bathroom and additional kitchen. The space has its own private entrance but there is also an interior security door that can be opened to access it from the house. Message us for availability.

Our rules are clear about loud behavior and partying. You are responsible for all members of your group. If you disturb our neighbors or can't live without a cigarette you will be asked to leave. Seriously.
The house is a bi-level there are stairs to the main level, one lower bedroom and bath can be accessed without stairs.
There is a limit of 4 vehicles that can be parked at our property. We can accommodate toy trailers and campers as well, but please check with us first to verify they will fit.
Our neighbors and their families live and work in BV. We love them and especially their kids (human and furry). Please be careful driving through our streets.
A note on COVID-19 to all of our guests:
We are very excited you are coming to stay at our property and want to give you a few additional items of information due to the circumstances regarding COVID-19.
We are following all Chaffee County guidelines to reopen our property safely. You will see additional signs when you arrive, and there will be information in the property manual. Please read it carefully. You can also be assured that our cleaning personnel are following strict guidelines.
Before your trip:
Please stay home if you have any symptoms.
Please plan to bring a mask to use while in our county. Chaffee County is asking for folks to practice social distancing and wear masks when in public.
While on your trip:
You will see signs asking you to remove your shoes before entering the property. We ask that you abide by these standards.
If you become sick during your stay, you are asked to self-report to Chaffee County Public Health (contact information for CCPH and local hospitals will be in the property manual).

House was nice, neighborhood was just ok. Couple of small things: lights in shower stall burnt out, squeaky bedroom/bathroom doors, living room blind was cockeyed.

Great house for a large family vacation! House was comfortable and had large family areas (kitchen/living room). The pinball was the teenagers favorite!

We had a really great time staying at this place over a weekend. Nice layout, great views, quiet neighborhood, great accommodations. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay with plenty of room for 6 adults and three children.

It was as advertised, clean,large for our 11 family members. It was well stocked with necessities.Large deck,with a grill,we didn't use it,but it could be used.The property was close to all the areas the family members wanted to experience.
The other family members were in the same neighborhood, or in downtown Buena Vista .

We had a great stay! The property was beautiful and spacious and had everything we needed. The view from the deck is amazing! We used the BBQ one evening and it worked great. The beds were comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was a big plus. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Home was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. Plenty of room for 2 families and close to everything. Host was attentive and had great communication. Definitely recommend for a home base in the Buena Vista/Salida area.

Nice escape from the front range!
This house feels brand new still. Beautiful, gleaming hardwood floors, huge kitchen, and plenty of bedroom space to spread out.
The pinball machine was a hit, we all really enjoyed it. The back deck that stretches across the back of the house from the kitchen to the bedroom was really nice as well. We were able to enjoy views from the front and back of the house. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet so we were all able to get a good night sleep. The only improvement I would suggest is to the vertical blinds, in particular in the master bedroom. There are several panels missing so it's not as private in the evening and light does come in first thing in the morning. It wasn't really a big deal but just not in line with the rest of the house.
Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby for when you are not out enjoying all of the recreational opportunities in the BV area.

House was great, kitchen/baths very nice. Main part of house is big open room w/vaulted ceilings. Plenty of space for my family (group of 8) and had everything we needed. One thing to note: you only get the top part of a bi-level house (and one bdrm/bath of the lower part). The bottom part of the house is a separate apartment that the owners (or their fam/friends) stay in. This was not divulged in the listing upfront. We only found out the day before our trip, where it was stated on check-in instructions. This was not so much an issue for us, but we felt that it was wrong not to clearly state this upfront in the listing. Also, since it’s not technically an “entire place”, but only half of the house, we felt it should have been lower priced than other “entire places” in the area, but it was actually the most expensive out of all the options we were looking at. We own a VRBO ourselves down in Denver and I manage several for other owners, so I am particularly bothered when I see other owners doing something I don’t find right. I expressed this to Mateo, he apologized and said he arranged to have the apt be vacant during our stay. I told him that wasn’t really necessary but we did appreciate him trying to remedy the situation, however, we would have just preferred if it were stated in the listing so we could have known before making a decision to book. We likely still would have booked, but to find out after booking (and the day before our trip no less), was pretty frustrating. It’s not as if we planned to be extremely loud, but we did have a child (my son) who likes to run/jump around and can be pretty loud at times. Feeling like we were going to have to shush him a lot to avoid bothering the owners or others below us was not ideal. Also, the pinball machine- we thought it was awesome they had it there, my brother and my son loved playing it, however it is EXTREMELY loud. And the echo-ey room made it even louder. I can’t imagine it not being super annoying for anyone who might be in the apt below. If it wasn’t vacant I likely would have never let them play it, rendering it useless. Also with the big open room, any sounds (talking, tv, cooking) were amplified even to the bdrms down the hall. So anyone who wished to go to bed before others would be kept up by sounds of others still awake. Overall the place was great other than these issues. I just hope they will state this in the listing now so others aren’t surprised with it at last minute.

Perfect Family Get Away
The house was perfect. We had a group of 9 people and there was plenty of space for everyone. We made Thanksgiving Dinner in the kitchen and all the supplies were provided. The location is great and near town. We had some questions before and during our stay and the owner responded immediately. We will definitely be back.
