We loved everything about our stay in the house on the mountains. The house is spacious and clean. It’s described exactly in the listing. All details about a rental house were obviously carefully considered. The location is perfect. Bryson City is a wonderful launching point to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Nantahala Outdoor Center. Bryson City itself has everything needed for vacation. We explored the whole area but it was always hard to pull ourselves away from the amazing view. Thank you, Karen

We met up with our adult children and had a marvelous visit! Easy to get to, great views of the mountains and plenty of space. One of the neighbors has a big fluffy dog that came to visit. There was even firewood that was cut and ready to use! The property owner was really good at communicating, too. A great stay!

Perfect stay for our group of 3 couples! The home is in a perfect location to start our motorcycle rides each day. It’s convenient, clean and has beautiful views! Karen is great to work with and responds quickly to questions. Would definitely recommend this home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The view out over the mountains is spectacular, the location is quiet and the house has everything you need for a vacation. It was nice to be able to drive 15 minutes in any direction and have fun things to do: hiking, kayaking, scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, activities in Cherokee, etc. We also enjoyed stargazing from the back deck and making s'mores over the fire pit. A wonderful week in the Smoky Mountains!

This lovely property was very private and really had a great view. The house had a lot of outdoor deck areas to sit and enjoy being outside. We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit with the family. There are four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and another half bath that worked well for all of us. The covered parking was a plus for the four vehicles that were there. The property is only minutes from Bryson City which we always enjoy visiting. Cherokee and a couple golf courses were only 20 minutes from the house. We frequently visit this area during Easter break and this was another great family get-together.

First this is a wonderful place. Top of a mountain, clean, close to downtown. Great fire pit. Very nice. We were there during an ice storm (right before christmas 2022), pipe froze. It was difficult and all was handled well by the owners. And the neighbors are great too.

We have been coming to the North Carolina and Tennessee mountains each fall for several years. If at all possible, this will be the place to stay from now on. The view is outstanding.

This was a very meaningful trip for our family as one of our members is terminally ill and seeing the mountains and foliage was one of the things she wanted to do. She selected this home from the many we considered. It was exactly as described and the view was even more breathtaking than the pics showed. The house is cozy, the bedding is so comfortable and the owner is very accommodating and kind. This house is a MUST for your next visit to the area!!!

We found the check in and check out process extremely easy. Communication gets an A+. The views can't be beat. We were here for a girls trip and found the accommodations perfect, with plenty of comfortable beds and enough bathrooms for a group of women!

Absolutely beautiful property, gorgeous mountain views, so much beautifully decorated interior-like something you would see on HGTV (think JoAnna Gaines modern farmhouse style 😍). And only about 4 min from downtown Bryson City. Beds slept very comfortably and the twin over full bunk bed worked out great for our boys! Awesome place, thankful to have been able to enjoy this home, hope to visit again someday!

Beautiful Views
This is an amazing property up the side of a hill. The road gains a lot of elevation in a short time, is fully paved and easy to navigate, with payoffs of amazing open views of the local and far off mountains and valleys! We visited the area for all of the outdoor activities, but were also perfectly happy sitting on the outdoor deck watching the view shift with the sun and clouds. Karen was a great host and had provided all the amenities for her guests! The bedrooms and beds were all comfortable (our group of six was spread out on all 3 floors and in every bedroom) and the bathrooms were spacious. The kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked with every tool we needed and much more. I definitely hope to return and spend more time at this mountaintop retreat.

A view that awesome and so close to Bryson downtown
I can't imagine there's another rental available with such incredible furnishings, patio views of the Smokies, and being so close to downtown. If you love horses, you could spend hours looking at all the horse themed art, decorations, and furnishings. Beds super comfy. Plenty of room for parking even if a group of 8 adults each brought their own car. House layout is awesome for groups that have just as many single adults as couples, or multiple families bringing kids, with a bathroom in 3 bedrooms and a half bath near the kitchen.
If I'm going to be very picky, the 1 itty bitty downside is that for a house this big the AC unit was just 1 zone for entire house, and there was only 1 ceiling fan in the house in the 3rd floor master bedroom, so the 1st floor and 3rd floor bedrooms had to be set at the same temp. If our group ever goes back to Bryson, I can't imagine we'll consider another place.

When looking for a place to book, I saw the pictures of this home in Bryson City and I was amazed! The house and the stay did not disappoint-I did not want to leave. The owner was readily available for questions-from recommended places to eat, grocery stores, etc. Overall, a great experience and would gladly visit again.

Get away in the mountains.
We enjoyed our stay at Heaven on the Mountain Top. The view was by far the highlight, it never got old. we spent a lot of time on the deck. We enjoyed the sunrises, sunsets and even the days when it was foggy. The place had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and it was well equipped. Karen was very responsive and attentive to us while we were there. Bryson City is a cute and quiet town which was just what we were looking for. We did many nearby hikes, ziplining, and other activities in the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend this place for your next vacation.

Absolutely Fantastic
We stayed here for three nights mid June. Four adult couples on our annual motorcycle trip. This property was perfect for us. Paved road all the way to the house. Plenty of parking. And very nice covered carport to park the bikes under. Million dollar view from the back porch. We really enjoyed that. The house was perfect for four couples. Plenty of space and plenty of privacy for all. Great location close to town. Very clean and updated. Nicely appointed. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this property. We will definitely stay here again. Host was EXCELLENT and extremely accommodating. Excellent communication and availability We loved it!

Great house and easy gateway to Great Smoky NP
Girls week filled with hiking (including up to LeConte Lodge!) and other activities. The house is as described - the view is fabulous. House is very clean and private, and communication with Karen was superb and immediate. All the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked for cooking, the washer and dryer worked well, shower water supply and pressure excellent. Supplies of TP, paper towels, garbage bags, shampoo, soap, lotion, laundry detergent all plentiful. The layout is made for socializing, the deck is wonderful for after the day's activity/evening/sunrise and enjoying the birds and evening spring peeper frog songs. The bedrooms were all very private and quiet. The master on the first floor and upstairs bedroom had deck access, which was really nice. The hot tub was nice to have, as was the covered parking. We didn't use the fire pit. The road up is twisty and turny, but paved and very drivable, even at night. Karen texted directions including photos, which made it easy to find the first day. Easy access to Bryson City, GSNP, Gatlinburg only 1hr15 min away. I would absolutely stay here again!

On subjects that mattered to me when booking and beyond
Let me tip off by saying that we really enjoyed the property location, the scenery, &the pre-preparation that came along with the booking. Found the house to be very well equipped concerning things such at towels, cooking utensils, appliances, etc. Communication with the property owner was easy/thorough.... and as a result there really was no check-in/out process..... it was so fluid that it didn't exist (that's a positive statement) The house is located in a nice clean neighborhood &that cleanliness applied to the home as well.
For our situation we were trying to establish a location close enough to the Cherokee casino that some folks could stay on casino property &others remain in the rental. This property is only about a 15 minute drive to the Casino. Its also worth noting that the drive to & from the casino is composed of "non-mountain" highways... meaning they are easy to navigate day or night, sober or otherwise...... Its not winding roads that you are hesitant to travel. As I said: this was important for our situation. One last thought on that: we went in February and had no trouble with the roads/access whether via car or 4wd truck.
I wanna cover space: outside first. Facility has a wonderful amount of outside space. This includes sufficient parking for several people to be able to come & go without playing musical cars. Firepit at the edge of the property is pictured well on VRBO and is a great asset. But what is not as clear is the amount of space on the outside decks of the home. There are three total: one attached to the master bedroom, one on the main floor of the home, and one "ground floor" area where the hot tub resides. These, in my opinion, were a wonderful asset that allowed for some great views, but more importantly gives sufficient area for people to migrate &mingle without the feeling of being on top of each other. Used properly, its offers sufficient opportunity for 4 women to complain about 4 men and neither party needs to whisper.
Regarding the inside space there is one positive that I did not pick up on from the photos. The master & lower bedrooms are situated such that they are above and below the main floor far enough that those rooms have privacy from sound even when others are enjoying the living area. With proper bedroom allocation, some folks can go to roost early while other folks party like its 1999.

Heaven On The Mountain Top
This is a very nice facility close to Bryson City. We were hoping for something more remote but it was nice to be close to town. One bedroom does not have its own bathroom which created a minor inconvenience. We loved our stay here and the property is well maintained with very nice mountain views. The host was very helpful. We loved our time here. 4 1/2 stars out of 5
