About this apartment rental

Sleeping 13 guests, Alexander House is a superb property for a family gathering. The house is at the end of a private no-through road making it very peaceful and secluded but it is also only a very short distance to the beach, the Meare and other attractions in Thorpeness, and a walk along the beach to Aldeburgh. Downstairs there is a large, open-plan living space with a well equipped kitchen, dining area and comfy seating. There is a further sitting room with a cosy wood burning stove and large television with Sky so everyone can have their own space and enjoy relaxing.

Upstairs the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with rainfall shower over the bath. There are a further two bedrooms with a king-size bed and a double bed, a twin room and a further room with three single beds and an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom has a separate rain fall shower and a bath. The house has the added attraction of a downstairs bedroom with a bathroom which is ideal for less mobile guests.

The garden is enclosed and provides a lovely space for eating out with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is off road parking for up to four cars.

Kitchen area with large American style fridge freezer, Aga range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and central island with breakfast bar. Nespresso coffee machine provided - please supply your own pods. The dining space has a large table and chairs and the table can be extended to seat a large party. The sitting room area has a large corner sofa and armchairs. There is a large television with a DVD player and Sky package.
Utility room
With washing machine, butlers sink and a door to the garden. Iron, ironing board and clothes airer provided.
Cloakroom
With WC and wash basin.
Sitting room
With a sofa and armchair, a further television and a wood burning stove.
Study
With desk and chair.
Bedroom six
With two 3' single beds and french doors leading to the back of the house.
Shower room
With rainfall shower, WC and wash basin.

First Floor:
Master bedroom
With a super-king size bed and a television. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bath with rainfall shower over, WC and wash basin.
Bedroom two
With twin 3' single beds and a wash basin.
Bedroom three
With three 3' single beds. En-suite shower room with shower, WC and wash basin.
Bedroom four
With a king-size bed, wash basin and television.
Bedroom five
With a double bed.
Bathroom
With separate bath, rainfall shower, wash basin and WC.

Outside:
Enclosed garden with patio area, garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue.
Parking for four cars.

Infants welcome, please bring your own cot and high chair.
Please note that the staircase is steep, winding and it isn't possible to fit a stair gate.

Perfect property for three families

Property is perfect for three families. Plenty of space, plenty of bathrooms, wide outdoor areas and in such a lovely location, so close to lake, golf club snd pub.

Gorgeous house in a fantastic location, so lucky to have found it, suited our group of 3 families perfectly! Thorpeness was an ideal base, a great pub, beach, & the Meare all literally on your doorstep!

Alexander House is a great place for a large group. It comfortably sleeps 13 in 6 bedrooms and has a huge kitchen and living area. It also has a large garden. We loved the location and walked to the Meare and beach every day! Will definitely book again!

First class property ideal for family groups

Super house for family groups. Plenty of space and all the facilities you could possibly need. The garden is superb for younger children to play. Located in a private road close to the beach and Mere in Thorpeness, a quiet alternative to the busy Aldeburgh. Excellent pub a couple of minutes walk away.

really amazing house, great location for boating lake and beach would definitely stay again. take your golf clubs as you back onto the practise area.
