Newly renovated 1928 house in the heart of downtown New Castle. If you like great food, laid back atmosphere and tons of outdoor activities, you'll love New Castle. This property is super unique and located right next door to the one and only Hogback Pizza!! Bring your bikes, paddle boards, and sense of adventure!
Please keep in mind New Castle has active train tracks so you will experience the excitement of trains running through the middle of town at any time. They're loud and exhilarating!! Great for train buffs! We look forward to you staying at Sparky's Place!

My family was in the area for an event in Glenwood Springs, CO. This house was about a 40-45 minute drive from there; however, the price and overall look of the place made it worth it! The restaurant was amazing; house was very clean and welcoming! We will definitely stay here again if in the area.
Only downside is the train(s) that come through at different hours of the day. Those could possibly wake you up throughout the night but wasn't an issue with my family.

We loved our stay at the little house in Newcastle! What a cool town! We came in for a wedding and after working hard for our friends to get the wedding off the ground to come to the house in Newcastle and the clean, quiet, restful space it was... exactly what we needed! We loved the ability to chill around the kitchen island at night and get restful sleep at night! Even with the train!
I so want to come back and stay here again! So glad we found this place, thank you!

We were in New Castle for Rides & Reggae event. A really fun 2 day event. Our VRBO was great. Clean, charming, lots or character and a great location. Check in and check out was really easy. We’d happily stay there again.

My friend and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. We felt so comfortable during our stay. We enjoyed the delicious pizza next door, highly recommend!! The owners included everything we needed and some extras. We appreciated the thoughtfulness put into this place. I would love to stay here again!!

Very cute remodel of an older home. The location was very convenient (we were looking for property a bit West and East of here and anywhere in between). We stayed with our adult daughter and her husband. The small one bathroom was something to work around with 4 adults, but we are easy going and made it work. The beds were comfortable (recommend to place a dresser in each bedroom) and the living and kitchen space good places to hang out. Overall, loved the stay.

This place looks just like the pictures! It was an adorable small home that was comfortable for our family (two adults and one young child). We had a hiccup at check in, but the property owner was quick to respond and correct it. Overall a lovely stay, and somewhere we are likely to visit again in the future.

We loved the location of this as it was an easy stop on the route to our final destination. However some feedback I have is that if a property is going to have a strict no pet policy it might be a good idea to not have a sofa and chair that have possibly been used as a scratching post for a cat. My sister had a bit of an allergy fare up from sitting in the armchair in the main room. Another item to note would be to have at least the front a/c until on, when we arrived the home was VERY hot and took a while to cool off. Other then that the bedrooms were nice and clean and cool with their own a/c units and the bath towels were lovely and fluffy and a nice surprise for a rental property. Thanks!

A quaint spot that was perfect for our two night stay. Away from the busier Glenwood Springs just up the highway. We enjoyed our stay!

This property exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, with great amenities and a great location. We were so impressed by the charming design, the proximity to local restaurants and shops, as well as the cleanliness. The laundry room was the cherry on top. Our host was kind and informative, and the pizza shop they own next door was so delicious.
Our one concern was the lack of window coverings in common areas. We come from Denver, where we cherish our privacy, so this was kind of creepy, especially for my sister who slept on the pullout bed in the living room. I'm guessing that's normal for smaller towns, but something to keep in mind!
Overall such a special spot to spend time with loved ones, and soak in the hot springs nearby!!! 10/10 loved it

We enjoyed our brief stay. There were a lot of little goodies for us when we arrived. Communication was great. My only issue was the lack of window coverings and the two broken windows that were taped together. Otherwise a very unique place in a beautiful location. Really wish I could have tried their pizza at Hogback but didn't have time.

Pleasant house in a nice small town
Really liked our stay in Newcastle. The property owners responded quickly . and everything was as they said it would be. It was perfect for our family of 5. Good food right next door and we made a nightly tradition of playing pinball. I would definitely stay again.

The house was well equipped, clean, and pleasant. The train is very close but doesn’t come very often. New castle was relaxing and a unexpected surprise with great place to ride bikes and good restaurants

This house had nice rustic and modern decor making it feel very comfy and inviting. The house is spacious and very clean. The host was very nice and responsive. We will definitely stay here again!

Cleaning Supplies
The property was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The only suggestion is to use cleaning supplies WITHOUT perfumes. The unit was heavily odored with cleaning supply perfume.

The most incredible place
Diana and Dustin are incredibly thoughtful, down to the pizza gift card to little flowers on the table for Valentine’s Day/ my birthday! The house so was warm and cozy, we were sad to leave! Can’t wait to stay again!

Downtown Newcastle is like a hallmark card.
I have been coming to Newcastle since 1997. I did not realize that downtown was so cool. We participated in handing out candy at their first ever Halloween party for downtown Newcastle. We were 3 guys who came out west to hunt. We wanted to be able find a place that was not too far from where we hunt and this place was awesome. It was perfect for relaxing after the morning hunt. We could walk to get breakfast or coffee every morning. We ate dinner downtown 3 of the 8 nights. We hope to bring our wives out with us next time. The trains going through added to the experience. I hope we can stay here again.

Great place! Perfect home base for exploring Glenwood Springs and the surrounding area. House was exactly as pictured/described. Clean, cute, well-stocked. Wonderful host with good communication. Would recommend!

Great little house in a convenient location!
We enjoyed our stay in this house in New Castle for a long weekend getaway. It was outfitted with everything we needed for our family of 5. It was hot when we were there but the 3 window AC units did a good job of cooling things down pretty quickly. The food at Hogback Pizza next door was great! I would recommend this VRBO for a nice location convenient to the Roaring Fork Valley as well as Rifle and other destinations to the west. We would definitely stay there again!

Cute little house right on main St we had a great time and had everything we needed the only issue was the mattresses were a very stiff firm memory foam but overall the house was great!

Amazing stay
It was such a nice place to spend the night it was my husband, 2 friends, and myself that stayed there was plenty of space for us all. We heard the train twice during the evening but luckily none through the night so we were able to get a good night's rest. The pizza parlor next door has amazing food and a great atmosphere. The owner was very welcoming and just so nice.

Nice, clean cottage in town
Great Bungalow, right in the center of town. Clean, recently remodeled, with a fun point of view. Was in town to ride bikes in the area with friends and it was a great spot to use as a home base.

Loved our stay in the adorable little town of New Castle! The location was perfect for all our activities in Glenwood! It was so nice to have a kitchen to cook in and a living space for everyone to enjoy together, but room enough for everyone to have their own sleeping areas!

This was the ideal VRBO!
Here are a few things I loved! Very clean and comfortable, great location, cute and tastefully decorated, comfortable beds. Fresh flowers, snacks, sign in book, welcome note and a discount to the pizza place next door made the place earn 6 stars out of 5! It was perfect. Thank you!!!
