A lovely, homely B&B and great value for money!

The hosts were really friendly, affable and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptional with a wide choice of quality options and very generous portions. Faultless. It felt very much like a home from home and was terrific value for money. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we were in the area.

This is a very small point. The shower cubicle could do with updating but, to be fair, it worked perfectly well. Everything else was perfect.

Lovely home in convenient location.

Very friendly host and a very pleasant room with everything you could want. Lovely bathroom and plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and presented. Suitable for singles or couples. Very convenient for Nottingham, Southwell, etc. Pleasant setting on edge of village overlooking open countryside.

Greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone!

Hosts were extremely friendly an helpful - it was like staying with a friend. Breakfast excellent and all the little touches, like offering to help with bags and remembering our names made the stay several notches above a 'normal' B&B. Highly recommended.

Wish we'd found this before! Perhaps the option of blackout blinds - the streetlight was bright outside.

Excellent Bed & Breakfast. Spacious, clean, friendly. Extremely quiet. Would certainly stay again.

King size bed and large room. Very clean and comfortable. Needed an iron to use, no problem. In fact nothing was too much trouble for our lovely hosts. Very quiet. Easy to get to. Excellent breakfast.

Perfect B&B and would've liked to have stayed longer

Perfect B&B for our needs. Excellent and friendly hosts, easy to communicate with, happy to ensure our stay fitted with our itinerary (attending a family wedding and happy to accommodate our early check-in), well-appointed and comfortable rooms with extensive breakfast offer including home-cooked full breakfast served at the time of our choosing. Great value and highly recommend.

Amazing

Very professional and caring hosts, amble parking, amazing views from the room. Hosts were kind enough to drop us to the wedding venue. Good traditional breakfast each morning, we couldn’t have asked for more!!

Relaxing stay with delicious breakfast.

The room was quiet, clean and well equipped, the property was in a very quiet, safe location. The owner was friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was superb - the best guest house breakfast we have EVER had. We'll definitely be back. Ten out of ten.

Exceptional

It was a lovely, quiet location with lovely views across the countryside. The room was comfortable and the bathroom spotless. We had a really warm welcome from Kevin, who was keen to help however he could, and gave us advice on where to go to eat, given we didn't get there until after 7. Breakfast options were varied but we opted for the full English (of course!) which was spot on, washed down with tea. If that's not your thing, there was fruit, cereal and toast making stuff available too and, if you have the capacity, you could have it all! We were only there for one night but, if we need somewhere to stay I that neck of the woods again, we will certainly go back. Thanks Kev. :)

Lovely place, clean, comfortable and homely.

I’ve stayed here several times and always enjoy it, Kevin is a perfect host and is always on hand to make sure I feel welcome, plus his breakfasts are brilliant. The room is perfect, clean, tidy and very homely.

A warm personal welcome in a lovely home !

Kevin and Anne- Marie gave us a genuine welcome. They were warm and friendly checking we had what we needed. Nothing was too much trouble! The cooked breakfast really was home cooked and personalised. We were treated so well !

Perfectly quiet for "Working from Home".

I was looking for somewhere to be able to take my daughter for the night so she could concentrate on her revision before her GCSE mocks started away from the madness of our own home and close enough for our spa day at Eden Hall the next day. I wanted somewhere quiet, with plenty of space for her to spread out whilst allowing me to chill out with a book. Grange House ticked all the boxes that I needed ticking and it did so within a very reasonable budget. The room we had was ideal for this to happen. It was quiet with a view from the window that was gorgeous - allowing my daughter to take relaxing breaks occasionally. She spread out over the large double bed and got everything done that she needed to do with no distractions. The TV and drinks provided in the room were also ideal for taking a break - Strictly was watched from the very comfortable double bed before heading back to the next GCSE subject. The area is in extremely quiet - with no passing traffic or noise - which allowed for concentrating on the work that was being done. Even the owners and their dogs were hardly heard during our stay. The room was warm, comfortable and everything I hoped for with my weekend away plan and my daughter managed to do all her planned revision in good time. Breakfast was perfect and Kevin and Anne-Marie could not have been more helpful. There was cereal, fruit and a very lovely cooked breakfast on offer and the dining area was comfortable. We did share our table with the other guest there but it was more like a family table than a hotel style and it was rather lovely. Kevin's offered help was also extremely welcome when we both arrived and left as he helped carry our bags to and from our vehicle. My only piece of constructive feedback would be to maybe have a table or desk in the bedroom (a foldaway one would be perfect) for anyone wanting to work whilst they stay but this is more of a niggle than anything else as the bed worked perfectly well for revision.

Apart from the feedback for a small desk or table in the room - there is nothing I would post as a negative.

Friendly Host, Great Location and Good value for money

Location was ideal for a short weekend stay to visit Rutland. The area is quiet and yet very reasonable to get into Nottingham. Breakfast was very generous and the host accommodated us with various options.
