The Loft in beautiful Carrick

Our host Julie was brilliant, we were able to get into the loft early which worked really well for us. The loft is a great stay with all you need for a short stay but would also work for longer stays. Julie was a door knock or phone call away if needed. Thank you.

The only negatives were road noise though having worked shift in the past and always carrying earplugs when travelling this wasn't a major issue. The other was not having control on the heating. It was a little chilly late at night and early morning. To be fair Julie did say call her and she would adjust the temp for us. We just didn't feel comfortable calling her late evening or early am to ask for heating. A minor issue but worth thinking about when they carry out the upgrade she said was planned.

an absolutely charming place with disappointing landlords

The premises are absolutely beautiful, the accommodation provided is spacious and welcoming, from the tips left by the landlords, to fully equipped kitchen. Sitting at the balcony in the morning and adoring the view was absolutely magical. Truly high standard.

The Landlords forgot about my booking which was paid in advance and left for holidays with no prior message. When I arrived quite late in the evening, the property was empty and dark, with no access provided. I tried to contact Booking but the range was too weak. Finally I asked neighbours for help, they summoned the relatives and I managed to get in, after almost two hours of uncertainty and anxiety. I was promised full reimbursement which never happened. While I was able to finally get in, without the hassle of finding alternatives which weren't many or easily available, I feel this is not the way to treat your guests. I tried to contact the property before submitting this review but in vain, never responded to my messages via booking.com and calls get redirected to the automatic machine. I will be happy to hear some explanation or apology from the landlords (the relatives who helped me were very kind and apologetic) UPDATE: Following this review, the Landlords have contacted with me and processed the payment. Thank you very much.

Well set up.

Easy to access with a keylock. Spacious and very clean. We couldn’t use the little balcony because of the weather but it looked lovely with a countrside view. The apartment was very well set up. We thought the road might be noisy but it wasn’t at all.

Great wee spot!

Absolutely brilliant wee spot, so clean and fresh! Everything you could need and we had the best sleep, really comfortable bed.

ok pleasant enough. cheap stay . nice vibe in the apartment . LOVED THE VELUX LOVED LOVED LOVED :)))

squeaky bed , squeaky door , some of the cutlery provided not clean . no extractor fan for the cooking hub provided. streaming service very bad . first night managed to get youtube working for a while second night tv not connecting to wifi from main house. , no curtain on glass door to the balcony. heasting controled from the main house and the appartment got cold at certain times of the day. mentioned to the host but nothing changed. but LOVED THE VELUX. LOVED LOVED LOVED.

Lovely stay!

We liked how cosy it was, warm, clean, the bed was so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more! It was private and quiet and we weren't bothered by anyone. The shops were only a few minutes away also, so very convenient.

Nothing i didnt like. I would say that a small roof over the balcony or covering the door would be perfect for when it rains so you can still go out, but everything was perfect :)

Fantastic, comfortable and clean

The loft was a very lovely accommodation suited perfectly for both solo travellers and couples. It was very clean and comfortable, would definitely keep in consideration for my next trip over 😊

the perfect getaway for a low price

I’ve stayed here three times previously and it’s always the same, it’s a beautiful quiet property with stunning views outside and warm clean comfort inside.

Cosy hideaway

Beautiful views, lovely cosy hideaway with contactless check-in and check-out. Bed waa super comfortable, TV had streaming channels, smart little kitchen and modern bathroom. Essentials such as coffee/sugar, pantry items and toiletries provided. Nice touch with a few Christmas decorations on display.

A roof on the balcony and a patio heater would take this place to the next level!
