This was one of the best homes I've stayed in. It was clean and in a great location. I had a group of 5 girls, but it could easily and comfortably house 6.
I had a request and the host granted it without any issue. I would definitely stay here again.

The stay is in the basement of a brownstone and though they did their best with the decor I would say the photos are misleading. The space is very dark as there is only windows in the bedrooms, and the outdoor space looks nothing at like the photos and was not inviting at all. We did not enjoy our stay honestly, not for any reason really under the hosts control as the building is what it is, but if we had seen the place as it truly is we would not have booked as it is not for us.
It was lovely to have the coffee and snacks provided, and the place is clean and well decorated. The beds and pillows are fine, water pressure is extreme (like being cleaned with a pressure washer!) and never ran out of hot water.
The location is spot on for Hoboken and ease of accessing (15 minute walk) trains and ferries to New York. Very close to eateries and pubs. Though it is loud and we were woken every morning by the building garbage cans and people doing something with them. The host does provide earplugs so I suppose it’s an ongoing issue. You also enter the suite by walking down a hallway that is mold and mildew ridden with such an aggressive smell we would hold our breathes and run.
For somewhere to lay our head it was fine, but for the extended stay it was tiring as we didn’t enjoy the space so couldn’t decompress, I would say it’s better to post photos of the actual space as it is while in it so people can decide if it’s for them or not.

Positive points on this property are location to NYC and the great neighbourhood of Hoboken.
Having a washer and dryer was great and the toiletry accessories was a nice touch.
It was clean on the surface but this place could use a serious deep clean and refresh. Patio is not as it appears in pictures and there were only two drinking glasses, other than coffee mugs and wine glasses. No dishcloths to wash dishes with.
The welcome snack are a nice touch and having the dehumidifier was essential as it is pretty damp in the basement.
Overall, the location won us over and if the owners cared, they would invest in a proper cleaning company and refresh the paint and grout in the bathrooms.

Stayed 4 nights with our 2 kids during heat of the summer. This place gave us tons of room for everyone, had great beds & pillows, soft towels, a fully equipped kitchen, a great sofa, a fun patio -- all very clean and in a fantastic part of Hoboken. Parked our car at the Midtown garage & everyone there was great as well.

Really well located property for getting into NY. Very comfortable beds and good to have air con but the property overall is quite dated and could do with a refurb.

This was a cute place in a really nice neighborhood. Very clean and spacious for family of five. Lots of stores within a couple blocks.

Pros: good amount of space, good beds!, clean!, location was great, lovely neighborhood just one block away from very good restaurants!!!
Cons: outdoor space not as pictured-dark and smelly; upstairs neighbors were LOUD stomping starting at about 10 pm until midnight - earplugs were provided but the noise and reverberations woke us up anyway as if there someone trying to get in; good kitchen but no prep bowls or even a can opener.
OVERALL a good stay, just know what you’re getting.

The apartment was perfect for our family holiday to NYC - Dad, Mom and Son - in so many ways:
Size
Location - quiet street
Proximity to public transit
Neighbourhood - this part of Hoboken is very vibrant e.g. cafes, restaurants, etc
I'm not sure if we'll ever be back this way, but if we do we'd love to stay at this apartment.
We highly recommend.

We had a great time and the apartment met our expectations. Mena, the host was responsive and provided helpful information and suggestions. As we were mid day arrivals with no rental car to store luggage while we explored prior to the 4:00Pm check in time; we were allowed to put our things inside while the cleaning crew was there. The location a block from the bus line with transit to the PATH subway was very convenient
When we saw the host provided earplugs, we were concerned about noise? That was NOT an issue. The neighborhood was as quiet as staying at a place in the mountains!

Our family really enjoyed staying here. Our kids loved the space and could really relax after a long day out and about. Location is terrific for local shops, nice places to eat and transportation to the city.

Great location. Clean and well stocked. Only issue is door to apartment hard to open. Otherwise, appreciated the well stocked bathroom and kitchen!

Nice property with 2/2. Good for 4 people. Small back patio was nice in evenings. Small details (chair cushions for wooden chairs, directions for TV usage) would be nice. Thanks for assortment of snacks…

Great location and nice apartment. Host was slow to respond to messages but very detailed information was available in a guestbook at the apartment. Everything needed for our stay was supplied. Bedrooms were a good size and both bathrooms had showers. Older place that is tidy but needs painting and a good deep clean. All in all a good stay in a fantastic location.

Overall a comfortable stay, this property is very well located and close to many transport options, including the NJ transit bus to Port Authority (midtown NYC). Basement apartment was well presented although access to the front door could be improved as it is not very welcoming. Good amenities and great suggestions for nearby cafes/restaurants and supermarkets.

Nice apartment and neighborhood close to restaurants, Pier 13 and PATH subway to New York. Great host, wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The apartment was cosy and just as it showed on the pictures. Hoboken is a very good place to stay when visiting Manhattan if you like it to be a little bit more quiet but still close to lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping. The patio and the entrance was not very clean but we came in a time where there had been a lot of rain so it might be because of that. The apartment was nice and tidy and the AC worked great all through it was over 30 degrees Celsius outside.

Very comfortable spacious apartment for a family of 4. Half an hour into central NYC either by bus or train.

Hoboken is a quiet place to stay with a lot of cute shops and restaurants nearby. Also, the bus is around the corner and drops you at 42nd street within 20 mins. Nice beds, great amenities (appreciated the ear plugs as I am a sensitive sleeper).

Location was good, the beds were awesomely comfortable, and had everything we needed. All neighbors we met were so friendly. I don't see how we could have asked for more. My daughter in-law wants to know what the mattresses were so she can get one.

Great location being close to downtown Hoboken and trains to NYC. Nice having more space than typical hotel room.

We had a great vacation. My brother ran the NYC marathon. The apartment was convenient, clean and cute. The neighborhood is close to everything and very safe. All the neighborhood shop keepers were friendly. I highly recommend.

This apartment is terrific. We really loved it. The beds are very comfortable, it is nicely decorated, everything looks new and clean, and the location is perfect. Multiple forms of public transportation are within walking distance and there are many shops and restaurants available in the neighborhood. It is easy to get to Manhattan and come back late at night. Parking is available at a nearby garage and worked very well. We would come back in a New York minute!

This is an excellent location if wanting to be near NYC! The train station is about a 20 min walk away that will take you directly to the WTC. Near the rental are MANY restaurants and shops. We found a Malaysian restaurant for dinner the first night of our stay that was absolutely delicious! Mena, the owner was so very helpful and was a delight to communicate with. She quickly fixed an issue the first night of our stay which we appreciated. The basement apartment was perfect for my family of 4 ( 2 adults, 8 year old and 1 year old). There is even an oven/range which was great when we wanted to prepare our own meals. We hope to definitely book this VRBO again when we return to the NJ/NYC area.

We loved our stay. The neighborhood was lovely, great coffee shop two blocks away with hot chocolate so good my daughter was there daily. The outdoor space was such a treat. Easy access to the waterfront and public transportation. Everything we needed was right there. Two bathrooms was an added treat! Will definitely stay again if the opportunity presents itself.

Apt needs some updating and bug control.
First, let me say that the location was fabulous. Our kids live down the street The room sizes were great and it was wonderful having two bathrooms. Loved having a full kitchen. We had a noisy washer, but we were grateful for even having a washer and dryer, the refrigerator made a loud clanging that disturbed our sleep. The worst was the hundreds of bugs that came up through the kitchen sink. I mentioned all of these issues to the host. Her response was that she would have someone take care of it after we left. We were there for 5 nights. I did ask for an adjustment, but got no response. It is a basement apartment and did smell somewhat musty, but it had rained for days. Overall, I think all of these issues are easy fixes and should be done before renting out the place again.

Hoboken Gem
We had a great time staying at this propert. It was in the best neighborhood, within walking distance to wonderful restaurants, shops & public transportation. Moran's brunch was amazing! The beds were comfy for when we collapsed into a deep sleep after having busy, fun filled days enjoying Hoboken & NYC. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!
