Our family of 5, including 3 teenagers, loved our short stay at Dark Skies Cottage. The house was beautifully decorated, well equipped and within easy walking distance to cafes, shops and the pub.

We stayed at Dark Skies with our children and loved the property and location. An easy walk to town and half hour drive to a number of beautiful bushwalks in the Warrumbungles. The house itself is very comfortable, beautifully decorated (love the plants), and warm for the colder Coonabarrabran winters. It was perfect for our family with kids (high chair, toys, books, plastic plates/cups etc plus a large fenced yard). Vanessa is a great host, communicative and friendly. We would definitely stay again 😃

The cottage is pretty, cosy and very clean. It is in a great location with the main street just around the corner. We appreciated the little extras - eggs, milk and condiments. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for having us!

Stayed at Dark Skies for a week On October. The cotttage was excellent and fit for purpose for cyclists Plenty of outdoor space, a lockable laundry big enouigh to secure the 6 bikes we had. Rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. Updated kitchen and bathroom were well appointed, plenty of kitchenware available. The one downside was the condition of the bbq. Looked like it hadnt been cleaned for sometime and obvious the previous users hadnt bothered to clean. Other than that, its a great place to chill out and base yourself for a short or longer stay. Just a 25min drive to the Warrumbungles. All shops within a 15minute walk.

Loved the cleanliness and consideration of the small touches, tea/coffee. The electric blankets and heating were a very welcome on our frosty stay. Having off street parking and a secure backyard for the kids to run and play soccer was also brilliant. Would definitely return to this cute little house.

Had a wonderful two night stay at this cottage, which had everything you need to feel at home. Very well set up kitchen south had stove and dishwasher, full sized fridge, heating/cooling, electric blankets, bathrobes, and a washer and dryer. Couldn't have asked for more. Excellent quality, value and location. We would love to come back.

Absolutely beautiful cottage - felt like home (but nicer). Everything you need for a short break was supplied and everything top quality. Our only disappointment was we couldn’t stay longer on this trip, but we will definitely be back (and hopefully get some stargazing in at the nearby observatory too).

Gorgeous and well equipped cottage. Had everything we needed including a fabulous deep bath. An absolute shame we couldn’t have stayed longer and explored the beautiful Warrambungle region. Highly recommend and would happily stay again. Thank you.

This is a charming property upgraded to current requirements. Very comfortable. A short walk to the main street and off a quiet side road. Excellent for exploring the area and a very comfortable nights sleep.

This property was booked for 3 workers to stay at. The workers advised this property was very clean and had a home like cozy feel. Property manager was very easy to communicate with and extremely responsive to any questions. We will definitely look to book this property in again.

House is great. Only small issue is… the bathroom mirror is too high for people under 1.5m (young children for example). Perhaps a second mirror would be useful.

This gorgeous home was absolutely perfect for our family. Vanessa, was very accommodating and definitely went above and beyond to ensure we got in earlier than 2pm, responded quickly and great communication. We visited for a wedding and found this property so convenient in location (close to centre of town and the park), great size rooms, beautifully decorated, clean, great amenities, huge backyard. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and will stay there again. We didn't want to leave! Can't fault this property.

Dark Skies cottage is a gem, excellent location both within the town and the local area. We could both cook some excellent meals in the modern well equiped kitchen or walk to the local pub and restaurant for dinner. The cottage was light, bright and warm. Highly recommended.

Loved the whole experience here. Would return 100%. Beautifully equipped, loved the fireplace and the bath. As well as sitting on the balcony in the sun every morning!
