Nice woodwork in the cabin and the meticulous maintenance throughout. The cabin is really isolated in a big field; no one else around. Note that saw blades on the gate are not just decorative; they can cut your fingers. Like many other rentals, this one offers no place to put your stuff. All surfaces in the kitchen, except a 3 x 3 table are covered with equipment. Even the luggage rack in the bedroom is stuffed with extra quilts and pillows, likewise the dresser top and drawers.

Whether you are driving through or want to stay a while, I urge you to not miss this beautiful home. Right on the river. Steps away from a wonderful swimming area and right outside town. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

Highlight was my telephone died so we lost all the info re this stay. Tried to get it fixed but couldn't so we're in Del Norte at 7pm we with no information about our stay. Called Verbo reached call center at 3am there time. They found our booking and arranged for the stay. Very greatfull for that nice call center employee

I stayed here for 9 days to hunt unit 68. The house and property were better than expected, and very secure and private. We met the owner while having dinner in town on our last night. He was a very nice guy and went out of his way to introduce himself. This is one of the nicest places I have stayed, and I hope to come back. Plenty of room for our group, and very clean.

Very easy to deal with Chad. Locked gate is nice extra layer of security, not that there is any issue. Del Norte is small town with enough stores to be perfect base. I’d it again in a heartbeat.

Great place!
We had a great experience! Very clean, all the beds were super comfortable (even the pullout couches), lots of room to spread out, enjoyed the property by the river. Only 2 things- the shower was pretty small but there was unlimited hot water! The cabin is pretty close to the road, so we heard the snow plows. The good stuff far outweighs any negatives. Would definitely stay here again!

Great little cabin near Wolf Creek Ski Area
Came to the area from South TX to find snow and did! About a 35 min. drive to the Wolf Creek Ski Area. The cabin itself was warm and cozy with very nice property owners.

We had a great time at this property. There was plenty of room to park with a trailer attached which was very nice. It was great to be close to town but still fairly remote. We enjoyed our stay.

Great spot to stay for any hunter/fisherman or anyone who loves the outdoors.
The place was neat and tidy and in great shape and the owners family was second to none Great People!!! The fire pit outside was nice at night to chill by. I will stay here if we are in the area again, the stream running along side the property was full of beautiful trout and fly fishing for them was incredible. A must stay for anyone. Great location for the San Juan Mountains to hunt or ride trails and Sam at Seldana bikes is awesome if you want to ride some trails and rent a bike he’s right around the block. Mike D.

Lovely wood walls and ceilings. Big windows and custom blinds. Large east facing covered porch and extended deck. Fire pit with wood supply to enjoy every night. Glider and lawn chairs. Picnic table close to fire pit. Privacy fence on one side of property closes off neighboring house. Walkable river access. Locked gate onto property. Stacked washer and dryer. Owners easily accessible and very nice. Would definitely rebook!! Some highway noise but we kept the windows open all the time.

River, cows, and relaxation
I stayed for a month and loved it. Bob & Kathy are great hosts. They kept me apprised of town events and made sure I had everything I needed at the cabin. They even took me to a 4H Fair in Monte Vista when they learned I had not attended one before. The property is huge and my dog loved our twice daily walks along the river, though she was a little intimidated by the cows. I was very sad to leave and will miss Bob & Kathy!

Awesome place
The place is very roomy, clean and has all the comforts of a home - Listing pics don't do justice. Private setting via gate and with access to river - that is very cool. Shower/bathroom small but has a roomy area for vanity/sink. 1 bedroom but 2 sofa sleepers were comfortable. Still being use by owners for cattle in the back - great interaction with them. Great location -This is a gem!

Awesome quiet cabin!
This cabin is great; awesome location in a farm-like setting within walking distance to the river. There's an outdoor area for roasting marshmallows etc and it was the perfect size for four to six people with all necessary amenities and close to town.

Amazing!
The pictures do not do this listing justice. Everything was clean! The linens and towels were high quality. The set up of 2 pull outs was perfect for our family. We caught fish in the Rio Grande without even having to leave the property! It was an amazing family vacation. Kathy was so sweet to show us the cows. CC the cat was also an adorable host!

This cabin was spacious and spotless. The property was the best surprise: cattle grazing peacefully in the meadow with the woods in the background. We wished we could stay longer!

Loved the stay
The cabin was clean and extremely comfortable. The river borders the property and is so pretty. The view of the mountains from the porch was just awesome. We had snow almost daily which was a real treat for someone from Texas! The deer liked to wander through around dusk.
