Incredible And Would Highly Recommend

There wasn't any breakfast but I knew this before I booked. From the moment I booked in, there was genuine warmth from all the staff, they are totally incredible people. Everything you could have wanted in the room was there and oh, the place was spotless. One would think that rooms above a pub would be noisy but no! of course one would hear a hum of noise but, it was happy noise, laughter, everyone so cheery. Even when the pub was closing, people were calling out their goodbyes and they were happy, no problems. They had a live band there on the 2nd night and they were brilliant! Going to the old town Hastings is like being in a different world because of their genuine warmth and friendliness no matter if they knew you or not. I met the Manager of the Jenny Lind, she was great, so efficient and yet so genuine in her care for not just the patrons of the pub but the guests that were staying also. I could go on and on but all I will say is, if you need a relaxing break amongst the most genuine people I have met in a very long time, it HAS to be the Jenny Lind.

There was nothing about the Old Town or the Jenny Lind that I did not like but, what I did not like was having to go in to Hastings which was like walking in to another country, boarded up shops, fights, people laying on the ground drunk, drugged up people walking towards you like zombies...like a mini Beirut, Hastings was horrendous and so, Old Town it has to be if you want the perfect break, there is none of the problems that exist in main Hastings town centre in the Old Town.

Kleiner Hotelbetrieb über einem Pub gelegen. Saubere Zimmer, tolle Lage, nette Leute.

Bereits um 10 Uhr auschecken zu müssen, ist schon etwas jugendherbergsmäßig und kommt fast nem Rauswurf gleich.

Stayed for 2 nights over the weekend great atmosphere in town plenty of free live music

Great location in the heart of hastings old town. 5 mins walk from seafront & 2 mins from all the lovely independent shops, pubs & eateries..

Great Location Lovey pub traditional pub with a great athomspher , friendly welcoming staff

The only issues wa found was the curtains could be better blackout type as the existing ones let do much early morning light in , still we had a wonder time .

Clean, comfortable rooms above a music friendly pub

The Jenny Lind rooms are above a friendly pub that programs a lot of music, in one of the main old town streets, so if you're looking for calm, you should probably book elsewhere. The rooms are smallish but very clean with possibility to make tea coffee with biscuits.

We had not understood that there was no food on the premises. Rooms can be quite warm in summer but there was a fan in the cupboard

Great place to stay in centre of old town

Clean, very comfortable bed

Bed was so comfortable and I’m incredibly fussy, generally struggling with insomnia away from home and I slept a solid night

I had to ask for mugs as they had been forgotten. Had to pay for parking on street, perhaps my error for not reading property details but assumed they would have their own parking

Great place to stay for a night or two to explore Hastings.

Our staff contact Seb was great at explaining the room and the safety requirements. He answered our questions very well. The Jenny Lind itself looked to be a great pub! Sadly we didn't grab a drink this time, but next time, for sure! The room was very clean and quiet, and the bathroom facilities were great–we had a bathtub!

The matress for the bed could have used a topper or something to have made it a bit more comfortable. Also, there was a local BT wifi but my friend and I couldn't use this on our phones. I was able to use it with my iPad, though.

Lovely place to spend the night. We were entertained with the Shanty songs and the staff were very helpful.

Cute pub,quaint street,central.

Lovely staff,fab little pub really central in a cute old town street.Tea,coffee,hot choc,free water ,fridge,toiletries..hairdryer,kettle,cute room with separate entry.

Mattresses were strangely crackly and not very comfortable but would endure them for a quick visit as everything else was great.

Really lovely cute little room, the staff were fantastic and the bath was absolutely massive, so happy.

Young man very helpful upon arrival and offered to take our bags upstairs, explained exits etc

Location was good . Nice stroll to the front and most places .

Bed very uncomfortable . Parking close by was a challenge . No breakfast available however there was an option just across the street.

Staff were very pleasant. Location good. Beer gardens nice.

Internet was non existent. The breakfast deal was to purchase breakfast vouchers (£7.50 each) for cafe across the road. They didn’t tell us that didn’t open until 9 am. Thank goodness we never bought them - we needed breakfast at 8.00. Pub music far too loud - unable to talk to staff without us all moving out of bar.

Comfortable and friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good beer and even a sing-song in the public bar on a Thursday night. Easy, short walk to the centre of the old town.

Definately worth a visit for a great location, helpful staff and a comfortable bed

Excellent location in the Old Town. Easy walking (2 minutes) distance to George Street (restaurants/pubs) the Pier/New Town, the beach front and to the fisherman's quarter. Although the accomodation is above a Pub the (mid week) evenings I stayed were generally quiet and (Seb) and the staff in general were polite and helpful. Thumbs up to the cleaners too as my room was immaculate

Little niggles were that the small fridge was a bit noisy as were my neighbours (who spoke loudly) in the bedroom next door. (Thin walls?) None or very limited parking in the Old Town so be prepared for a shortish walk to the Jenny Lind
